I saw this model several times but it didn't touch me but after seeing your review I got so involved with it. n' finally I bought this classi cool one. Excellent review Bruce...
Yeah! Thats a gorgeous watch for so affordable price. I love your video review where u have those super close up shots and video of the watch. This is what I hope other reviewer should do. Keep up the great job! Thanks.
I bought a Bambino V4 a month or so ago. I got the gray sunburst dial with rose gold hands and applied markers. I love this watch: what a bargain at $130!
I own this Watch and its gorgeous I have a large wrist so the proportion is spot on. I did change the strap to HIRSCH DUKE BLACK ALLIGATOR which comes in 21mm and for me its a big improvement over the stock strap. One of the few watches I've had complement from strangers on. Thanks for the video
Got exactly this model for around 130 USD from creationwatches a couple of months ago...gorgeous watch, very great accuracy straight from the factory (
I own this beautiful watch along with it's blue counterpart. Both are absolutely stunning but this gray model is unique. Along with my Version 2 cream dial/blue hand Bambino, they are my go-to dress watches. Interestingly, they are among my most inexpensive watches! Long Island Watch still has these available for $159 at the time of this comment.
Thanks! I shot a lot of this one in the evening at a local library outdoor space. The lighting was ideal. Normally my iphone has a real tough time in low light
Love these watches. I used to have a Seiko 5 that was 37mm. It was way too small for my taste, it looked nice but the size put me off allot. I own the V3 G2 and V4 G2 in blue. The medium size of 40.5 and 42mm look perfect for me. I'm a skinny person but I like something that doesn't appear to be a woman's watch on my wrist. Sadly allot of 37mm and smaller sized watches give that appearance.
Hey thx for the nice video. Better ad the wristsize. In my eyes 21mm bandwidth is related to the large 40.5mm diameter. 20mm would not look harmonic in online shops. Before buying buyers should think that for dresswatches 38mm may be more suitable for some buyers. Grey dial is very nice, no lumen on the dials is quite tolerable. The hands could be a bit more elegant in my eyes. But for that money a clear "buy" in my eyes.
Mine came today, $130.00, I knew the issues with the band sizes and quality of the leather, the band didn't seem as bad as what others have said. Also, posting like 14 months after your post. I'm starting to see decent quality 21mm bands on Amazon. This isn't going to be an every day watch, but something to wear when I get dressed up. I agree is is beautiful watch and the price can't be beat for the price. I guess the new Timex's are in the same class and a bit more expensive. I do trust Orients automatic movements over what what the Timex may or may not be. Unless one wants to go quartz, or pay dedication ton more money, you're not going to get any thing better, To me Orient is the poor step child to Seiko (of which I am almost certain is the same company, or some independent division) and Citizen.
Thanks for the professional and informative reviews. This is a very interesting dress watch, I would consider adding a deployant clasp to the supplied leather strap. I know these Bambinos have the odd 21mm lug width, but what is the strap width at the buckle?
I got mine for $100 : D I only wear it every so often when I'm asked to wear a suit at the office, so I'm not worried at all about the scratches. The strap however... Well it really does suck haha. Mine started to crack from the first time I wore it. I'm looking to replace it with a HadleyRoma strap and one of those amazon deployant clasps.
Great watch for that quality. Major downgrade, as you said is the 21mm lug, you don't find any strap in this size, I was so frustrated looking for 23mm last year. I always change the strap and replace the pin buckle with deployment one. Unfortunately I will not buy it because of these issues. If it was 41mm case and 22 lug would be great!
I bought the Gen 2 Ver 2 with creamy (yellow) dial and blue hands. I'm worried that it looks too old for me since I'm 27 years old. Am I too young to wear vintage-looking watches? I'm looking for comments on that.
Ah the Bambino -- what a great series of watches! I admire these mightily but alas, I'll never own one because I simply don't have any place to wear a dress watch anymore. When I first starting working in the corporate world, I had to wear a suit every single day. A thin dress watch would have been greatly appreciated, but I was uneducated in all things horological and wore a $25 Swatch. That gave way to the "business casual" dress code (slacks and long-sleeved button down Oxford shirt). That evolved to khakis and a polo shirt. And lately, it's just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. The big question is other than doctors and lawyers and funeral directors, does anyone need a dress watch anymore? Still, I think the Bambino is a fantastic bargain and for those budding professionals above who need an elegant dress watch on the cheap, the Orients are really hard to beat.
Agreed. I wear a dress shirt for just a few hours every week sadly. That's why I am drawn most toward divers and other sports pieces. Its a fun one for sure though!
Lee K I work in wealth management and still wear a suit daily. My datejust 1601 36mm , Nomos Orion 35mm and Seiko 5 snkl 35mm are daily work watches. In my world everyone wears a suit....sadly not everyone wears a watch..
Yeah William, there are certainly some professions that still wear formal clothing. But they are shrinking and I wouldn't be surprised if in the next twenty years they disappear altogether. I attended a town hall just last week with my US congressman. What was he wearing? Jeans and short-sleeved button down shirt. I was sad when I gave all my nice suits to Goodwill after holding on to them for years and years without being worn. Even when I go to funerals or weddings, over half the event-goers are wearing dress-down clothing -- something that was unheard of just a couple of decades ago.
So true.... I was at a wedding two weekends ago where grown men were wearing ball caps. But you're right besides wearing it to work daily the only time I wear a suit is to weddings , funerals and anniversary dinners LOL...... the wife likes me in a suit. Great looking watch I just still think it's a little big for my taste. I have one watch over 40 mm that's my Sinn 104
I bought this exact watch a couple months ago for around $110. It's fantastic in person, however the straps are terrible indeed. I'm planning on buying new ones as soon as I get a chance, I'll try to squeeze some 22mm straps onto it.
@@caporretto They didn't quite squeeze in, I had to trim the ends. First I filed it with an emery board, and then I used a sharp knife to clean it up. It was a lot of trial and error, but it didn't really take that long. You have to take your time though, to make sure you don't trim too much, and to make sure it's an even trim. Good luck! ; D PS: It does look waaaay better now, I have it on a grey suede strap for a more casual look, and a smooth leather strap for a more formal one.
@@Supertomiman that's very smart, I will definitely try that, as I am planning to go for the white as I already have the grey one and the black bambini, the strap will work on all of them so had to do the job once. I am pretty precise so it would be fun doing it. Do you suggest any straps brand? Thanks for taking the time to reply.
@@caporretto I used The Sydney Strap Co. myself, because they were the only ones I could find with s 22mm suede strap at the time. But there are other good brands like Hadley Roma or Fluco that aren't that expensive.
@@Supertomiman that's great, I will take notes on the brands and see what I can finnd. I am in italy at the moment I will see if I can find anything that suits my needs here, I will keep you posted. Thanks a lot for your info.
I have bought a Bambino, Arabic numbers, champagne dial, small second. I bought it as a beater watch. What I absolutely destest is that silly date window. It is too small. You will need an aparatus to read microforms / mircofiche with. The date window is garbage and destroys the dail because it has not really a function.
I love this watch but at 40mm, it looks huge with that expansive dial. Even the 38mm Nomos watches and the Hamilton Intra-matic feel too big. If Orient had a 36mm model, I would all over it!
I own this and wear it on a Horween shell cordovan strap. It does not wear large at all. I have been looking at an Orion 38mm, and that watch wears much larger. Now, I am a big dude, but I do not wear big watches (I love 38-40mm). This watch wears just fine so long as you do not have tiny wrists.
The way you showcase it and the light you use this is the best video I've seen that shows it's qualities.
Your macro shots are so very sweet. Also love your laugh. Your excitement about these watches is contagious.
I saw this model several times but it didn't touch me but after seeing your review I got so involved with it. n' finally I bought this classi cool one. Excellent review Bruce...
I love the distortion created by the crystal and a great color.
MrBacchus18 for sure
Now this is a stunning watch
The dial looks very rich and exquisite!
Putting out some great content as of late, keep it coming!
cyclepath78 thanks!
Yeah! Thats a gorgeous watch for so affordable price. I love your video review where u have those super close up shots and video of the watch. This is what I hope other reviewer should do. Keep up the great job! Thanks.
Thanks, I use a clip on macro lens on my phone. Its cheap and works very well
Bambino pretty much rules bang for buck dress watch in this price point.
I bought a Bambino V4 a month or so ago. I got the gray sunburst dial with rose gold hands and applied markers. I love this watch: what a bargain at $130!

