So useful, I've had the Canon ESO 77D for over a year now and been using it without knowing about these features. I'm kicking myself that I didn't watch this video sooner!
When always I look up for videotips, people say "disable highlight tone priority", but I still don't understand why. It saves the highlights, like extending the dynamic range. So whats wrong with it? Videofiles aren't RAW, so lost details are lost.
Hi. I have 77d. When in video mode (Av), I press the AE lock * button... but it only locks exposure for 4 seconds. There is no red light blinking like in your video, either. I thought 77d Ae could be locked and held?

Hi Daniel! Since the viewfinder is optical, not an electronic viewfinder, it is not possible to see through it while recording video because the mirror is up. We hope this answers your question!

Hi Clive! It is not possible to manually adjust the color temperature on the EOS 77D. Only the presets are available. However, it does allow you to perform a Custom White Balance. We hope this helps!

You can use the RC-6 to start movie recording with the following settings. 1) Set the [Remote control] menu setting to [Enable]. 2} Next on the back of the RC-6, set the slider switch to position. Hi, Serg! When you use an HDMI cable to show a live picture of what the camera is seeing, you'll be shown exactly what you would have seen on the LCD screen. This includes all the icons, menus, messages, and information that you would normally see on the camera's own screen. We hope this helps!

Hi! If you're recording movies in Av mode, you can change the aperture by turning the main dial which is right behind the shutter button. If you don't see the aperture displayed on your screen, tap the INFO button to change what information shows up on the screen. We hope this helps!

hello i like canon cameras alot i get many canon cameras but... i bay 2 canon cameras last 2 weeks canon d750 and canon d77 brand new the canon d77 is expensive more 750 and she get 45 autofoucas point and duall fucas system the thing is surprised me the canon d77 is not take a sharp photo !!! relly the canon d750 photo sharpness is over d77 by 50% also i get canon d110 its sharpness over d77 what the problem???!! note: all my cameras orginal japan made can u tale me what the problem pls when i take photo and i zoom it it become not sharp i try the the modes

Hi! Choosing your video exposure settings on the EOS 77D works that same way as your exposure settings for still photos. Bright and sunny conditions will call for a low ISO combined with either a fast shutter speed or a lower aperture so that your images don't come out exceedingly bright. Hi! Recording cannot be paused, only started and stopped. When recording stops, the camera records that as a clip. When recording starts again, a new clip begins. We hope this answers your question!
