Its the only thing in the song of real difficultly. So how do we start to compare so many amazing guitar players over the past decades? We as an audience of a number of genres judge music. Roy Clark has been said to be the most amazing, greatest guitar player of the past decades. Then we have players in rock and heavy metal. Eddy Van Halen, who some have called the greatest player ever. Then we have player people have called a virtuoso, like Yngwie Malmsteen. These are some of the greatest guitar player to give us their gifts, and there are more! So how can we say this particular guitar player, “or the master of any other instrument” is the best in the world?
That is the chord progression is the same as the music from the cut scene in Mike Tyson’s punch out on NES where Mac is running behind Doc when you get your passcode. So there you go.
Ah yes the Flamenco style of guitar, excellent choice in my opinion ja true cousin to the Zambra style of guitar. Although I must confess I have heard some amazing developments in the legendary Fandango style of guitar which of course is due to its rich historical tapestry and body fluidity in an ever increasing quest for perfection. Good show sir!
This guy has a great sense of humor. Anyone notice he is huge 👀. Look at him compared to other guy when he walks back on stage! If you havent, check out Estas Tonne. He is amazing. He makes 1 guitar sound like 2 or 3.
The original video is what got me into playing guitar in the first place and coming from those early stages of learning his piece to now playing my own pieces and performing with big names on tour, I’d say it does deserve the popularity it’s gotten as an awesome sounding bit of music that almost anyone can play with a bit a practice to get into the musician world.
This guy is great and I definitely enjoyed the video (microphone issues included) but I am spoiled because twenty-some years ago I was blessed to have the repeated opportunity watch a guy named Stephan at the Dome Bar in El Paso play this and so many other flamenco pieces much more masterfully... and without audio issues.
I wouldn’t even say that. I’ve been playing Classical Guitar for 8-9 years now and had a go at learning it. Even though I can’t play as well as him, I can play it to a good level and it isn’t any where near as difficult as it sounds
@@SIXPACFISH very familiar with Jerry's ability. Guess that's why everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I've heard a lot of musicians, but I've never seen anyone handle stringed instruments like Roy. But that's just my opinion.
@@SIXPACFISH Jerry and Roy were big fans of each other. Each of them would probably say the other one is better. Actually Jerry always said he was more of a composer than a player. Utter nonsense, but that's what he said.
The right hand technique is very tiring indeed. You can hear his technical limitations, but he's in the video doing a great performance. The song is good, and he at the time probably didn't polish it that much, but likely is a lot better currently. I bet if we got a more recent vid it'd be at least five times better than this (already good performance).
Just a bit of FYI the style he's playing here is called flamenco (Spaniard gypsy)which is a mixed of Spanish, Portuguese and Moroccan cultures all rolled neatly into one. They use the guitar as a "drum" that's how they learn to play as the flamenco dancers use it as their rhythm along with castañuelas.
This isn't traditional Flamenco, it's sort of using a Rumba palo(one of the styles in Flamenco), but it isn't technically Flamenco. Also, the guitar follows the dancer/singer, not the other way around. And the castanets are not a Flamenco instrument, you're confusing it with classical Spanish dancing, which is not the same as Flamenco - which is a Spanish Gitano(gypsy) music, with no connection to Morocco or Moroccan music. People hear the Phrygian mode and become cinfused.
@@koushikvemuri3130 Don't confuse Spanish Gitanos with other Romani. Gitanos have been in Spain for centuries and have mixed in with Spanish genetics. Flamenco comes from Gitano folk culture, but is very much a part of Spanish culture now.

i bought the guitar when i was younger but i just cant do it. i could bend steel bars with my hands when i was a kid but they cant move fluidly to hold any rythm.
If you want to see a guitar being played at the highest level, look up "Tommy Emmanuel Classical Gas". Tommy is the GOAT, and it's his best song. It's so far beyond this song it's not even conveyable.
He is not the best but here are some notable points: 1. The first and foremost, he lived "The dream". I mean for a student or a teenager, " That's the dream". Impressing your friends, teachers, crush etc. and getting praise and affection from them. The confidence he has, the way he combs his hair in-between. It's the reason why this video is the best. 2. The piece that he played was really good and beautiful and it just attracts attention.
