Thanks again buddy, and thanks for staying on me about getting another video out! Sometimes I need a little encouraging kick in the right direction! Haha
Thanks man I appreciate it! I’ve had time to get out and hunt, but finding the time to piece together a video seems harder. Maybe because finding them comes to me so much easier than making videos! Haha But thanks again though for taking the time to watch and comment!
Thank you! I was wondering where you’ve been.. I’ve gotten used to hearing from my regulars when I put a video out! Haha I guess it would help if I were a little more consistent with putting out videos, but I can’t put videos out if I’m not finding anything! Haha Thanks as always!
@@Points365 Hi friend! It has nothing to do with how much you put out videos. I have had a trying year many curve balls sent my way lol things are getting better so I have more time to enjoy my RUclips friends. I pray that 2024 is a awesome year for us all with Joy, Peace and of course LOTS!!! Of amazing finds.😁🎄
Thanks man! That spot where I found the elk river has been my best elk river producer. 4th one in this little 6’ area in the past year. Other than there I really don’t find a whole lot of them unfortunately. Nice toothy kirks are always nice addition to the collection as well! Haha thanks again and as always buddy!
Like the find ! Back in 1984 out goose hunting in the swamps of Northern Utah in the fall ,after the major flooding in the spring earlier that year ! People were messing up our hunting walking around the the area multiple times ! I had a talk with an older man that showed me what to look for ! I was amazed by the 1000 year old Arrowheads and bits of pottery that I found !!! That experience was really Awesome !!! I Also know a man that has a massive collection of 800 year old forest Indians all Documented through the University of Colorado ! He laid out the collection on two king sized bed sheets on the floor and you could see more artifacts than sheet ! It's Amazing ! I think Cody has them now ! I hope all is well with her she is Awesome !
Thanks man! Whew, yeah that’s always my fear is messing up someone’s hunt. I try to be as mindful as I can be, and remain quieter than usual when I know I’m near popular hunting areas. I accidentally messed up a guys deer hunt and scared them off years back on accident. I’ve felt bad about it ever since! Hopefully you didn’t come down on that older fellow too hard. That was nice of him to show you what you were missing out on! No telling what you had walked past in all the prior years of hunting. I’m sure you remember finding your first one like it was yesterday too! It’s incredible how many there are to be found when you know what you’re looking for. As you can tell from the amount of artifacts covering the bed sheets! That’s wild sounding! I have some property in Brigham City that I purchased years ago thinking I might enjoy going to when spending time in my second favorite state. I never looked around for artifacts there though… sounds like I should! Haha

@@Points365 I am looking forward to seeing what you found. I'm taking a break for the rest of winter but I am making replica primitive tools only using primitive tools to make them. Have you dabbled in that any?
@NGA2014 Man, I wish I had the skills to do that! One time I collected some nice big chunks / flakes of flint just to get an idea of what it took to create a projectile out of raw material. One time is all it took for me! Haha I feel like everyone who collects artifacts should give it a try once. It really makes you look at and appreciate them more. @@Points365 I use hardwood and antler billets. I use antler for pressure flaking. Quartz is abundant around my area, so I dove in the deep end at first. I appreciate the easiness of chert now. Thanks buddy! Sorry it’s been so long. It’s been a busier than normal year for me, and putting together videos it somewhat of a time consuming process for me. It doesn’t come as easy for me as finding them! Haha I used my eye loupe to check that coin out. It was so corroded I couldn’t tell. Penny for sure based off the size. Might be modern with how corroded it was. They don’t make em like they used to! I feel bad for future generations of people metal detecting. Coins deteriorate so fast when exposed to the elements. I did have a nice old nickel find a couple months ago, along with another old coin that’s so worn it’s literally smooth on both sides! Both will of course be in upcoming videos. Haha I can’t pass up a good artifact, no matter how inconvenient it is to carry around! I have quite the collection of nutting stones. Some s few inches wide, some close to 24” wide. Man the type of material is totally unknown to me.. it’s for sure different from any other type that I find around here. The spot where I found it has a knack for having artifacts made out of some of the most exotic materials though! But absolutely on the music.. It’s a song called “Dome sweet dome” by Nat Keefe with the bow ties. They provide their music free for anyone to use in videos. A generous thing for them to do. I should probably start adding a shout out or some sort of recognition to them at the end of the videos or something. Thanks for giving me the idea!
Thanks buddy! I looked that coin over with my loupe and it was so corroded I really couldn’t get anything distinguishable off of it. I’d say penny based off of the size. Possibly modern with as corroded as it is. Seems like the newer coins just don’t hold up like the old ones. I do have a couple old coin finds made a couple months ago that will eventually find its way into a video! I’ll try not to take so long getting the next round of finds out! Thanks again and as always man!
Haha If you can strum a catchy tune on a banjo while in the process we might be able to work something out! I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have theme music everywhere if go! Too funny though man! Thanks and I appreciate you taking the time to check out the finds!
Holy smokes ! What a amazing ending! All was great but the last couple of minutes, wow ! What did you determine about the large rock with detentions in it ? Campfire starter stone ? Nutter , just wondering. Thanks for sharing
Thanks buddy! You know I always like to make the ending nice and dramatic! Haha But I was thinking anvil stone on the big stone in question with the indentions. The way the indentions aren’t smooth, but rough is what made me think that. Whatever it really is, I have about 20 of them in varying sizes. The largest of which is about 24”x24”. It looks good in the bottom of my glass cabinet! Thanks as always buddy!
Yeah buddy, if you’re talking about that elk river at the 14:30 mark, it was impressive! I love that style of artifact for that flaking pattern they typically have. 4th one I’ve found there in the past year!
Haha man I don’t really know? I’m decent at finding artifacts. I’m horrible at identifying them! If it is one it’s unbeknownst to me! All I know is it’s an artifact, so I’m sharing it!
Well,I watched the video a couple more times,it's for Shure fluted on one side, and kinda on the other,it's a little chunky, but hey it's got all the right stuff to be a Clovis in my eyes, maybe not the nicest, but for sure one the real old ones ..congrats man! ...you have a winner in my book!

Hey guy can I tag along with you to add sound effects. Add a bunch of hooping and hollering with those killers you pull out. Congratulations
Diagonal collateral flaking!
Yeah buddy, if you’re talking about that elk river at the 14:30 mark, it was impressive! I love that style of artifact for that flaking pattern they typically have. 4th one I’ve found there in the past year!
was that a frickin clovis?
Haha man I don’t really know? I’m decent at finding artifacts. I’m horrible at identifying them! If it is one it’s unbeknownst to me! All I know is it’s an artifact, so I’m sharing it!
Well,I watched the video a couple more times,it's for Shure fluted on one side, and kinda on the other,it's a little chunky, but hey it's got all the right stuff to be a Clovis in my eyes, maybe not the nicest, but for sure one the real old ones
..congrats man!
...you have a winner in my book!
👍
Thanks again and as always buddy!
😊
Thanks for checking it out!
😎👍🙏
Thanks again and as always!
incredible piece at 10:40
Dude thank you! I was pretty pumped about that piece myself. A big chunk of Dover flint anything is always a welcomed addition to the collection!
Love the serrated ones!
