@@hadzisaniii Memphis thinks they already won the title, reason why they'll get served some humble pie again. Winners let their game do the talking. Denver is good but they had a number of good teams over last decade or two and they always hit a wall come playoffs. They lack experience. Warriors had a rough start but it was mostly due to really bad bench. Big part lack of experience from Kuminga, Moody, Wiseman. Jamychal, Donte new guys trying figure stuff out. Since Lamb has become a big dependable piece. Think it took Donte a minute to figure out Ws system and he been absolute 2way stud of late. Looks like Kuminga figuring it out too. Add Poole. Also Draymond getting some 2nd unit minutes helped a ton too. From having no bench all the sudden Ws look good 9-10 players deep. Wiggs/Curry injuries gave them extra rest. Klay hasn't played a single back to back. If they stay healthy they'll roll into playoffs rested and peaking at the right time its hard to see them lose to anyone in 7 games. Warriors is like a school for undrafted/unnoticed players. It benefits other nba teams when they graduated (traded). What an awesome organization. 🏫 🎓 It's a win-win because they are creating value to the players they trade which they have acquired cheap. While helping the player building his career.
Biggest problem, turnovers I have faith that they cut them as they get deeper into the season and the playoffs (it always has been to if you look at the stats)
those turnovers cost them a few games along with the refs calling everything on GS. In one game they went to the foul line 10 times compared to the other team's 26 FT attempts.
Exactly 💯 well said! That's exactly what I been seeing from this Team slowly putting all the pieces together. Once they take off it's over for the NBA. Let's go DUBS!
The first clip, Steph did a jump stop and an extra step before taking the shot. That's a definite travel. But, it's Steph Curry and he gets away with it. That's the scary part.
Because they bring in so much money to the league, and Curry in particular. That's why the beginning of the video stating that the NBA doesn't want them to win is such a bad take. At the end of the day, it's about money. Curry's crazy plays get views, and bring in money. A little travel here and there for more legendary clips and attention, a fair deal in the NBA's opinion.
I believe in the Warriors, but I think the KD/Kyrie/Harden Nets proved, good offense indeed, does not beat good defense... GSW needs to step up on defense and stop the TO's
3 things: 1: Please don’t take 1 game and use it as a look at “how bad Celtics are.” Any team can get hot on any night. That’s kids stuff. 2: Celtics starting lineup now has Williams in at center and is 100%, unlike finals last season. And we all saw him dominate the warriors the other night in just 27 minutes. 3: this isn’t last season. Celtics are deeper and now experienced. This isn’t last season tatum and brown hitting their prime. Good luck though. Imo it’s going to take a Celtics injury for them to not win it this season. Which of course is always possible.
Out of the last 10 championships, 4 of them were the number 1 ranked defensive rating team (13' Miami, 14' Spurs, 15' GSW, 17' GSW), 9 of them were Top 3 and only Milwaukee in 21' was 7th (we can all agree they were pretty good on defense aside from their ranking). This was all regular season, but making such a claim that defense never wins over offense is just "casual talk", IK you are a GSW fan but plz be honest. You are not winning a championship by being mediocre on defense, if they can push their defense a little they sure can win
I think no matter if you're a champ or not chemistry is always important, not just to get along, but movement patterns, timing all have to be more synched up..
I feel like this team is the perfect picture of what’s to come in the future with this new wave of talented hoopers flooding in. It’s bout that time to enter the new era of hoopers. (And Anthony lamb! I look at him as a shooting glue guy. Not a draymond but yea. He meshes well with all the talent warriors got)
Always a great way to look at this season. The honesty helps make this more believable. I hope Kuminga and Wiseman have good things in the future on the journey to a championship. I believe in a 7 game series a healthy warriors team is tough to beat!
You're absolutely wrong about defense. When you're in the playoffs, and you're playing a team with an offense just as good as yours (which is basically every playoff game), the defense is what wins the games. It's never a shooting battle. The team with more boards and more steals has more scoring opportunities, therefore more points, therefore win.
Good offense does not beat good defense. You don't box out, you get outboarded by 16 you lose the game. There are no championships without elite defense. But GS have good defense historically, a little more time it hopefully clicks. Wish we still had Mike...
