Hello. I actually wanted to know about taking AP classes and all the exams like SAT, IELTS and TOEFL and where to start. Basically the entire process from writing SAT to taking AP classes and where AP classes are available because my school doesn't offer those classes. My parents don't have much knowledge about applying to ivy leagues so I would appreciate it 😇

I have been watching your videos and it motivates me to study in USA. But as an eager "Afghan" who really wants to study in USA, I really don't know where to start from. I mean, if I apply to a university and it needs some paper like this and that; and specially in our country, Afghanistan, to pass exams like SAT/ACT or have paper like what your parents do or what they don't , it is kind of hard to get them. What I want you is, should I accept this excuse or just go on it?!
Really don't know what to do.
it's not that difficult of a process if you get a hang of it:
for undergrad- it's filling out the common app for colleges and submitting any other eligible documents like LOR, School Grades, SAT/ACT results,etc
for grad- you do the same thing but you do it via college's own website
Every single step of the process is online and it fully do-able from your laptop.
The biggest step in this whole process is explaining this process to your parents!
I'm from Pakistan have good academic record 97% in 10 grade and in 11 I've 92% score currently in second year and will be free from college. Wanted to apply for international universities on scholarship basis can you tell where may apply without SAT on basis of academic record on scholarship in health sciences or biological sciences related field since I want to complete health sciences and then apply for medicine etc in USA

There isn’t a big difference- two different companies offering similar tests that are accepted by colleges in the US. Take practice tests for both, see which one you resonate with more and study for that. Good luck!
Hey didi! I gave the SAT last year in August and I got a 1530 score. Is it good enough for getting into top tier universities with financial aid/scholarships? I'm currently in class 12 and I will be applying this year so wish me luck! Also you're videos are super helpful so thank you so much !!
1530 is a really good score. Of course if you can give a couple of practice and score better, maybe try one more time

spring has less options for good colleges, less chances of higher scholarships, less selection of good courses, etc. Early Applicants have a deadline of Nov. 31st and Regular have deadline of Jan. 1
In 🇦🇫 we do not have any SAT test center 😢, I do not know what to do!
Email the colleges you wanna apply to and tell them your problem, I'm sure they'll understand and give you an other way or waive it for you!
Do I need to do TOEFL during my high school? I am so confused because the acceptance or rejection result comes during 12th grade. I am about to complete my 11th in about 2 months.
You need to give your TOEFL either in start of 12th or by at least October this year if you are applying for Fall 2025

It totally depends on which college you want. If you don’t have any extra curriculars, Ivy League unis are highly unlikely.

I have to apply for mit as a transfer student so can I apply for spring entry because my second term exam has not conducted so when the result will come then I'll apply but in mit website it is written that for international students have to apply for fall entry is it necessary ?
Since the website says international students are ineligible for spring, then you cannot apply early.

@@divyaupadhyay4868you apply next year around Oct 2025 for the fall 2026 transfer (you can also apply this Oct 2024 for the fall 2025 transfer even though you are just starting undergrad)
Hey medusa , I have a question. You must have heard of abet accreditation for computer science. I have already got offer letter from some universities. Some of them are abet accredited while a few are not. But, considering the location of some universities, I want to take admission into one which is not abet accredited for major in computer science but has a national ranking between 200 and 250. So, tell me if taking admission into not abet accredited university for major in computer science will have a negative impact or not? Further, If i want to transfer university in future, will it matter that I have done 1 year in non- abet accredited university or not?will my credits transfer or not?

I had a question :
I didn't do well in my 10 and 11th grade finals, but i did well in my 12th grade and got 1560 in SAT
So academically am i doing really bad? In terms of getting execpted into the top universities?
you are doing fine, 1560 is more than enough!
I've scored 96% in class 12th
but class 11th is horribly less %
and SAT score 1500
and IELTS 8.0 bands
extracurriculars:-
worked in a few NGOs
had given some olympiads but was not able to qualify for the exam.
For which year you want admission 2024 OR 2025
You have a good profile, SAT marks are also good if you are applying for fall 2024 you are too late, still I think you can apply to some universities which still have their deadlines. If you are taking a gap year, remember to do something in your gap year that really is worth it. You can do research projects, try publishing papers.

@@anjalijaiswal2825 no u can't attend the college if ur not stem designated u should pursue degree in stem courses u can't pursue business courses u should have top notch extracurriculars extraordinary grades standardized test essays letter of recommendations school transcripts common app and if you apply for scholarship they might end up rejecting your profile!!
I gave my 12th in 2023 and I took a drop ,preparing for jee but as my marks are not up to the expectations I am thinking that I should apply for Harvard MIT for Stanford college for ug... you really don't have to rely on your school for extracurriculars! many students have been doing things outside of school for years before they commit to it as an activtiy for a college application

you don't need to focus too much on your stream of commerce, you can literally do an activity in anything. Make a business plan for any of your nearby corner shops, make a digital planner for a business owned by a woman, help corner shops with a digital platform and marketing, do a a survey, open a club, start an insta. for a non-profit to support women in STEM, etc

@@CrazyMedusa Grade 8 GPA affects admissions to top universities. I got a 3.62 GPA in grade 8 and my 9 to 12 GPA is 3.95.

They can definitely change for better especially how currently all colleges are getting rid of test optional. In the end, there’s more to the profile then just the score like activities and his/her essays

All grades are submitted from 9-12. They are not averaged for a single gpa and considered individually

Hello mam, i am in 12th right now. I am aiming for fall 2025 intake, according to you how should i prepare for sat exam. Should i prepare it from khan academy and then from princeton sat book or i should directly start preparing from princeton sat book?
SAT has gone digital so it's better to use Khan academy. Princeton sat book doesn't make sense as it prepares you for paper based SAT. Try joining online platforms and do take mocks as many as possible. Btw, I'm an incoming freshman at Stanford.

yes a 120 and above score for undergraduate, for graduate programs Duolingo is not accepted. Also this information was easily available by doing a google search 'Duolingo Cornell Accepted'
