I wish y’all would’ve talked about the 2004 NBA finals a lot more.
Great episode
I like how these two guys could joke with each other that's what it's all about and rest in peace to George Floyd man!
shea white R.I.P George Floyd and R.I.P Ahmaud Arbery the kid was jogging and gets killed by two scumbags. That R.I.P list is long and it needs to stop!
Nothing like any other city when you bring a championship to Detroit respect for a 100 years All the smoke 💨 is legendary
Richard Hamilton coming out with the best stories lol
He need to share those tapes though lol
This might've been one of the most entertaining All the Smoke actually. It's a shame ESPN neutered Rip's personality in his media appearances with them
Awesome show!! Keep doing it Bros!!
He was the best free agent in Chicago
Feel like Matt and stak weren’t giving him enough credit and reaction to these stories.
I knew stak was gone go crazy when rip said he had MVP of the all american game😂😂😂
Vindication lol
Everybody that's been on here swears stak won it, and when he says he didn't they go crazy. It would b hilarious to get shareem on here. Omg, stak would b talking so much shit!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Derrick Hayes Man that would definitely be a classic interview if they had him on the show 😂😂😂
When Kobe and Rip validate you....FUCK A TROPHY!
@@derrickhayes4849 OMG.They gotta go find Shaheen just to hear Stack go wild!
I love the Kobe stories from folks like Rip who’ve known him since day one..
Straight up. Fills the soul.
I stg bro
Brandon Webb real talk man
QuelakaLilNino big facts man
I really appreciate them
All The Smoke has become ESPN’s reliable source.
Freaking true.
They better watch out, FS1 too!? These dudes are not only going to get all the interviews, but that REAL content those other sports platforms can’t seem to get? Best show out right now, no doubt
Shiit, they're blowing espn and fs1 out the water by themselves and with The Knuckleheads Podcast & BonziSheedGetTechnical
Used to be anyway
Stephen Jackson is as real as they come. I feel safer knowing Stephen is out here giving a voice to those that matter
RIP held it down for Detroit, him Chauncey, Sheed, Big Ben and Tayshaun Prince were the Detroit bad boys 2.0
Ball Don't Lie!!!....✌
Yuu SEE!!! Can't forget the PITBULLS Lindsey Hunter and Mike James
@@detroitdreams7461 big dawg Corliss Williamson too
DvE 4 Life!!!!!!!!
04” Pistons was one of the greatest teams ever we was holdin teams under 70 points a game
Get D Rose!! Hearing Rip talk about how talented and humble he was is bitter sweet still one of my favorite teams of all time!
DROSE DON'T TALK LOL
We need DROSE!!! ..... if I know anything about this pod Matt and Stack get these guys to open up like nobody else 💯
Mines too ‘04 shit
Drose would be a terrible interview lol
D Rose on All The Smoke would be legendary
Had no clue Rip was this enthusiastic😂
U heard what he said he been dealing with his kids and he been trying to get in the show he couldn't wait to talk 😂
You don’t hear his name enough when talking about the midrange game.
Shooters period
Rip was a lowkey ass busser
Huh? Everyone always talks about his mid range
Must not be talking to the right people then. Real ones know
Lethal weapon. He was the ray allen of the pullup
One of the most in shape conditioned players of All-Time, he would run around all game, didn’t seem to lose energy, like he was playing with FATIGUE off! 😂🤣🏀
Exactly.. Even if his shot was off (rare), the opposing defender got SO tired.
Steph Curry ?? 🤔
Memphis Newz Steph is in that conversation...that’s why I said “One of the Most”...I didn’t say “The Most”
like Klay
He learned that from Reggie! Reggie never stopped moving
PRAYERS UP FOR GEORGE FLOYD AND HIS FAMILY! Hope Stax is doing well too heard they were close 🙏🙏🙏
A damn shame what they did to that man.
I just saw the story on it and im here to comment the same thing. Prayers to the Family and Friends. Hope Stack finding a way through this tough time to keep his mind right. Everyone stay safe out there.
Damn. Didn’t know him and Stax were close, how ?
What?? Stax knew Floyd?? Holy cow what a shame and disgrace that man died. Horrible. Prayers for Peace.🙏🏼🕊
Moy The Goat They were close friends grew up together and called eachother twin
Richard Hamilton and Chauncey Billups should be hall of famers.
Should be. But they most likely won't be
Man the whole team should go in as a team
Agreed the should have won more titles one of my favorite teams assembled
Chauncey definitely will be
Lowkey disappointed Rip didn't do this interview with his mask on lol
Dope memory
Highly upset rip didn't do the mask😷😷🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😅🤣😂
💀💀💀
i was thinking about the normal masks at first then it hit me lol
Rip is a good interviewee. A lot of dudes ain't
The younger players aren't too great but older players been through the ringer so they're comfortable
Yeah Derek rose isn't.
this was the easiest episode to go thru, Rip energy was correc
Rip is under appreciated. Man was 2 way, tireless, great with off ball movement and slashing. so much fun to watch.
Detroit was a scary team man crazy how overlooked they are.
Not by people that know..
Imagine if they drafted Melo. They would be all time great. Probably win 3 chips
@@gshivs793 AGREED I THINK WE WOULD BE LOOKING AT MELO IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LIGHT
They messed up getting Flippy Skippy.