The warriors are not back my G. Curry and wiggins are still kinda playing half speed--Wiggins isn't even attacking the basket. Klay is only on the floor about 2/3 games. Kuminga isn't on the floor. They still don't look 100%. They're also missing a piece. Trade Wiseman, Moody and JaMychal in hopes that you can get something positive back. They have to wait for JaMychal to get healthy first--for the optics. They need a guy they can actually play and get good minutes out of. Anthony lamb is a bucket though... I think he may be the most underrated guy on this squad right now. This is going to be a massive breakout year for him... if he doesn't get burnt up by that open case 🤷. And people need to stop being so high on Wiseman... that boy is too raw to even play. They literally must trade him at this point to save his career, because they can't play a guy that's that negative on a squad with championship aspersions (he's 1 season out from being serviceable, 2 from being good). When people talk hopeful about Wiseman they expose the reality that they don't watch full warriors games. He is awful when on the floor. Terrible defense, low iq, can't catch the ball. Wiseman only makes sense on a team that's tanking, like the spurs. He'd get the minutes he needs to accelerate his development and with no pressure. If I were him, once I'm healthy, I'd be lobbying to get myself traded. Also, what do you mean about figuring Kuminga out? Kuminga has already cracked the rotation. It looks like the plan is for him to slot in for times when Wiggins is off the floor--he brings a similar level of pressure when guarding the wing.
@Hoop Reports sell your story you do you, but your language "viciously", while also ignoring the obvious travel of Steph just erodes any credibility you want. SMH
warriors have the best player development in the league, they can turn anyone into a 3 and d wing, you have donte and anthony lamb and etc, this is also why jordan poole is so good today aswell
You know why Bulls have few points lead against teams back then because Phil Jackson takes MJ out when they are ahead of the game to have all bench players and when game is about to be over Phil unleashed MJ to take over and close out games making MJ looks like a hero all the time, it worked all the time because MJ has unstoppable offense and a locking defense to the other team, the benefits of having bench players have time to play is when MJ passes the ball they have feels on the ball and confident enough to make shoots and win. Take a look at Westbrook Lebron is taking his time holding the ball and his confidence level goes down and his game also deteriorate, it happened to all Lebrons point guard teammates.
Also "GSW winning another chip" is the last thing referees want too... Which is VERY obvious when you see their officiating during Warriors' games!! 😤😤
This team, desperately needs a playable Center to back up Loon and another big wing for the front court. Loon and Dray aren't going to make it to the post season at this rate. This team is bound for the play in if things don't change.
You can really tell this an opinion piece when you want to prove good offence > good defense with just one fluke game. It doesn't take into account the defence of the offensive team and the offense of the defensive team. And now what happens if they're good at both? Like the celtics are now?
When it was Jordan's golden 90's, people wheren't sad it was. It's not a nightmare it's a performance worth remembering for life, like our old do of MJ's (with a legitimate GOAT discussion coming for Steph and a Pippen's for Klay and Rodman's for Dray)
There won't be a GOAT discussion. 6 out of 6 finals and total and complete domination of all aspects of the game is impossible to argue against. Top 5 (best PG) is likely, 2 if we're lucky.
Good defense will always beat good offense, and you cannot change my mind... Yes you need both to truly win but offense can be inconsistent because there are factors that you can't control, like a pass getting picked off, or your dribble getting knocked away, or, the simple fact of not making shots. Defense is entirely reliant on effort, your individual effort. As long as you've got air in your lungs, and feeling in your legs, you're gonna lock down and you're gonna stop those points from coming in. I'm a firm believer that many players today simply choose not to play good defense because it doesn't look as sexy as making a shot from halfcourt, but coming from a player who never was that great offensively, ripping the ball out of someone's hands mid-drive make you feel like way more of a badass than making a three-pointer. Blocking the game winning shot has just as if not more pressure than taking and making the game winning shot.