I have no clue bout guitars but i can tell that he needs to clear his arm from the guitar to play like that and if you dont do that you cant be as fast and freely throw your hand around, that combined with the positioning of the guitar something like more pointing to the sky then in the direction the musician is lookin makes him that fast. Why are you not adjusting your own playstyle when you try to copy that? Not saying you did a shait copy of him or sthg im just curious cause you seemed to instantly grasp the melody. Thx for the vid
Lets be clear: What the guy does is certainly impressive! But that is something else than "being the best Guitar player in the world". In Spain there are hundreds or thousands of talented kids who practice their socks of on getting really good at Flamenco and are certainly as good as he is, or better. But still props to this young man for an impressive performance...
Well once you have enough practice literally anyone can listen to a song and play it. You have to give the guy credit for creating this all on his own. Its the originality that counts.
It takes years of loneliness to get that kind of fluidity in your right hand. J/k this guy is just talented hands down

Nylon string acoustic designed for classical/flamenco style players. Can't see the brand though, sorry.
Hey, thanks a lot for the reply, I was thinking he had some steel string ones as the sound was so good. I guess I ha
Be no excuse now as mine is classical too😞😞😅
Being able to strum the notes AND get the little drum taps while he does it is impressive
Its the only thing in the song of real difficultly.
His strumming, minus the slaps, Rasgueado, is not that difficult to learn on nylon strings with fingers, but Andrew Friedberg had zero chance of replicating it on steel strings with a pick in his hand. Nylon string guitars have a different skill set.
@@williamhogge5549 getting the slaps in is easier than you'd think. Once you've got the strumming pattern down integrating finger slaps and/or wrist thumbs is fairly straight forward.
@@williamhogge5549 i did it on steel string
There is difference between interesting and difficult… this is very interesting music performed by Amin…
how is it interestinf
He is a portfolio manager now graduated from harvard and he performed 10 years later in other video as well
I love your relaxing aura, keep it up
what he said is showing how humble he is, and he is not lucky but very talented, even if it is his hobby.
it's all in the strumming pattern...guitare manouche...loads of guys can do this...not removing the credit to him in any way...but still not the best in the world in his style. but he has talent for sure
Yes its practice, can you perform on any instrument? or do you know any better than Mr Toofani? if yes then upload and let the world compare, or else keep your Rupee in your pocket, you indians make some outrageous statements with out evidence or source, most pretentious on the planet.
@@ravis.9937 not indian and I actually think this guy is exceptionally good. So why the hate???
@@ravis.9937 what he meant was people think he is the best guitarist, which actually isn't true there are a lotttttttttt of guitar players who can do that, now most guitarists believe Marcin patrazalek to be the best.
Look he wrote this piece himself. Definitely deserved love
@@ravis.9937 your comment stinks with ignorance
Guitarist I am no musician I cannot read music but I grew up with my mother playing Five Finger open flamingo! And that was the closest thing to a one-person band with only one instrument I've always found it extremely incredible! Thank you for the video
Your playing was just as good minus the guitar banging portions. Great job!
What's great about his performance is he did it way back at 2010 now so many young talented guitarist are everywhere.
I hate it when you tell someone you're a guitarist and they show you this video and expect you to be in awe of it.
Amin Toofani... His music made me take my music serious. Saw him first around 2014
What were you playing before you started talking? Man! I love it! That brings out some passion in me!
4:12 love watching you listen intently
This guy has a great sense of humor. Anyone notice he is huge 👀. Look at him compared to other guy when he walks back on stage!
If you havent, check out Estas Tonne. He is amazing. He makes 1 guitar sound like 2 or 3.
The backbone of all sounds like "Concierto de Aranjuez". Really cool!
Start of the piece is an homage to C de Aranjuez in a lower octave
I remember this video! It was on the original RUclips app on ipod touch! It never left the the front page of RUclips.
Dude's freaking good! Reminds me of Roy Clark's Maleguena in many ways.
I dont know how to play the guitar but I know a LEGEND when I hear one. This guys amazing!!!
Paco de Luci is an amazing master of the flamenco.
Paco de Lucia was one of the best Spanish flamenco 💃 guitar players. He’s a legend. Can you please react to his music ?
@@ksenijajemensek6126 but paco is not popolist he is not for ordinery people
Was a best flamenco guitar player. RIP
I LOVE that opening piece on the guitar. What is it and were can I learn it?
