yes it was filmed in Johnstown..I was in the stands with my family as extras when they played the championship game..i was only abo/ 9yrs old then..But from what i remember it sure was an exciting time for this town.
Fan fact. Tom Cruise is here acting Stefan Djordjevic, member of first generation serbian immigrant family. As many serbs Stefan was handsome but of lower class newcomer and outsider in USA. In order to succeed he had to make ALL THE RIGHT MOVES. Underrated movie.
