Literally after I watched this video I spent 2 weekends practicing everything you said to do in this video and now I get nice standup wheelies all the time
I asked my friend who is a pro at any kind of wheelie why he is so much better than me at them. He asked me how many hours I had spent practicing? I may do a few wheelies each time I go out riding. He said he would spend entire days just practicing wheelies over and over. Like 5 hours a day every day until he felt he had the skill level he was happy with.
The minute I started watching this video I thought about Tomac manualling those rollers/whoops at Daytona a few years back. So I thought it was cool to see the clip worked into this video.
Tyler I just watched that nose wheelie vid, where did u geniuses get that Arnold clip...no wait this guy enemy was the pavement...priceless,I loved that u guys are crazy, keep it up I love this stuff....hah hah hah hah ha,I need a Vincent Price laugh button insert here...piece out u guys rock keep those kids in the know...
Came off trying these 5th gear onto the hard rocky road.. can wheelie sitting down fine haven’t done much stand ups well I found out the hard way I member watching this video months ago but didn’t take too much into mind lol learnt my lesson oh well time to heal up and try again
Instead of pulling the front brake you can also squat down (to compress the suspension) and at the same time give it a little throttle while moving your body back the way he describes. Always cover the rear break. It can save you a lot from tipping over. Watch ryan youngs wheelie video or WDTC Video on how to do wheelies. Those are trials bikes but the technique applies to any motorcyle I will try this version of mx factory with the brake too. Excelently described 👌🤙
Finally nailed the seated wheelies, now I want to be able to do the standing ones on my surron, do you have to hang tight on the bars to stay in place ? I fell like I"m doing something wrong, I hold on so tight I can't really control the throttle when I'm standing. I want to be able to do it with steady speed, not by accelerating
Awesome! Thanks Tyler! Took a spill at a Houston track and broke my thumb so just waiting for it to heal. Trying to get back out there soon for another session ASAP.
Decided to do my first ever stand up with no previous experience and I picked 4th gear on a 2016 crf 250r and missed the back break and hot some sweet sweet road rash
I wish I could like a video twice. This is one of your better ones and you've set the benchmark as far as I'm concerned. Still too 🐔 to follow all the way through though. When that nose pops up, my blood pressure spikes and I roll that throttle right back off.
Love your how to vids, the other wheelie vid rrreaaally helped me get better at it FAST, for you next how to vid tho, can you guys teach us how to do a whip standing up? because I'm a little too scared to do it sitting down, I did baby whips while standing, just need to know more on it and how to bring it back while standing up
Thanks bro definitely good tips I am three-quarters up still to scared to push the last bit 😂😂 but I just started to try yesterday today I got a little more I am on a KLX 140L so it is easy for me to control better then the Beta 300 😂😂
I have i question, In a lot of your videos like how to whip or how to seat bounce is see you sitting while going up the jump. But i ride on a sand track and i always stand while entering the jump. So do i need to sit down before going up the jump or do i need to try and whip while standing up? Nice video's btw. Greetings from the Netherlands.
+Kiet Praster Sitting or standing all depends on the jump face and what you're trying to do, for example stay low, jump high, go far, etc. On sandy tracks, standing is probably the preferred position almost everywhere, including jump faces. The track can change so quickly in sand and standing helps you react quicker to the changes. Only sit down over a jump face if you want to seat bounce (go higher) or if you know the face will be consistent every lap. In general, standing on a jump face is always ideal because you can use your legs more efficiently. Hope that all makes sense 👍🏻 Thanks for the feedback from the Netherlands!
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, the best channel I found on the internet Congratulations 🔄⭐🇧🇷🔝 Could you teach a 250x wheelie cram tip?
my biggest problem with stand wheelie is mindblock, this shit is only in my head but it makes learning 10x harder, like with normal wheelie learning no block, no fear to fall of the bike, but when trying stand wheelie, i feel too "loose" on bike no mater if it's attack position or more straight legs, i feel like im just gonna shit my pants when i get too far, snap gas and go superman on bike (if you know what i mean) and i don't feel brake at all when i do stand wheelies, hope practicing it more at "safer" place than some dirt road i'll get rid the fuck of that mindblock thing, or just learn it other time because i just got my bike like 1 month ago
Hi, thanks for your video :) can we use only the brake engine to not flip with the bike ? when you are at the balance point, because with 4 strokes the brake engine is powerfull
Man you suck at wheeling.... Actually I suck... You are awesome thank you for the information... most people won't want to share their own experience with other people... I respect your words of wisdom and knowledge... Thanks for sharing.. Robert jr NJ here XR 650 owner myself here..
Hey! I have a simple question for y'all, because I need a few tips.I am 16 and I really want to buy a KTM. Is the 85 SX 19/16 suitable for me? I am 170 cm tall and I am afraid that it won't fit. I've been riding ATVs and QUADs all my life and felt the need to get a dirtbike. Thanks :)
I am pretty good at those slow Jarvis style wheelies but I am not good at doing standing wheelies. I don't know what am doing wrong... Bike just wants to pull from under me and I think I am holding o to the bars too much
I think that part was obvious, he just wanted 2 know how to hang wheelie through the band/pipe. --hang on & tame the beast.. if you can't you got too big a bike.
I’d recommend learning standing up first. It’s easier if you have a 4 stroke but it works for both. I learned by just power wheelieng with no clutch at first. Just hit the front brake a tiny bit and punch the throttle. Sometimes I don’t even hit the front brake especially when on a 450. Also keep in mind, the faster your moving in a standing up wheelie, the easier it is to keep balance (at least for me). The hard part of wheelies is learning rear brake and throttle control at balancing point in a slow wheelie. When I wheelie standing up I barely have to use the rear brake to drop the front end down. I’ll just shift my body weight forwards. But I also know how far I can bring it up without tipping backwards. Good luck.
Literally after I watched this video I spent 2 weekends practicing everything you said to do in this video and now I get nice standup wheelies all the time
I’m going to try it soon
Great information. The Tomac clip at 4:08 is insane in that his foot is not even covering the rear brake - animal!

