Earlier this month we spent a few days at Caesar Creek State Park just east of Dayton Ohio. It was our first time staying at a Ohio State Park. We enjoyed the Campground a lot with the hiking kayaking and biking available there. It was also very close to the National Air Force Museum.
I don't think I've been to any campgrounds in Ohio that didn't have a beach somewhere on the lake..I live here in Ohio not super far from ceasars Creek
Definitely not the only beach at a state park in Ohio. Lol. I’m from Springfield Ohio and I believe our beach at CJ brown state park is like 1/2 mile long.
Thomas Lavelle - I was so mad at my self for hitting the picnic table and I had a camera on the table too 🤬. It left a dent on the lower rap of the trailer. Thankfully I was able to pull out the dent with a “paint Less” dent removal kit from Amazon. I was able to remove over 95% of the dent, it’s almost invisible. 😇. Thanks for the comment. 🙏
Houston woods is another Ohio state park and its about 25 minutes from the airforce museum. It also has beach, boating, swimming and lots of trails. If you come out of ceaser creek turn left there is a little town called Waynesvill lots of shops and antiques there and keep going there is a little gas station with some of the best burgers and chicken you will eat. The Ohio renacance festival held in October is just a few miles down the road. Also to the right is a big flea market thats pretty neat. All of these places are on st route 73 the same road as the park
That is the campground beach, there another big one about 50 times the size of that and there’s a nice marina they recently built, for the future I recommend doing a google earth of the surrounding area so you can see what’s around 👍🏼
I believe there are a number of Ohio's State Parks that have beach access. Just a few I can think of off the top of my head are East Harbor State Park on Lake Erie, Alum Creek State Park , Buckeye Lake State Park, and Headlands Beach State Park. I know East Harbor has a nice RV campground, not sure of the others. More info on all of the parks can be obtained at parks.ohiodnr.gov/.

This was our first, we are looking forward to returning in the future.

That true - can forget that great lake to your north. Lots of beach there. I will add CJ Brown state park to the list of places to check out in Ohio.
Great review guys. Watch out for those spontaneously jumping picnic tables. 😉

Thanks, we will check it out next time
Those fat tire bikes look awesome. I like how the handle bars store...what is the brand of those bikes?
Randy McMullen -Thanks, they are made by Rad Bikes. We have couple videos on the bikes where we have reviewed them.

Thanks Ken, for sharing. After making that statement, I thought there must me more State Parks with Beach access in Ohio.
Indian lake, Cowen lake, and Rocky fork state parks are a few more
Yes, there are a lot of beach areas in State Parks in Ohio. Ceaser's Creek may be the smallest though :)
you got a good spot then we fish out there 24/7 and that campgrounds is full and overrun with raccoons
It looks to be a fun place to fish. Thanks for the comment.
