@@johnmartin7158 Their timing in the US is years behind. With Hisense and TCL beating Panasonic with far better pricing and with about the same level of picture quality Panasonic their TV market share is probably never going to be in the middle.
I wish Panasonic would return to the u s market like they were. In the 90s they had great vacuum cleaners comparable to Sebo and Miele . Not quite as good but 90% and less expensive . Cordless phones etc etc etc . Panasonic seemed to be a little less expensive than Sony with a lot of products but just about as good for less money
I watched the scene with the fruit on my TCL QM8 just the other night. I was shocked there was absolutely no banding on that either. There are very subtle color changes across that scene, you would think color banding would be inevitable. Its good to see these newer sets nailing these tests. This Panasonic looks pretty nice. Another one to add to the list of solid TVs from this year.
Fantastic TV! I have one with PS5 Pro, love the Black levels and all natural, clean & calm picture. To me, Panasonic and LG are the ones I like most. Good to have more choices. Now let's see what CES 2025 will unveil. Still not sure if I need a MLA TV at some stage though
I just purchased a Z85 with which I replaced a Panasonic plasma, I can only confirm the exceptional quality of this TV for cinema enthusiasts it is an almost obligatory choice even much, much more expensive TVs do not have its accuracy in faithful and natural reproduction . a superb product!!! and even if it doesn't have such a beautiful design, it has exceptional reliability and can literally last years and years, like cathode ray tube TVs once did. highly recommended!!!!
Panasonic is now a tough competitor to TVs like Sony and Samsung. Their comeback is unexpected. Panasonic has given way more picture modes/presets than I expected. Consumers will have control over the picture quality of their content. I enjoyed your video. Good luck with the upcoming videos...👍
Awesome Brian, thanks. Am thinking about going from LCD (an older Panasonic) to OLED. Scouring the various channels, but come always back to yours. I always feel relaxed and easy watching your vids, is like watching together and have nice talk about what we see. You hard work is much appreciated, thanks. One question: how aggressive or controllable is the ABL? Am mostly into movies, but is it possible to watch ice-hockey or skiing for an hour for example? Or dark stretches in GoT? My only concern really.
i am sitting on the fence bethween this 65 “ z85 and the samsung s90d. is the s90d worth the extra cash( 300€)? my usage: movies and streaming, no gaming in a bright room.thanks
Columbo! Love columbo! If a tv doesnt upscale that im finished. Brian I used to sell sooo many Panasonics back in the 90s as a tv salesman....it was really all about Sony trinitron and Panasonic!
Do you think in the 90s they were saying, "Look at the natural tones on Robert Falk's face. That dingy raincoat has never looked better on the other TV brands." 🤣
Hi Brian. If you already had a sound system at home, would you bother to buy the Panasonic oled with the sound speaker attached to the tv or would you buy the one that doesn't have this. Is there a big difference in picture quality?
@@Buzza235 I have the U8N with 2.1.2. It's ok and TV speakers never produce excellent quality anyway. My TV doesn't play well with it's HDMI eARC port connected to my Vizio soundbar. No TV reviewer never does a sound test with a soundbar connected to them. Does Panasonic have an HDMI problem, if that is how you plan to connect a separate audio system? Nobody, I think knows. Say it does happen at least like me, you got better TV speakers to default too. eARC is great, except it isn't when the TV software wants to stop making the CEC handshake connection. Like on Hisense it won't let you connect eARC unless CEC is turned and eARC must be turned on too.
@scottivlow9962 I asked because I've got a separate sound system. And I want to know if if the top range Panasonic oled has better spec picture quality wise or if it's just because it's got the speaker the included speaker built in to the TV.
I went for the panasonic 65hz2000 a few yrs ago 1st panel made with heatsink... unfortunately the flagship/master panels have the atmos built in but it's one of them things you may kick yourself for if you didn't... I have a surround setup so don't really use the speakers... I bought my daughter a phillips ambilight oled it's great but something about the panasonics is so much more lifelike and cinematic... extensive picture settings...
Quick question: I can’t find much of any visuals on the internet on having your oled on a wall painted a deep black color. I was wondering if you had any experience? Would it be same or worth the $20 on paint? Great content as always Brian!
@@JBlakeS23 I have watched a lot of home theater videos and there a lot of set ups with black walls generally because they need the room to be pitch black. You can try using black sound panels that way if you later hate the black walls you can change out the panel and having to repaint a wall.
Thanks for your reply. . I have just bought 2 weeks ago one of those TVs, I will comment on which one after seeing your presentation. Have I made the right decision, although they are both good of course, I will watch with interest.
Brian please...I finally have saved enough money. What should i buy? LG c4, g4, Sony B8 of Panasonic? Need 65 size 🙏 Thank you for your work for us. Greetings from Poland 🎄
This year Panasonic oleds arent that good. -Extrem flickering with ps5 -Flickering from dark to bright scenes. -Permanent disconnection from the internet. -when you put a film on pause after 3 minutes the tv start the film on his own -sometimes you have a eound without a picture or a picture without the sound. Panasonics service team told me that oanasonic have a lot of problems with the new chipset. One example is harry potter 5 and 6 in hdr10+ 4k on prime. The tv hasnt black bars even you put the blacklevels on -8🤦 I returned 2 of my panasonics 😂

Hi , How good did you think the up-scaling worked ? Not all feed is high definition .
Excellent review my brother. Panasonic is the only OLED tv that I would even consider replacing my C3 with. Glad to see them back in the US.
Thank you as always brother!
Aside from HDR and DV is it the most accurate TV vs Z95 A95L and G4? How is motion?

The Z95A is an MLA oled and is worth the price difference over the Z85A above and beyond the sound system

Hisense sent out a Google TV OTA Security Patch. The latest update is now July.
so the motion is good on the z85a, did you notice any stuttering? I am looking at picking up the z90a in the next couple of days. Thanks.
Vincent did a test in my opinion z95a motion was weak then again it's hard to notice motion in 30fps RUclips
does Panasonic make 77 in oled?
They do however it wasn't released on the US. You'll definitely see larger sizes this year at CES
Panasonic Z85A or Sony Bravia 8?
