Pixar let Disney control them! They are deserving of their failure and struggle!

Disney Plus and Hulu as the only services to be allowed Disney content is not financially viable! They need to go back to licensing content and IPS!

They really do so that the ideas are spread out rather than all housed under disney

Always appreciate your level headed breakdowns. Sad for the people who are losing their jobs and wish them the best.
Disney chose messaging vs storytelling - You said pretty much my thoughts...it was a family escape that turned into a family argument. Too comfortable and the wrong people in charge.
Hope they recover and get back to the core of their roots. Love Pixar films from the past.

Thank you! So happy you enjoyed the video and yes it's crazy how family friendly movies have now become controversial. It is the reason these movies are failing. Hopefully they turn a corner when they return the their roots and create sequels but you never know

Wow, such a disaster. Elitist hacks and studio executives just have no soul for their own doing.

It is never one thing, everything has a mass of connections and Hollywood is no different. Factors linked to this cut (again).
The Actors & Writers strike actually made everything more expensive in a time when budgets have spiralled out of control.
The attack on the audience and pushing of "The Message" has turned CONSUMERS away.
The substantial drop in quality products (shows, movies, games, comics basically all forms of entertainment) has shown the audience that it's now just completely mass produced slop with little creativity, passion or inspiration.
The pursuit of money (not profit, profit no longer a factor) to increase paypackets, bonuses and dividend payments which is achieved by increasing investment, loans and cheap money which are then used to buy back shares (increasing value) or payouts. More and more CEO's and stake holders are perfectly fine with destroying a business in order to maximise short term gains.
Cost, everything costs more now so employee costs aside the price of everything else has spiralled.
Inequality: The silent truth that no one wants to mention and pretend it doesn't have an impact. As the vast population have less and less disposable income the luxuries of entertainment are becoming less of a priority.

Disney chose to involve themselves in this culture war that Hollywood has been having with the general public for years now. They chose to put political agendas ahead of giving the audience fun animated movies to watch. They are 100% to blame for their failure. And as usual, and like clockwork, they choose to blame their workforce and cut it down by 14% instead of looking at the real culprits. The executives. They are the ones that made these terrible decisions but just like every corporation, they blame the work force. I won’t be surprised if these boot licking yes men and women give themselves a nice big bonus while at the same time showing the 14% who are laid off the front door. I feel bad for those individuals who are laid off, especially it not being their fault. A system where the people that make the terrible decisions get to keep their positions while the workforce who are under them are shown out the building. No wonder our society is going to hell in a hand basket. We are living in bizarro world. Good is bad and bad is good.

This is so true. In the process of letting go large percentages of the workforce the higher ups always reward themselves with bonuses or raises in pay. When in reality they should be the ones shown the door. But because they are at the top it's believed they are more valuable than the bottom combined