Im so HYPED, this man had off ball movement out of this world and a pullup jumper like nobody's business
Average Mo old school curry right there. Where u think he got it from lol. Everyone said they hated chasing RIP off screens
@ Suck Mehoff
They all got it from Reggie Miller.
@Average Mo perpetual motion. But only the effective kind. Moving with purpose. It was a sight to behold. Srry, great memories

Nobody moved without the ball like Rip…..still the best! That pistons team still brings a smile to my face.

Same. I'm cooling on Netflix right now. But this podcast and the Bill Simmons is 🔥🔥🔥
Ai was on knuckle heads
Hated Detroit during that A.I era! But they were the truth.
💯
RIP from Coatesville 30 mins from 69 Street Station in Philadelphia.
How could you not like Richard Hamilton. I hated the Pistons but I loved Rip!
“Yo people don’t remember that dude was cold”
“Aye you gotta come in the studio and we can chalk it up and get deeper”

That brawl talk deserves a documentary.. do it right and get all your bread like the Jordan doc and ESPN did... PEOPLE WILL PAY TO SEE YALL TALK ABOUT THAT TOGETHER
I love how the admiration of each and every guy shows & express for Kobe Bryant is on a whole other level....
respect to RIP, they killed my Lakers in 04, good wake up call, kobe needed that loss to become what he became. RIP kob
All time great underrated back Court Richard & Chauncey. They could score and defend like Dawgs! They held teams in the 60s it was crazy seeing that.
They couldn't do shit with Bron.
@@HTxGhost24 that was only because Joe D was being cheap and didn't resign Ben Wallace

Billups, RIP, Melo, Sheed, & Wallace.... God had mercy on my Lakers! Lol
Bro as i listen to what he said and thought about it melo career wise would've had a better career all if joe dumars picks him over darko
That pistons team was legit, and with all those great players Rip Hamilton, etc... they also had a HALL OF FAME COACH, Larry Brown.
This was one of my favorite episodes. Rip was great!

Fr Rip not only is a top class player but he looks like a real dude who's fun to hang out with and also he's a great story teller. Salute to the masked one
Rip Hamilton one of the players on his squad that ended the shaq and kobe era in LA
Looks so different without the mask lol. He was relentless, moving without the basketball. I think ray allen said they called him rip because he'd dig fingers into your arms tryin to get separation lol. Guy was legit
I miss the 04 pistons shit was live at the palace salute Rip Hamilton.... Matt and Stephen yall gotta get Chauncey,Ben Wallace, and Rasheed Wallace on here 💪🏾💯
Man I think they were the best defensive unit ever assembled coming from a lakers fan man we had no chance that D was crazy
Bro that squad was epic, from the 586 lol

