@ you are right! Buy the shotgun and leave the classic as a classic. It is depressing to see some people including some renowned journalists saying “it is missing digital speedometer, alloy wheels, low power output etc”, they are totally missing the essence of this motorcycle.
RE has everything covered now with the BEAR 650, the CLASSIC 650 and now even the electric FLEA. What a great company for the RETRO consumer market. If count can't find it here, you must be blind.

This one does have the perfect classic looking center aligned integrated speedometer as it should be. I hate the left aligned spedos found on the shotgun and the Super Meteor. For me thats a deal breaker. Anyways, Thank you so much for the preview.

I dont understand the weight. The classic 500 was pretty light compared. All that was needed was to drop the 650 in that setup. The tech is fine. It doesnt need anything more. It should have the sprung solo seat for added comfort. The pricing keeps the interceptor a much better deal.

No, that wouldn't be right because part of the classic's design is the clean headlight unit with integrated speedo, whereas the other 650s have the speedo as a separate unit. If they would've made it like the latter, it would've caused a big commotion amongst the die hard classic fans.

The Interceptor & Continental bikes also have big fat , ugly , heavy silencers ...( 6 kg each )...Even JAWA bikes is good when it comes to aesthetics ..... PS I also own a RE bike for 10+ yrs

The word "classic" in relation to motorcycles, cars etc. is generally used to describe a vehicle of some age (not new) with a valued history i.e. not junk. The current use of the cheap looking retro Royal Enfield tank badges being stuck on the plethora of "motorcycles" oozing out of the Indian sub-continent hardly makes these bikes being "classic". Indian produced RE of any variety will never be regarded as a true Classic's. The only RE bike truly deserving of Classic status is the 700cc Constellation, none of the current RE badged jiggly built piles of cachu resemble anything that will ever become a Classic with a big "C".........P.S. My very first bike (purchased in 1964) was a 1960/61 250cc Royal Enfield Crusader Sports, a sort of "mini" Constellation hence my reverance towards the RE of days gone by and total distain towards the cheap crap produced under that name today.

ugly colors except black/chrome...where's the chrome and red that we're missing from the latest Classic 350 lineup? plus someone has to immediately change those stiff rear shocks to the Classic 350 shocks ... also what kind of kerb weight is that? i was waiting for a classic retro for my pillion/city use, but the BSA looks like a much better proposition...much lighter and faster...