I think its Adagio - Concierto de Aranjuez from music compositor Rodrigo on the beggining
@@neojuanma I'm talking about this : @0:48
He is probably the best flamenco guitarist playing persian style but not the best that goes to jimi himself
I wouldn’t even say that. I’ve been playing Classical Guitar for 8-9 years now and had a go at learning it. Even though I can’t play as well as him, I can play it to a good level and it isn’t any where near as difficult as it sounds
page better than hendrix
Andrew the style of guitar playing that you played right before is my favorite, I can listen to it all day, what type/style is it
Definitely talented, but Roy Clark will forever and always be the world’s greatest guitar player (and just about everything else with strings)
So, you have never heard of Jerry Reed? You should give him a listen.
@@SIXPACFISH Junior Brown is good, too. Believe it or not, I think John 5 is the best chicken picker around, and maybe the best all-around guitarist.
Playing without a pick is more difficult. Paco de Lucia at best
Luca Stricagnoli is definitely a candidate for best guitarist in the world. Crazy skills.
Alexandre Misko is pretty friggin awesome too!
Monte Montgomery, Trace Bundy, Charo, Roy Clark... there are several..
Flemenco is said to be spanish now but Flemenco is associated to the Romani people and you know where Romani people come from right
@Koushik Vemuri there's a lot of Rmani influence all through Spain and several other Latin American countries including mine (Argentina) just saying
@@koushikvemuri3130 Don't confuse Spanish Gitanos with other Romani. Gitanos have been in Spain for centuries and have mixed in with Spanish genetics. Flamenco comes from Gitano folk culture, but is very much a part of Spanish culture now.
@@ericaarcas8161 it's mostly in the south of Spain, in places like Seville, Granada, and Cadiz, but generally all through the south.
Anyone know the name of this guitaar means specification like name of company and length.??😊😊
A business major and pro guitar player, yeah, great. And he managed to insert humor at the beginning and the end, the way he raises his head to sway his hair. Good for him and the world if he is honest.
I can do programming and art for a living, but i chose to be a Qualified Elementary Education teacher.
What is there to hate if someone is multi-talented???
My thought was the title of the video.
people were ready for this
it was very inspiring
He played So well , even The Video got corrupted

He's is the one and only 😲 😱 😲 😱 😲 it was amazing 👏
i bought the guitar when i was younger but i just cant do it. i could bend steel bars with my hands when i was a kid but they cant move fluidly to hold any rythm.
Just watched this.. heres my take... hes played that piece a hundred times. And you almost got it immediately. YOU are an amazing artist
That's because he can see the chords in the video.
...still just strumming 3 chords in a fun pattern while stretching for some single notes
This song is really inspiring, I want to play it one day once I get very good with my guitar and wish we could have a tutorial on how we can play it
If you want to see a guitar being played at the highest level, look up "Tommy Emmanuel Classical Gas". Tommy is the GOAT, and it's his best song. It's so far beyond this song it's not even conveyable.
Tommy is good, but no one will ever be better than Roy Clark.
@@j2th31 untrue. Roy Clark played 3 or 4 styles. Tommy can play dozens from classical to country, blues, bluegrass, heavy metal....
Description doesn't check out..
This is my first time in this channel and that 6:20 was amazing🔥 stopped mid video to type this
He is not the best but here are some notable points:
The guitar lick you was playing at the intro was flawless I wold love to see more please
Amin is playing in the classical position and is Trained to do it while the gentleman commenting on it is not
He worked at NASA and invented lygometry...
Really
Lets be clear: What the guy does is certainly impressive! But that is something else than "being the best Guitar player in the world". In Spain there are hundreds or thousands of talented kids who practice their socks of on getting really good at Flamenco and are certainly as good as he is, or better. But still props to this young man for an impressive performance...
Check out " the most evolved" by John Clark, same style, but John is much far better.
You are right I heard the most evolved by John long back ....and its almost the same....it was the first flamenco I got inspired
At 2:36 It looked like you was giving him the wanker sign 🤣🤣🤣
Yours was really good you just did it by just looking
The way brings comb to the play is just cherry on top
Kid:probably practices the song for his performance
Andrew attempts to play his song without practice:Well ok he's better than me
Well once you have enough practice literally anyone can listen to a song and play it. You have to give the guy credit for creating this all on his own. Its the originality that counts.
