New to tying. How do you manage to keep your thread flat or uncorded? Are you twisting your bobbin after you wrap or is there a special technique or bobbin that can help with that?
Nice tip on squaring up the mallard tips. Wood Duck and Mallard can be a real pain in the ass at times.
One of those flies you should always have with you . Thanks for the video
Great fly. I like using them as a dropper off of a dry fly.

Absolutely, agree with you, some amazing tiers on RUclips
I've successfully evened duck flank feathers in a hair stacked too. I hope that helps.
Beautiful emerger thanks Charlie.
Very nice fly!
Awesome!
Simple but brilliant!
Another simple, but deadly pattern!
Nice tie Charlie. -Joey Busse
Another excellent tutorial -- thanks Charlie. What [color] dubbing would you use if you were tying a wine colored version?

I tie left handed so as I wrap, I unwind the factory twist in the thread. Right handlers will need to spin their bobbin to control the twist.
Awesome thanks for the reply!
Just curious but why are you wrapping your thread toward yourself instead of away from you?
old but Charlie ties Left handed so it only looks backwards
I have caught a ton of fish on this fly