Rough start doesn't automatically translate to a rough season. As long as the Warriors land a playoff spot, doesn't matter what number it is, they will win the championship.
has a team ever won the championship with the best offence and worst defence? no. has a team won the championship with the worst offence and best defence? yes. i get youre hyped for your team but man good offence doesnt beat good defence in literally any sport. the numbers disagree with you so hard on this. scoring is not as consistent as good defence and will always be shown in a 7 game series. sorry man but saying good offence beats good defence in any sport is just false and you just hoping it will happen anyway. nothing wrong with hope cause anything can happen but that was just a falsehood.
I completely disagree with the analysis: offense wins you games, defense wins you championships. You can't be a champion with that level of defense, that's a fact. They have to turn it up if they want to get to the finals. Mike Brown's departure surely has something to do with the level of defense shown.
I like your video but some of it is a little disenguine. Modern defenses don't get destroyed by good offense. Some nights teams get lucky and some nights teams are tired. Playing at home, playing away, all play a factor. In the playoffs every single year the two teams that make the finals are always two of the best defensive and offensive teams. Great defense gets you to the finals. Great offense wins regular season games. Both of them create championships. In nba history I'm pretty sure the stat is that every single team that won the title was top 10 in defense and offense. Not a single team was average at either that won a title. Just saying. The warriors can have the number 1 offense. It doesn't matter. The kings have number one offense and not a single person actually believes the kings can beat anyone in 7 games at all. The warriors are looking rough and I honestly do not see them getting past the 2nd round. I would be shocked. The west is too good
Still believe in the overall strength of Warriors...if their defense is weaker at this time, then they must capitalize on their strong offense and push through with it aggressively for the win. With Steph and Wiggins back from their recent injuries, they can still pull thru.
I love your well-thought videos. I agree. At the start of the season, our Warriors didn't look like they could even be in the playoffs. But I think their plan is not to be at the top of the Western Conference, just hover somewhere between 5th to 7th place and when playoffs come, then they will unleash their champions mentality. But other teams are really doing great this year too, so we will really see.
What?? Lmao. No team who is contending "wants" or "plans" to be 5th through 7th on purpose lmao. Do you actually think that's their strategy? Do you know who had the 1 or 2 seed in 15' 16' 17' 18' and 19'? The Warriors. Home court advantage is very important in the play offs.. especially with a team that can't win on the road.

The NBA LOVES the warriors. Officiating favoritism is and has been uncontested. Adam silver has wet dreams about them, he gets moist just looking at them. Idk what u on about “worst nightmare”.
IDK what makes you think the really good teams in the NBA are sitting around saying "oh shit I hope the warriors start messing up or were screwed.". Actually good teams worry about themselves and focus on being good, not another teams downfall.
Warriors use to be able to come back from any deficit. You couldn't count them out of any game. But this year seems like if they are down at end of 1st quarter they stay down the hole game. I sure hope they get their "pop" back but I still haven't seen any yet!!! 🤔🤔🤔
The NBA is pretty much just the basketball version of the WWE...its all seeming quite scripted and just about the storyline...enjoy the show though I suppose lol
Yo this video is fucking hilarious painting the warriors as the team everyone hates is a far reach they're literally the NBA's sweethearts lol.... Not only that what kind of analysis is this "c'mon guys you're guarding curry where hes known to shoot unguarded, stop being scared." That's literally called playing defense correctly
The 'bench' unit isn't made up of the same players that it was earlier on the season. Many of the starting five are being mixed in with the actual bench players more often. Dray and Looney in particular. What you don't mention is that the Warriors defense continues to be bad. Additionally, Lamb who you rightly highlighted for his solid play just like Ty is rapidly approaching his 50 game limit. One of both of the two way guys will need to be converted to. Minimum deals. If they want both they have to cut someone else. Iggy came back for 5 seconds, dunked when he shouldn't have and now he's out again.
These last 3 games the bench has been playing better than the starters lmao Also Abt the defense yes and no. It really depends on the ref and the day. Not blaming the refs but the amount of physicality golden state is playing is drawing too many fouls against some teams but not others bc diff refs give different leniencies. That's why they had that game where they went 3qts without fouling more than 3 times but just the game before they had 24+ fouls

Folks here know so much more about the game than I do, but as a Memphian talking, I hope you’re right just because I’m a huge Wiseman fan and expect him to be fully healthy and really helping GS even more soon.