Won't engine braking help to get you back down if you go too far just a little bit? On my ttr125LE it works
Do I need to soften my suspension a bit? It’s factory setup right now. I ride a yamamha yzf250r 2020

Do a video with two stroke bike, no enduro type bikes :)
Do you have any tips for modification of bike to easy pop up a wheelie?

Which gear do you guys use when pop up the bike
Must pull up the handle bar or with power of bike ?
Oh yes , will i practice that .. ? Hell yeah
Need a video on keeping your balance left to right in a wheelie

Hi, thanks for your video :)
can we use only the brake engine to not flip with the bike ? when you are at the balance point, because with 4 strokes the brake engine is powerfull

Can my bike wheelie ycf 85 it dont have clucth sorry if i spell anything wrong
great video, can u do a standing up scrub please
Brilliant videos, thank you! Keep them coming.

Tyler do you want me to use second gear on a 2 stroke to load suspension? Or better 1 gear?
2nd is best

What is the difference between atv and quad ?
Tommy Hwk I would recommend getting a 126
Would You please make a video how to drift on a MX bike. That is a very nesessary tecnique on a flat turns and sand burms
Coming soon!
Do we pop it in 1st gear or 2nd?
2nd is better when standing at more speed
I find it much easier to control standing up..
exactly i can only do it standing up
@@mouhamadbazzi7732 that's what she said
do you ride 2 or 4 stroke?
idolllll

Can u do a wheelie riding out a power band
+Ty Deterding You can wheelie as long as you like. The goal is to find the balance point so you don't need speed to keep the front end up.
Ty Deterding u shouldn’t need to powerband whellie because u can just use your weight
I think that part was obvious, he just wanted 2 know how to hang wheelie through the band/pipe. --hang on & tame the beast.. if you can't you got too big a bike.
hi is it better to use a automatic dirtbike or the manual????
We prefer manual. As most bikes are manual.
Freaking awesome
Hey I have a question
I have ktm exc125 2 stroke
And trying to wheelie everyday but I can’t why?
Nightmare Of Legends are you having a problem getting the wheel up? Or keeping it us
Graham Vandermark yep I have problem with wheeling..
what is better to learn first, standing or sitting wheelie?
Sitting may be better to learn balance control and rear brake use first
i love these videos. i'll be doing this on my wr250r sm.
Do u have to learn sit down whellies first before stand up whellies?
Olan Elam no
I’m the other way. I can stand and wheelie till the cows come home. Sitting I struggle to keep control of rear brake.
Good luck.
CheeeezPIC i can wheelie sitting down just fine but i cant even get the front wheel up standing😂😂

Can you do that on a two stock do a 2 strok version
Check out our channel, we do have a 2 stroke wheelie video.
Thanks a lot helped me beat my mates in beats
Is it easier to do a stand up wheelie or just sitting down?
Joe : I’ve been doing wheelies for the last 4-5 years and from my experience sitting down and doing a wheelie is easier
To a video on how to scrap the back fender
Is it better to learn standing up or sitting down
Either, sitting may be easier though.
Awsome, now do a wheelie lying down
