Bhaai kuch information missing aur galat hai. Missing - WAP 5 heavy train ko khich nahi pate the acche se. Acceleration time WAP 4 se v zyada hai iska. WAP 5 was made to actually haul fast trains not heavy ones, due to which it had issues when doing superfast express duties. Now WAG 9 and WAP 7s are slowly taking over, from the WAP 4s. Incorrect information - WAP 1 used Alstom TAO 659 motors from WAM 4, the problem why WAP 1 was finding things difficult was the low power Alstom motors. The Hitachi HS15250 motors run on 750 V DC and output more kWs. This is the reason WAP 4 can still manage 130 kmph with heavy trains. WAP 7 came up much later after the 6000 HP WAG9s were inducted. Also the asymmetric trimount AlCO bogies of the WAP 1 was changed to a Flexicoil design.
