If the mechanic smoking cigarette while working, dont worry, it means that u found and experienced mechanic, and that cigarette is very important, it help the mechanic stay focus and constantly keep his brain working.
Cool build and good job. Not sure if you or your mechanic has suggested to clean the injectors and have the injector seals replaced, and replace the in-line fuel filter and/or the fuel pump filter since it is a diesel. Have the spark plugs inspected. Change the transmission & t-case oil if you haven't. I highly recommend you replace the fusible link which is the little black box hanging on the side of your battery that's connected to the power side of batter because when those fail your truck wont turn on. You can always keep the old fusible link as a spare. Do some research but IIRC there's two fusible links, not in the same location. Good deal on adding the additional blinkers to the rear bumper and consider adding some reverse lights as well if they're blocked. You can always add a back-up rear view mirror if you wanted. Regarding your new springs I'm not sure if those were taller than the stock springs but if they were then you've lost caster on the front tires. I'm not sure what the factory caster is on your truck (you can look up what the stock factory spec is) but you can fix that by adding caster correction brackets that connect the front radius arms to the front axle to recover the caster you've lost by lifting your truck. Adding caster via caster correction plates (aim to have between 3-4 degrees) will allow your truck to drive down the road much better. If you're at 1 degree then your truck is 1 degree past the lowest end (2 degrees) of what Toyota deems acceptable. Even if the truck "feels normal or good" to you you'll notice the difference/improvement gaining caster. I do not recommend caster correction bushings as they seem to not last and also squeak in time. Once you're fully loaded and if you notice the rear sagging a smidge you can always measure the difference and install a spring spacer so that your truck is level. Lastly, did you ever resolve the clicking noise when the tires are turned? Most of often than not it is the ball bearings inside the cv joint that are worn out. Anyway, keep it up and looking forward to your next video.
Sifu clearly does not believe in OH&S. No goggles nor gloves used, plus operating a drop saw with one hand while the other holds a cigarette. Classic. 😁
Good spring with good absorber is very essential. My LJ79 using Dobinson spring front and ninja 80 front for rear combined with Pedders absorbers. Great combination so far
Sayang good video if I may mention something things. I noticed the clutch peddle did not return fully I noticed you pulled it up, this should not happen. Maybe change the return spring behind the peddle. I noticed some low hanging wires under the car. these need lifted up higher, cable ties will be fine if not you risk them being ripped off and maybe leave you stranded... Spare wheel carrier I notice is very close to the tailgate, needs to be adjusted out for clearance otherwise over bumps it will hit the tailgate and damage the body panel.
keras sgt bumpy ride nnti.....pasang airbag letak dalam spring.....bila bawa heavy loads boleh keras guna angin psi......so kereta tk bumpy bila kosong. abg guna airlift dari us guna pada sorento......bila heavy load baru tembak angin......boleh tampung 500kg extra load
Hi Jun. Nice upgrades. I’m about to start using a 4x4 Ford Everest for vehicle camping and road trip. There’re some upgrades I’m considering eg interiors and suspensions. However,, I’ll only do the suspensions upgrade last after my rig is fully loaded to get the BDM weight so that the suspension guys will know what type of suspension system to fix to avoid a situation of over-suspension ( stift ride ) or under-suspension ( under ride ). I may seek Wong Sifu if he could do a swivel front passenger seat modification as currently Ford don’t have that available. I like his McGyver’s style in solving some of the issues.
I love the way Wong Sifu approaches things but I definitely have to say he needs to get some welding and safety goggles otherwise he will have eyesight problems in the future.
The temperatur sensor for the radiator ist very important! In case the cooling system does not work your engine will overheat and you will need an new engine!
Happy New Year Jun !! Well it's a nice video about this upgrade of your Land Cruiser. Congrats to Mr Wong ⚙🛠🪛📐and to you. I can't wait to see your next upgrading video. 👍😃
your mechanic always does a good job for you but pls surprise him with some safety googles. its really important for his eyesight health so that he may service you longer
Ahh haa....not fair Jun. You work here in Red Springs. By the way your LC engine compartment looks like it has seen better days. Maybe time for a complete restoration of your engine and powertrain....
Spring still looks insufficient for the current load and you will be adding a larger load later, so you may need to anticipate another set of springs later on
If only you can turn back the clock,it would have been excellent documentation if the Current Black Colured Coil Springs placed Side by Side with the new Cream Colured Coils to see the Height Difference. Just a wish. The test drive is another aspect of verification for your new investment. Just my opinion.Best rgds from Kampar.
Hi Jun, Nice work on your LC. I have been looking for someone to help with my jerry can and Generator storage at the back of my truck. Something like your system. Could you provide any contact info ? Thanks

Seeing Mr Wong weld the new metal hooks for the jerry cans and Spare Wheel,I hope he has remembered to disconnect the battery BEFORE welding....
I love repairs and improvements as much as traveling.

Thank you for the informative video.

Wow,! Very nice, but seems quite hot in shop
I see there are a lot of metal fabricated onto the Land Cruiser which will increase its overall weight. What's the fuel consumption like on it?
Thank you for sharing

What is that extra lever on the left side of the gearbox shifter at the 20:20 and 32:02 mark?
I think that's the PTO winch control lever
Happy New Year Jun! I wish we could collaborate, emial plaese
i assume you have had a new water temp sensor and wiring directly on the engine and not just left it to boil it tits out if there is a problem

Makan modal 😅 tapi cantikkkkkkkkkkkk.
It's a shame your mechanic doesn't wear eye protection. I've seen some horrific injuries, through lack of PPE.