@@JimBowSlice no doubt about it
That parade on jefferson was jumpin good times
Matt and stack almost like they are calling a game. One does play by play the other is color commentary. Perfect chemistry they both stay in their own lane with a clear list of questions/topics and let the guest talk.
I'm dying at how Matt and Stack was reminiscing about how it was like playing against those Pistons teams 😂😂
Man had one of the best Mid Range games and he was so much problems moving without the basketball. Defenders had a fit chasing him around screens.
Former NBA from Europe Saša Pavlović was once asked by local media, who was toughest player to guard? "Rip Hamilton! He always had 3 screens set for him, one by Big Ben one by Sheed, and they were both using elbows."
Imagine the pain
Kenny Lafortune lol bro it’s insane. Rip was problems
nbr_dbr_brt Lol bro he said he use to get annoyed by chasing reggie Miller around. So over the years he picked up things from him and made it valuable.
that’s why i liked watching detroit play Indiana back then. him and reggie used to run cross country lol
@@illuminatigbeats1397 lol man you not lying those positions and Pacers matchups was fire they met in playoffs 2004 and 2005. Rip said he took a lot of things from reggie.
I was young but remember admiring Rips Jumper, that shit was clean. Then his FT routine was 🔥🔥🔥
I know we use "underappreciated" and "underrated" almost too much nowadays, but RIP and his midrange game definitely fits the the definition.
Rip was that nigga
no rim from the baseline
That Pistons run was so underrated.
They made the ECF for 5 years..
This is legit my favorite podcast now 💯
Same here. This 1 of my favorite episodes from them
I wasn't even thinking of Rip but this gone be 🔥
Rip was a great player that dont get mentioned enough
People Who Need To Be On All The Smoke:
Rasheed Wallace
Anthony Davis
Doc Rivers
Metta World Peace or Ron Artest
Ice Cube
Kyrie Irving
Ray Allen
Carmelo Anthony
Damian Lillard
Stack don’t like ray allen
Don’t forget Allen Iverson
Kyrie would be a good one
Shaq
Dirk!
This is another one of those perfect guest on the show. Rip shared some gems! It’s always incredible to hear stories about Kobe. His presence in the world is missed and its especially heartbreaking knowing that he wont be able to bless us with an all time best speech ever at the upcoming Hall of Fame. Rip needs to be back on the show for more storytelling gems! This is why All the Smoke reigns supreme over all the sports shows! ✊🏾
"Hot cheetos and blunts" lol
Fun shit you could handle before getting old . Hot Cheetos and a bleezy now will kill you from heartburn 😂
I used to hoop with alot of guys like that haha
i had a rip hamilton jersey back in the day. super underrated. ran around screens popping 3sn all day
poppin mid range shots more like it. he was like ray allen but closer to the hoop
@@armin38822 Ray Allen mid range edition
RIP playing style was very similar to Klay. Only difference is that Klay shoots from 3 and RIP shot it from high mid range
Rip's game was most similar to Reggie.
Yeah, playing off the ball. Cut and curl......Very Regiie Miller 👍
RIP like Ray Allen and Reggie yeah
he was a u conn guy. all they SG’s played off pin downs curls and pucks. so ray allen and ben gordon was cut from that cloth too.
Rip not only is a top class player but he looks like a real dude who's fun to hang out with and also he's a great story teller. Salute to the masked one.
This was my favorite player growing up. Leading scorer for a championship team, so underrated!
That midrange was straight butter
RIP is a Top 15-20 player at his position hands down
Rip definitely deserves consideration for the HOF. He won a championship in UConn as the main star, then won the NBA championship with the Pistons as the starting 2 guard. Very good defender and great mid range shooter. Plus, he was a consistent scorer, averaged 17 ppg for his career. Solid numbers.
Stack, my condolences man. It is IMPERATIVE that we politicize our interests and get them enacted. Our safety as a people is at stake
lol y'all kill each other more than anyone else
Haha Dicks actually the majority race kill each other more than any other race does! Be blessed fam
Stack was in there FIRING UP 😂😭 🐐🐐
Man… this guys mid-range was elite, dude was on a different level. Pistons legend “RIP”
Very under rated midrange game!
He said Austin Chroshere! These guys have photographic memory for every player they played against or with down to series and date.
defenders burned calories on calories trying to chase Rip around the baseline and screens lmao
Lol that's a fact
Lol easily the most annoying style to guard.
U aint never lied.
Lakers Fan Since July 1st 2018 that’s my style I constantly run
Damn right, cardio was great
Love the respect from player to player...understanding the game and talent and talking shit at the same time, as they should. Love the old game heads
The banter is great. The NBA is a special fraternity.
Rip Hamilton French braid MVP in the early 2000s
Arguably the GREATEST mid range player of all time as a die hard Bulls fan he used to give us fits hate that he came to us late Hall Of Famer in my opinion 💪💯

