- Hello Nu Yawkers! Today I am in Las Vegas on the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip to do a tour of the Sahara Hotel and Casino. This place was THE place to be in the 50s and early 60s! It closed for a short while then re-opened as the SLS Hotel and Casino. Just recently, it was re-branded back to it's old namesake the Sahara after several years of renovations and construction. I stayed there, when it was the SLS. There are a bit of changes, but a lot is the same. And while you're at the Casbar Lounge, you can rock it. 😆😆

That renovation at the Sahara was badly needed for years. what took them so long? excellent video.
The last time I stayed at the Sahara was about 1995, and what I remember most was a floor to ceiling slot machine in the lobby that I liked to pull the handle on, and the room I stayed in, the shower head was 'way down there,' LOL. I had to duck way down to wash my hair. Maybe the rooms have been renovated as well.

I just rewatched your video on Jersey Jeff Eats re: Chickie and Pete's, as I'm a crab cake sandwich person, I guess you'd say. I like to know where to get good crab cake sandwiches, and way off topic, I really hate when you go to a restaurant's bar and instead of say, $6.00 for a beer, they charge tax on it, even if we're not eating anything, like, say, the cost comes to $6.54. Nothing gets me moving away from that bar than being charged tax, although maybe that's the legal way of doing things.
I ate at the one in AC and I didn't like the food. I wanted King Crab and they didn't have it but they advertised it smh. I've NEVER been to the Sahara but it looks beautiful 😍
