"In the kingdom of Bretonnia, there lived a humble peasant named Isabelle. She lived with her family in a small village and spent her days working hard in the fields, tending to crops and animals. Isabelle had always dreamed of a life beyond the village, but she knew that her duty was to her family and the land they depended on.
One day, a group of bandits raided the village, stealing crops and terrorizing the people. Isabelle's family was not spared, and they were left with nothing. But Isabelle refused to give up. She rallied the other villagers, leading them in a fierce defense against the bandits. to be fair, bretonnian bowmen are pretty decent because poison arrows are good, they are dirtcheap and really many. If they shoot 1000 arrows at once it doesnt matter they aint hitting shit. Love the videos!

@@asherwoodrow7471 As a strong proponent of the Trebuchet Shotgun, yes. Absolutely Skaven dis bitch. Nothing survives a shot from the trebuchet shotgun, nothing! (fyi, 1 lord and 19 units of trebuchets are how to build the shotgun)
Also, who needs armor piercing damage when you can shoot 1000 arrows. 1 AP damage x 1000 is still 1000 damage.
Correction, they’re good in mp where having cheap units is a benefit and you aren’t limited by peasant economy.
In campaign they’re only the best you’ve got.
Hey dude loved the video, for future reference the ability of the tomb kings that spawns Ubshabti says “0” at the start of the battle but it gains one charge when more than 50% of their army is dead (not counting the resurrection)
Ahhhh, that's how it works then. I assumed it was just on a timer like most of the other summons. It makes sense that it's displayed that way then, but it could still be clearer imo.

The worst part of this is having to wait for more episodes. Also, you actually inspire me to make my own stylized campaigns. Especially after the Grom troll episodes.
On the one hand, this seems like it would be easier than Skavenslaves only… but on the other hand, you don’t have Clan Moulder’s bonuses, and you have the economy to deal with too… very interested to see how this goes

Have you considered doing a Vampire Counts Skeletons Only run? You can get 100% upkeep reduction, so it'd probably only be a one-episode thing, but it'd be funny to be like "And then the world was drowned in a tide of skeletons."
I don't have much experience with the Vampire Counts, but that sounds fun
@@BrilliantStupidity Yeah, the only issue, I just looked up them to see how you dfid it, and apparently some time last year, they patched/removed/whatever'd the upkeep so you can't make them free any longer, which is super-lame.
The entire idea is that the VC are pretty poor as a faction, so having free units made them pretty strong, especially when you can just use raise dead to conjure up a whole new army for zero upkeep, just the upfront cost.
But hey, VC with only Skeleton Warriors and Spearmen might still be fun, idk ^.^

@Saphyr yah but everyone does that run. That was the only series of his I didn't finish cause it's pretty much just a Skarsnik run. Goblins are kinda better than orcs in most respects so this would be an actual challenge.

Peasants suck but nothing is more hilarious then building tons of armouries and buffing the hell out of the peasants and watching them rout superior forces.

Consider buffing the archers and getting the Explosive ones, I did it once and those guys were racking up kills.
I think that might be a mod, there isn't a vanilla brettonia archer with explosive rounds.

I will definitely do that at some point, but after this campaign I'll be doing cavalry only with Brettonia for a direct comparison.
Cathay peasants are absolute gigachads especially with their yin-yang enabled.

Some ideas for future campaigns: Gnoblar only Ogres, Tree only Wood Elves, Marauder only WoC, peasant only Cathay, crab only VC, Orc only GS with Grimgor

Considering that most brettonian unmounted units break upon contact this series was eye-opening on how numbers beats everything, even the Skaven would be impressed
From my experience, those dwarves declare war on any player faction near them. Setra, high Queen, the last defenders, I’ve played as all of them and each time, at like -6 neutrality, they’ve declared war.
If you can, definitely see if you can recruit some sort of giant to make a mega peasant
In TT having an all-peasant build, called "Power of lowborn", is actually quite popular. Mostly because Bretonnia itself is a one-trick pony (heh) and their trick works only half of the time (break everything on their charge, then reform and charge again). Peasant archers, on the other hand, are reasonably priced and reliable, and there are some additions that support this playstyle (Vow of Humility and braziers for peasants.)
I love how this series could easily devolve into a “Take A Shot Every Time He Says Trebuchet” drinking game

Peasantide can be funny when it works. When you can out horde the rat boys with units about as expendable, that's when you know you've made it.
Tomb kings gets an ushabti summon from their faction ability. It works like the dark elf ability. They don't have it by default, they need to get a certain amount of deaths (or kills, I don't remember). The UI isn't lying.
Considering how much I do suck at this game, it's fun to watch someone do something insane and do it well.