This damn podcast drops consistent hits. Rip became my boy once he burned Duke in the tourney
Yup I started fucking wit UCONN wit Ray Allen and Donyell Marshall
On of my favorite games was UConn vs Ohio State Rip vs Michael Redd and Scoonie penn

The OG RIP! Mid-range monster!
I'm from Downingtown but I'm literally in Coatesville right now. Salute, Rip!
Rip Hamilton and Chauncey Billups might be the most underrated backcourt ever. Like bro they are a top 10 backourt all time. Made 6 straight eastern Conference finals together, played in 2 NBA finals together,1 NBA Championship.3 Allstar games together. Was all NBA, While playing in over 100 playoff games together. They are easily one of the best backcourt ever. They don’t get talked about enough. A very successful duo,who would raise their level of play come playoff time.
that whole 04 Pistons team was great
Facts but lets not forget they had most underrated great coach in Larry Brown.
Yea, my era Coatesville stand up! 90's PA HS basketball right here/near Philly put out some straight ballers. Jameer Nelson, Rasheed Wallace, Dejuan Blair, Dajuan Wagner(right over bridge) Maurice Rice, Eddie Griffin & Kobe (RIP EG nicest dude ever & averaged a QUADRUPLE DOUBLE barely trying in the competitive sonny hill league here in Philly I played in), Kyle Lowry (Early 00's) etc.
Im from Louisville Kentucky and have heard or seen all these guys play high school ball and all these guys was very great or very good so yes yall got good roots
Love Rip.
Being a pistons fan since 99, this was my favorite episode. In 2004 me and my friends were outside the hotel the lakers were sleepin at and making hella noise. 2004 pistons fans were the craziest. The Palace was live af. Even on away games in the playoffs we packed the palace, watching on the big screen!
Didn't know RIP n Kobe had history like this.🙌🏾🙌🏾 thx for bringing Motown great memories.
stack and matt we need gerald wallace, and monta ellis
Gerald Wallace would be great
Jerry Stackhouse would be a good won
Nick Van Exel
Rasheed Wallace is definitely needed on All The Smoke
They should ask Gerald why he dove on Gilbert’s knee.
if Rip and MJ never got hurt they make the playoffs. the Wizards were a 19 win team before MJ got there. MJ was getting better every game! than he hurt his knee and Rip pulled a groin. And that was that. You would have seen MJ vs A.I in the playoffs and if by some miracle they made it to the finals people. You would have seen Kobe vs MJ in the Finals. But injuries...
it was painful to watCH mj COME Back, he was NOTHING like plAYER was before AND RUINED HIS LEGACY A LITTLE JUST LIKE film that came out
I love this podcast. Listening to the guys from a players perspective is so refreshing. Not some journalists that never played a day in their lives
Mannnnn everytime I hear about the Pistons passing on Melo I get mad af!!! Smh
You think he and Larry Brown wouldve gotten along?
Kenneth Hill no question! Larry brown had a lot of respect in the league. Just imagine Melo off the bench, he would've been sixth man of the year EVERY YEAR lol
Really didn't get along with AI...Melo is kinda a cancer.
Stephen “that’s my guy” Jackson knows everybody lol
Can we get Carmelo Anthony in this ? He probably had some crazy stories.
Richard Hamilton is one of the best basketball players I have ever seen that played great off ball offense. He knew how to get open so fast. His midrange game and defense was legit on point also.
💯