That is an awesome pairing, thanks for sharing!
Wish it was less than 38mm and had a 20mm lug width
I wish the overall hand-set would be longer, otherwise I love that watch face color, size , casing and crystal.
Thank you Bruce. I purchased mine from Amazon. $159.38 all in.
40mm is quite big for this type of watch I believe. But the dial and the dome looks great!
Grey one does it for me, reminds me of an Omega Geneva. Great vid many thanks👍
Thanks for the review Bruce. I was inspired and got a hold of this model, great recommendation..... it's a stunning watch!
Got exactly this model for around 130 USD from creationwatches a couple of months ago...gorgeous watch, very great accuracy straight from the factory (
I would love to try a star classic someday. Have a feeling I would like it even more than these value bambinos. Guten Tag!
Convinced me to purchase. Thanks for sharing, Bruce!

G’day Bruce love you videos very concise with beautiful footage in natural light great macro, and on the wrist shots 👍
Great video! Your natural light shots are amazing :)
Thanks! I shot a lot of this one in the evening at a local library outdoor space. The lighting was ideal. Normally my iphone has a real tough time in low light
I like yours videos, excellent light, excellent shots, good quality
Have this time piece and it seems to be well built. Thanks for the video.
I swear to you, I just ordered this watch after watching this review. I have never done that before.
I ordered Orient 'Bambino Open Heart' looks cool! :)
I compare between colour but after i see this review i decided
This is my new beautiful baby 😍
2nd that.
Eu comprei um no dia 1 de Agosto de 2024 e para já estou contente espero ter sorte com o meu Relógio Bambino
Ordered one. I can't wait! LOVING the grey color dial.

