  • Unfortunately Kawasaki krx 1000 has a known fan failure and we were unlucky enough to have one fail. this install video shows the easiest way to put one of the upgraded BRUTE PERFORMANCE SPAL IP68 fans into a krx1000. hopefully this video saves you some time learning from my mistakes and bypassing some of the instructions that make things harder than they need to be. after completing my first 100 km ride when posting this video I can tell you its a nice alternative to the stock fan and moves air slightly better than stock while being of sturdier design.
Enjoy and comment if you have any questions!

Nicely done, and good catch on replacing the fan before it pooped its pants at an inopportune moment.

Sometimes we get lucky. Glad to have piece of mind with the upgraded unit.

Weird place for your reservoir cause its open like that, just my opinion but that should be up higher and not in the wheel well.Probably be a good idea to research if your pump impeller is plastic aswell, upgrade might be in future for that, which is good news cause you can upgrade to a BOYESEN WATER PUMP KIT,which also comes with a metal impeller 😊

Hey great video btw, I’m fairly new to all this. Which fan would you recommend? The high performance or the economy one. I really just do trail riding, muddy trails when wet nothing too crazy. It’s like a 70$ price difference. Thanks

In all honesty id want to know what the 70 bucks gets you. If it's only more speed than it's probably not worth it. If it's more fan blades or better magnets I'd spend the money

I don't see too much water nor mud but I'll be keeping my eyeballs on my fan.

Id say first timer can have it done inside 2.5 hours. After the first im comfortable doing it in an hour.