It's not world against the warriors anymore. Actually, I think most people were happy for Curry, cause he is one of the most likeable players in the NBA.
J'aimerais qu'ils gagnent 2016 et 2019 pour qu'ils aient 6 anneaux et soient probablement la meilleure dynastie que le monde ait jamais vue depuis Kobe, Mj, LB et Magic
It's all about intensity. If the players don't think a certain game is worth it as some point they really don't try that hard. Post season is when you get to see the real deal and the Celtics will be a damn menace defensively for anyone then.
Am I reading that right? The best defensive team in the league allows 106 points per game or am I not understanding that list? Edit: Okay, it’s points per possession. So they allow a little more than 1.6 points per opponents possession. Basically the teams they play against score almost every time they get the ball.
It's because the NBA has nigh entirely abandoned defense. It's hard not to when traveling is basically a non-existent call at this point. Makes for a lot of points, but boring cause it's just the same gameplan a vast majority of the time: > Screen to get space for a 3 or pull a defender away from another player that can then cut to the basket. If 3 point shot is defended: Pass to cutting player If 3 point shot is undefended: Shoot Wash, rinse, repeat 90+% of the time. It's all rather droll and boring at this point.
Gs is gone bro .steph is the reason why everyone else going to pop off.He gone end up carrying the whole team by himself and fail because dudes tired of him being so good
People forget that Kerr has pretty much conceded the first half of the season. The more important task for the team has been to train their raw and inexperienced, but potential-rich second unit. It hasn't been pretty, but they're finally closing in on their goal. The Warriors will be unbeatable by the time of the playoffs.
I wish I could agree with all of this. Steve Kerr did need the time Wiggins and Curry were hurt to see what he had on the bench. The problem is he shouldn't have needed that time. Here are two perfect examples of Steve Kerr's ineffectiveness, Ty Jerome is getting more playing time over double than Moses Moody and do you remember last year when Steve Kerr had this great plan of taking Steph out at the middle to end of the first quarter and put him back in the second or third and Steph would be cold. These two examples seem intuitive but they are not to him. Moody has been on the team since 2021 where GSW drafted him and so you have an athletic hard-working player and you give a shorter less gifted player more substantial time. You have to be ready, that is the best you say? Honestly I'm not sure why they have a player like Ty Jerome and although Donte DiVincenzo is playing okay, he's still iffy to me. This is why I don't necessarily agree with what you are saying. Wiseman and JK should be big parts of the team but I could see Steve Kerr not playing them. I mean for the Celtics game he sat Looney so Jordan Poole could start. So you are telling me you basically have 4 guards on the floor and Draymond Green. I know Wiggins and Klay are considered forwards but they also run and shoot mostly with the occasional drive. They play like big guards. Small ball is not the way and although you have great shooters, a big man like Giannis that can dunk 25 times in a game (Shaq was worse) will give you faster and more efficient points. Now I think Looney should come off the bench when Wiseman comes back and I would consider even taking Klay to the second squad. I think everyone with an injury should get some more time off the court. It is problematic that it really took up until the playoffs for Steve Kerr to use differently players to be a spark off the bench. Now you have a few players that can do that like Moses Moody but you rather let a bunch of cold players keep trying to heat up? Anthony Lamb is amazing and is playing great two way basketball. JaMychal Green, JK, Wiseman, Moody, Poole and PBJ are six players that could make a difference. Height is supposed to be a problem for us but we have players that are tall, that are athletic, that have good to great defense but the best that can happen is sending them down to the G League? I honestly think Igi should be on the staff because why does he ever play, I mean if it comes down to him with all the players that GSW have, that's a problem. Igi should be staff and we need to sub players so that they can get unique experiences like all the players mentioned. Oh lastly Tacko Fall and Cousins are free agents. Why don't we go after them. Just an idea for more of the depth and height we need. You said something outstanding and I had to mention it. Defense in the league is weak and good enough offense will beat good defense. This is because the NBA has made the calls so stupid that you can't really do anything but play offense. I was looking up blocks and I saw Vince Carter own Nikola Jokic and Kenneth Faried. Jokic the second coming that everyone makes him out to be was not that special and was not