this concept just fits her soooo much, I liked the song since the first listen, we had vocals and dancing, which are two of many skills that seulgi has, she's an ace for sure, she deserves all the support we can give

I mean the song is just so addicting. I just kept hearing it all day. It just got into my head real bad. I mean the prechorus is heaven and the chorus dayummnnnnnn.It's like she's hypnotizing us with her voiceeee.
Idk why are people complaining about the mv. Just because the trailer was mindblowingly amazing, doesnt mean the mv was bad. Like ya it raised expectations, but the mv was still great on its own, and better than so many other mvs out there.Should they have not released a great trailer instead to please fans then? Sigh kpop fans are so hard to please.

I know this is the first mv I have seen with so much simplicity but gives such a powerful impact..better than those so called same kpop mv with a lot of backgrounds
I really like the MV. It doesn’t go for flashy crazy sets for the sake of it, but everything flows together with purpose. The monochromatic backdrops are obviously really cheap but it just fits so well that those scenes just wouldn’t have the same impact without it. They also didn’t compromise on the cinematography. You can literally stop the video at any point and frame it on a wall. Except for the CGI part, SM just kinda folded there
Simplicity gives more power than over budget CGI. It was definitely intentional because the song is also simple and clean in terms of instrumental, but that gives more definition to the concept and her aura. It’s actually a very clever idea and it was executed really well.

This debut is fuckin amazing, Seulgi is one of my favourite idols the way she sings and dance is incredible. This song is carry by Seulgi voice and tone so dark and seductive. I just love the concept it fits her so good and the MV is sooooo fuckin good men.
Btw this song hit different when you know the lyrics and meaning is great. Also that high note is amazing even better when she sings "do you just love the pain?" aggghh is disgusting how good she sounds so god damn good.

But I just watched earlier her explanation about the 1st trailer. She said that it's about her album which makes sense 'coz first thing popped in my mind was Deadman runnin.
Overall, I enjoyed Seulgi's MV. I love her acting, choreography as well as her voice.

The song is so goood! I agree with you about the MV tho, the trailer raised our expectations so much because it was so well-produced. I would've also loved to see a continuation of the trailer on the MV. But besides the MV, the song itself was fire!!! Also all the B-sides are so good!!! Dead Man Runnin' was written by Seulgi, and tbh I think it's worthy to be a title track as well! Love your reaction!

the pre-chorus feels so good because it was a contrast from the 1st verse, the 1st verse made us feel vulnerable for changes in the incoming pre-chorus.
the second chorus feels good because it had the whistle at the first part of it while the 1st chorus didn't had that in the first part.

When you said some people were saying it's not what's in the trailer.... some people don't understand the difference between an album trailer and the MV trailer. Anyone who was disappointed about this debut needs to reset their perspective and listen again. Because it's incredible! AND THE ALBUM is just as amazing, even better songs imo. No skips. All great!
Seulgi has said that the album trailer represents a reality, and that person goes into a dream where they face the inner battle of good and evil. I feel like the figure we see at the beginning and end in the white dress is that person in reality of the album trailer.
Quite honestly.... I'm not sure what says power more than Seulgi's vocals and her presence in this video - maybe just because it has minimal instrumental at times and she sings a wide variety of espression in this song? It has a great narrative feeling throughout. I can imagine that for folks who saw Monster they never saw Red Velvet members go THAT DIRECTION really - it was a new level. But this song and album are soooo artistic and she is featured so perfectly. I have a feeling when you listen to the album you might think another song would be a better received title track in the way you were talking about.... but - I loved this and Seulgi chose it so I think it's perfect for her. :)

This is a fantastic reaction and it's really fun watching a fan watch their bias. Seulgi destroyed this. Also you are not alone in loving the Doubleugi disappearing transition.
This type of song isn't my type to listen to but it still a masterpiece no matter what. It suits her so well. The performance, acting, voice and visual are all top notch. She'd definitely can do well as a solo artist in the future if she choosen to go to that route.

The song is soooo good! I just wished they went w a story-line mv like peek-a-boo. I mean maybe bc they wanted to focus on seulgi being an ace and made it a performance-like mv. But i think it was also due to the album trailer so i had those expectations. However, 10000/10 song and album !!! Best releases of 2022 💗 i wish people would tune in more and actually have taste.

I always preferred a darker R&B velvety song so this album suits me to every cell in my body, especially Dead Man Runnin and Crown is seriously chillin and growing in me. I dunno if Korean would like this as much but am happy she choose her own path and release this kind of dark velvety song and album. Btw.. after few days now i started whistling that thingy without me knowing it.