An "only one model per unit" series could be interesting (and extremely tough). Lords, heroes and elite single units:D
The reason the Ushabti just showed up in your back line during the battle is because of the tomb kings army ability that they have faction wide. The more units die the more the ability badges until it hits max, healing all tomb kings units in the field and gives them 1 free summon of Ushabti anywhere on the field.
Let's do this! Can't wait too see how you handle this challenge.

I've been trying to do this but as the Fey enchantress, the moment i fight demons my peasants get absolutely stomped. Fire archers being the best at doing something to them (this was verses exiles of khorne)
It's almost harvesting season!
So those "units that should not exist", are summoned by the army ability realm of souls, which charges as the tomb kings take casualties. The reason it says they have 0 uses is because the summon ability starts at zero uses and gains 1 use from the last level of realm of souls being fully charged.
I would consider going into defence mode for a while, trimming the army down a little and building up your mountain province, especially because you have the iron resource there, if you can camp for a good while build up gold and get tier 4 you can go ham on foot squires and halberds and do really good damage, also poison peasant archers and blessed trebuchets

I may have a challenge for you. The launch trailer is out, and I think a campaign focused on diplomacy could be interesting. How you play the game, especially war and battle is just fascinating, but a campaign with the goal of forging a great alliance between elves, dwarves and men could be an excellent challenge.
Just my opinion, and anyway, you showcase why this game is so diverse and endless. I've never been a Warhammer fan before, but total war is, I think, a great gateway to the world, lore etc ..

I love your game series, it's very entertaining how you find so many ways to play "unusual" compositions and make them work for you. And it gave me an idea. I know you said you have a plethora of ideas already, but I still want to try to add to that list, maybe you find them compelling (or even have them already added) ^^
Dwarfs, but they're actually Woodelves. It appeared to me that Dwarfs play 'very' similar to High elves. Have a strong Frontline, let the ranged units deal the damage, BUT are they also like Woodelves? Stealthy hit and run tactics? Low armor, but fast and hitting like a truck? So I was thinking trying to beat a game using only "fast" (for a dwarf) units that are lightly armored, kinda glass cannons and excel in Skirmish, meaning Slayers and Rangers (dunno if more units would fit the bill) No idea how you deal with sieges, Dwarf Lords never become Siege attacker afaik so you might need to use hero actions to break walls, or if there is an army ability to break doors, or if you allow yourself to have 1 Artillery piece per army ^^
The other idea I had was "animal Kingdom" I know you did a dinosaur only campaign already (was amazing ^^) but with the recent patch (if you got it) another faction REALLY bulked up on their monstrous units with more than 2 legs, namely Kislev. They got now Spiderlings, Spiders, Things in the Wood, Ice/Bears, Elemental Ice Bears and Snow Leapoards. I think no other faction aside from Lizardmen has so many (accessible) non humanoid Monstrous units (I don't count Drycha and Rakarth, they can't recruit at will). Also most of those units are easy to gear up to. It would fit the theme of "Mother Kislev rises against her enemies" in the most literal way ^^ Mother Ostankya is probably the most obvious choice, but maybe Boris Ursus also fits the bill ^^
That's all I got so far, I'm trying to come up with a theme for myself to play Tomb Kings, but with their Unit caps it's hard to come up with anything aside from theming each army individually ^^' Either way, keep it up, your content is very entertaining and sometimes educating, I love it ^^

If you become allies with all other bretonians you can recruit allied units, which might be able to give you just a few extra peasants in the army. Or at least alleviate the pressure on your peasantry economy

Answering the question of ''how does arkhan have another army already'' He has +1 army as a faction effect in warhammer 3, unlike 2. So he starts with a cap of 2 instead of 1.