Just ordered this wooooooo!
Super cool time piece.
Just ordered after watching this video on Amazon for $120 usd 🤑👍
I'm spoilt It's gorgeous but I have an original Cocktail time and there is nothing in a dress watch that can beat it in my opinion
My next vid is going to be a side by side with two presage cocktails :)
Nice fellow Bruce ... Look forward to it :) Are you going to include my SARB065 ?
No just the new releases
Sad face :(
The SARB065 is nice, but this is really a different watch. It slides under the cuff and is more understated (the cocktail screams for attention).
on my wishlist
I have this watch on a Horween shell cordovan strap. It looks great.

Great review. Will it suitable as daily watch in business casual environment?
I got the gen 1 with no manual wind. is that still good and durable? or should I just sell it back and find the gen 2 with manual wind??
Great video. Lovely watch. Thanks.
Tim Waters thanks Tim
Excellent review!
I'm looking for exactly this watch with no date window and a steel bracelet. Do they exist.
Wow beautiful baby
After reviewing i make order now
Thanks pro
great video, subscribed
I bought the Gen 2 Ver 2 with creamy (yellow) dial and blue hands. I'm worried that it looks too old for me since I'm 27 years old. Am I too young to wear vintage-looking watches? I'm looking for comments on that.
I have the 1st Gen. Great time piece. I get a lot of compliments on the slate colored dial. For some reason feels small on my 7 3/4" wrist though :(

I wear my AC0000CA on a 20mm Zulu. Never owned a suit or a tie. If you like it, buy it and wear it.
Would you wear this gray dial version on a smart casual/ busienss casual outfit?
the water resistant thing on the dial is a big no no for me. Especially on a dressy no.
It can be considerate like a everyday watch? I’m worried about the protruding glass...
I bought this exact watch a couple months ago for around $110. It's fantastic in person, however the straps are terrible indeed. I'm planning on buying new ones as soon as I get a chance, I'll try to squeeze some 22mm straps onto it.

Make a review for bambino version 4
Great video !!
can you please let us know what is the reference of this beautiful peace ?
thanks! FAC0000CA0 is the reference number.
I wonder how Orient manage to price their watches so competitively....and with such file quality.
109.99 on mass drop right now.
Is £110 for a Bambino V3 Gen 2 a good deal?
Rondox i think it is, I don’t seem to find a better price anywhere. Which colour were you after?
this or the blue sunburst ?? which will be more versatile
I prefer my gen 2 bambino with a cream dial with roman numerals and a fantastic blue color hands.
Nice! That one is a sharp version
I got that one as well
I saw that, and if I get another dress watch, may add it to my collection. Sorry for the late reply but my watch came today.
The onion crown on that piece is very nice!
I have this watch but I want a strap to dress it down. Any ideas?
The Bambino's legendary status would skyrocket even more if they reduced the diameter.
So true
Just ordered one at creation watches for $128
very nice!
Everything about this is perf except for the branding... I much prefer the plain Orient spell out on their quartz models
Nice!!
Which is the best from orient bambino
Hey How much meters water resist has this beautiful watch?????
30 metres
Nice

👍
whats your wrist size?
I cant even find a store that sends this watch to europe. Anyone knows one that is legit not fake or a copy.
Netoj14 seriouswatches.com they ship from the netherlands. I got mine from there and im very happy
danny0591 hallo Mede Nederlander
v3 vs v4 which one to buy my wrist is about 6.5 inch

Cocktail Time Killer
21mm lugs make no sense as it's not as if Seiko is trying to up-sell a higher end OEM strap. Boggles the mind.
DAVE Francis very much agree
Jut bought one in 2020 for only 80dollars
21mm wide lugs.... omg!
Ok, but why dial and hands with the same color? I find it kinda stupid...
So short!
Scratches on the glass and strange sized watch straps....FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS.
orient leather straps are so bad not even wearable but the bambino is ok for beginners i guess
I love this watch but at 40mm, it looks huge with that expansive dial. Even the 38mm Nomos watches and the Hamilton Intra-matic feel too big. If Orient had a 36mm model, I would all over it!
Totally agree....if this was at 36mm I would be interested. My Nomos Orion at 35mm is a perfect size dress watch.
James Duffy nomos is on the list to try out for sure
I own this and wear it on a Horween shell cordovan strap. It does not wear large at all. I have been looking at an Orion 38mm, and that watch wears much larger. Now, I am a big dude, but I do not wear big watches (I love 38-40mm). This watch wears just fine so long as you do not have tiny wrists.
That's fair! I have a narrow and knobby 6.75-inch circumference wrist so 38mm is the upper limit for expansive dial dress watches.
May want to consider the reissue Timex Marlin available at Long Island Watch, 60s mad men dress watch and 34mm
