    Camping and exploring the forest is a nice way to spend the weekend.
    I managed to damage my Waterport camping shower and almost lost my front license plate in the deep puddle...it was fun and totally worth it though.

    I can't imagine how many times your camera man/woman got out, walked ahead, and set up to film you. Awesome co-pilot - I need to convince my wife to do that for me lol.

    Great scenery. And you have a patient co-pilot taking all those videos! But I’m guessing you found a new spot for that water port? That just kills your departure angle. And it’s begging to get ripped off. Thx for sharing and keeping it simple.

      Thanks! I eventually stopped using waterport. Wanted to relocate it to a different spot but it seems like too much hustle with mounting, hoses, locks, pumps. I went simpler rout and bough a 7gal water tank from Walmart.

    Lifted? I'm debating between a RAV4 TRD Off-Road (please don't snicker) and a 4runner SR5 Premium for my next daily driver, so I'm wondering how well the latter will do with stock height and stock suspension.
    I'm just nervous about modifying outside of wheels and tires due to fear of fucking something up.

    Awesome looking rig I like the wheel/tire combo. Are those FN Wheels you got on by the way?
    4 runners are the rock solid and best trucks out there a reasonable amount of money can buy.

      Yeah I agree they are solid. I wish they still made V8 version of it. Wheels are SCS F5 bronze 17” -10mm offset. Tires are Falken Wildpeak MT 285/70/17

    Just stumbled on your videos. I’m considering the same wheels and tires for my lifted 4Runner and I noticed you still have your front mudflaps. I’m assuming those are -10 F5s and 285/s? Did you do a BMC? Does that wheel tire combo clear lock to lock and under flex? Also, how do you like those MTs on wet city driving? Great footage BTW.

    • @4Runner4Life
      @4Runner4Life  4 месяца назад +1

      Hey! 285s on F5s -10 required only some plastic trimming. I used a heat gun to push the plastic around. Also used a pocket knife to trim the edge of the bumper at full lock. No BMC. Lock to lock under flex - no rubbing.
      Those MTs were great while new. Definitely loud and will get louder as they get older. They survived all the beating in the mountains, desert and handled coast to coast trip just fine. I sold them eventually after about 40k miles. I couldn’t balance the tires and that caused annoying vibration at 65mph.
      Thanks for watching!

      My SR5 doesn’t have lockers. Atrac system only. It sort of simulated lockers via ABS electronically.
