Camping and exploring Mendocino National Forest, CA.
We returned to the same place a year after we were trapped in the forest in spiring of 2019. First video is here:
• Toyota 4Runner SR5 5ge...
No show this time in 2020 - no surprise this year is weird.
Check out these guys on instagram:
Toyota Tundra : / geek.rig
Lexus GX460: / gxoverland
Great, thanks for this video!
Man machine and nature it don't get no better than that
Nice, I wish the video was longer. It's obvious that the 4runner has better approach and departure angle than the other 2 trucks.
Yeah. I always plan to shoot more material every time we go camping but always forget. Working on it. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Beautiful video. Always love a good peaceful wheeling video. Glad this came up on my recommendations. Hope you get a huge influx of subscribers! I'll be watching!
I appreciate your feedback! Thank you.
Nice vid! What lift do you have on the 4runner?
2” lift front and back.
Came to watch the 4runner - left wanting the Tundra, lol (all vehicles awesome)
Lol tundra is the beast 💪🏻so much more space!
GX for me 😂
Fun stuff !!! Love it.
1:47 that was a crazy part, thank you for sharing, new subscriber here :)
Haha thanks man! I was impressed how Lexus redirects the water and keeps the windshield clean.
Awesome! Which USFS road is that?
Very cool indeed. looking to get a rtt for my runner…. betwixed and between on many.
Thanks! I don’t think I’ll ever camp again without rtt. It’s adds so much more comfort to camping.
What tire size? your 4Runner looks good
Thanks! 285/70/17
With the Gobi and the iKamper installed, are you able to open the back hatch all the way without hitting? I'm looking at the same set up Gobi with IKamper and wanted to be sure it would all fit and work well. Thanks and Sweet Rig!
Thanks man! In my case, Gobi ladder touches the base of iKamper. I think I may need to push the tent a bit further but not sure if this will solve the situation. I also have aftermarket lift gate supports to hold a heavier hatch door and these gas supports open the hatch more than oem ones. I honestly just know about this problem and open the hatch carefully, also some sort of rubber on the contact area will solve it. I have no damage so far. I think Prinsu makes a nice roof rack that is lower than Gobi and you can place the tent closer the the front of the vehicle, also maybe research a bit about different ladders.
Nice! Havent been there since last year huntin season, theres that much water? I need to go soon hopefully the fire didnt ruin the trails
There was some water but not as much as last year. If you check the bother video on my channel where I stuck in the snow in Mendocino - it was the same time but in 2019. 2020 is definitely strange.
I want to go next time
Looks like a nice outing.
Yeah it was. I need to shoot more video next time
What trail is this?
In a week or two, my wife and I will be buying a 4dunner. I have been torn between the TRD Offroad or the SR5. Son in law has a built jeep. So I do t be rock crawling in the runner. But I like the locker of the TRDOR. But not sure I will need it. From the looks of it, I should have some cash and just get the SR5 and up grade the tires
That was exactly my struggle but on top of that I needed a 3rd row for kids. That was much easier to decide since it’s available in SR5 only. If you don’t need a 7 seater - than TRD Off-road is a good choice. Locker is a great option. Honestly, I never needed a locker during the last 3 years on many family trips.
Are you planning to pull a trailer? Locker would be helpful on those trips.
@@4Runner4Life we will probably end up with a very small trailer. We are leaning towards the Offroad. Thanks for the feedback.
where is here
How long ago do you guys film this
It was in late spring this year.
Was this before the fire.