setting records and being compared to the best big men the game has ever seen. They are saying he is better than Wilt lol. Now since defense doesn't matter they are claiming he is the best center. The same thing is true for a lot of young players and it's unfortunate. You don't have to be the best and work the hardest, you just have to be smart and with a little extra loves from the refs. This is why back in the day if you had an 8 point lead with 3 minutes left, the game was over and there were very rare come backs. Getting blown out by 30+ wasn't the normal. Defense meant something and refs didn't have to look if every hard move was a flagrant. I mean at this point you have people jumping into your space as you play defense and you are charged with a flagrant, there are no and I mean no real man to man lock up defense. Now some players like Durant and Curry, will break a defense down but it's just too easy now. I hated the Harden era when you could go into a player's space, pretend to shoot, walk and draw a foul. It got ridiculous and the NBA had to rethink things but it's still pretty bad. I know many people will hate this comment but as records are broken by every player, I think we should see how the rest of the world is not catching up to the NBA but the NBA is just becoming a worse league in terms of how weak great players can be. You stay out and sit most of the regular season as if that is a good thing and then come in rested for the playoffs. This is not a rant saying the olden days were better, this is a rant saying the NBA as a league it allowing weakness to be rewarded because offense sells. As bad as the WNBA is, there were great female players back in the day. I look at Cheryl Miller, Lisa Leslie, Sheryl Swoopes and even Candace Parker now are actually incredible and should be given props. They can beat average male players and can make NBA players have to work and would probably give the current NBA players a run for their money. Records being broken is a beautiful thing that great players should enjoy watching the effort that goes into breaking them, but the NBA is so offense oriented that records are broken in such a corny way. I love the NBA and don't have a problem with debating GOATS and the who is and can't be and wouldn't be and couldn't be and the big differences from one generation to the next, BUT this NBA is making the greatness of players that had to fight like the great Allen Iverson and making it borderline easy. When a player is allowed to play more intensely in the FIBA Basketball World Cup vs the NBA, that's a problem. When overseas players are looking at the league as easy because Defense was harder where they came from, that is a problem. This is the problem with having a BIG 3 or BIG 5. Normally these are the super elite players and they will get there's but if you don't allow any defense or hard fouls, then you are making it easy for them. As long as you have a better offense, you can win. I'm sorry this turned into a thesis about the disposition of Refs in the league and the commissioner doing a poor job of making the league competitive on both sides of the floor. It's just the league gets further and further away from what it should be and players like Jokic will get 4 or 5 MVP's in a row. That's wild to me but I get it.
Happens every year, teams scramble all season with 6 guys for a good seed while the Dubs get their entire unit playing time. 'Strength in numbers' may sound cliche but it's how you win 4 series come April

Because they bring in so much money to the league, and Curry in particular. That's why the beginning of the video stating that the NBA doesn't want them to win is such a bad take. At the end of the day, it's about money. Curry's crazy plays get views, and bring in money. A little travel here and there for more legendary clips and attention, a fair deal in the NBA's opinion.
we just need to be better on the road, we are elite at home. we have many many holes still in the defense which needs to be addressed for us to win

I believe in the Warriors, but I think the KD/Kyrie/Harden Nets proved, good offense indeed, does not beat good defense... GSW needs to step up on defense and stop the TO's
The number of times he said the warriors are back this season is absurd 😂
3 things:
1: Please don’t take 1 game and use it as a look at “how bad Celtics are.” Any team can get hot on any night.
And that's what they've been getting better at they're gelling really well now
Also Klay finding his rhythm is also contributing to this turn around. Mans was ice cold before curry got injured
These boys are gonna be ready come playoff time. It’s been such a privilege to watch the young guys figure it out and they’re halfway there.
I love the way you put this together man 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤯 Keep it up 🏆💯
What beat is playin at the 5 min mark????????
before u get nervous, remember..the Celtics were 22-22 at this same point in time last year.
plus the warriors are in the playoffs right now while the west being extremely close.
The grizzlies chanting grizzlies in 7 had me dying laughing
I think the dubs just need to improve their defense to win back to back
Same
Its already mid season. Warriors gotta fix it quick
GS ain't winning the chip if they can't win road games.
Only turnovers cost them atleast 10 easy wins they would have been way ahead on the tip
That's why I don't want them to play the Nuggets round 1. If they do Jokic will eat them alive.

What nightmare? Warriors still have to be proven on the road. Cant have a very low seed come playoff time. And the have glaring issues on the road.
@@aretwodeetoo1181 steph is already the greatest PG of all time 🤷♂️
Good defense will always beat good offense, and you cannot change my mind...
Sucks to lock up a top seed just to get knocked out by the Warriors in the first round.
If you think golden state is going to win another championship this year keep dreaming.. there’s absolutely no shot they win this year.
Rough start doesn't automatically translate to a rough season. As long as the Warriors land a playoff spot, doesn't matter what number it is, they will win the championship.
What's your background music called?
has a team ever won the championship with the best offence and worst defence? no. has a team won the championship with the worst offence and best defence? yes. i get youre hyped for your team but man good offence doesnt beat good defence in literally any sport. the numbers disagree with you so hard on this. scoring is not as consistent as good defence and will always be shown in a 7 game series. sorry man but saying good offence beats good defence in any sport is just false and you just hoping it will happen anyway. nothing wrong with hope cause anything can happen but that was just a falsehood.
I completely disagree with the analysis: offense wins you games, defense wins you championships. You can't be a champion with that level of defense, that's a fact. They have to turn it up if they want to get to the finals. Mike Brown's departure surely has something to do with the level of defense shown.
Of course. GSW defense was crucial last playoffs
So true all the recent winners have had elite defense
The west is too good
Also if there's any new personnel, that also takes getting used to as well
Still believe in the overall strength of Warriors...if their defense is weaker at this time, then they must capitalize on their strong offense and push through with it aggressively for the win.

Warriors use to be able to come back from any deficit. You couldn't count them out of any game. But this year seems like if they are down at end of 1st quarter they stay down the hole game. I sure hope they get their "pop" back but I still haven't seen any yet!!! 🤔🤔🤔

aint gonna be like last year, they are bad now
Yo this video is fucking hilarious painting the warriors as the team everyone hates is a far reach they're literally the NBA's sweethearts lol....
These last 3 games the bench has been playing better than the starters lmao
Also Abt the defense yes and no.

Playing good defense and not letting him get an easy shot is scared?
Biggest problem is 3pt error ruined bball. Soo friggin boring to watch now
It's not world against the warriors anymore.
0:47 thats ridiculous. LeChoke can run a quarterback sneak from half-court and he NEVER gets called for it... Curry is just that good.
@hoopreports, what do you say after tonight loss to the Nets? our vet look mentally and fiscally tired.. what do you think?
There’s two seasons in the NBA: The regular season & the post season. Making the playoffs/post season isn’t too difficult since 16/30 make it.
Makes for a lot of points, but boring cause it's just the same gameplan a vast majority of the time:
> Screen to get space for a 3 or pull a defender away from another player that can then cut to the basket.
If 3 point shot is defended: Pass to cutting player
If 3 point shot is undefended: Shoot
Wash, rinse, repeat 90+% of the time. It's all rather droll and boring at this point.
Gs is gone bro .steph is the reason why everyone else going to pop off.He gone end up carrying the whole team by himself and fail because dudes tired of him being so good

Hopefully you're preaching the truth.
People forget that Kerr has pretty much conceded the first half of the season. The more important task for the team has been to train their raw and inexperienced, but potential-rich second unit. It hasn't been pretty, but they're finally closing in on their goal. The Warriors will be unbeatable by the time of the playoffs.

@@boondockbwoy14 😂😂😂 if he can’t stay healthy he’s done
To be fair wiseman’s last three games have been easily the best games of his career
Man when you presented Wiseman and Kuminga in that pic and just reminded that they are athletic, that’s Scary bro.
