My soul is melting... I realize a mere machine and the intelligent human behind it. It sounds so nice when you operate it. This is what the engineers wanted to hear from their work.
Memory presets and tuning are nothing but market trinkets......
I used try and play, but 10 years ago. My own
CS80 was in a box for over 20 years.

It sounds like it's trying to communicate, personification. It spoke for a decade of music, even though , Eddie Jobson, brought it to life in the late 70's. Thank you, Scott

Beautiful, lush, organic... the CS80 sounds incredible here, no wonder it is so revered. This is also a lovely ambient piece, it has a nostalgic, timeless quality to it... thanks for sharing your work.

What a show man, what a show! A masterfully piece.
Although there are so many damn good synthesizers created, the sound of the CS 80 is made for eternity.

That synth is the best ever, those sounds come from heaven, who had the worst idea in the Yamaha company to stop making this piece of art, the should reborn this synth and make 1 million so everybody can buy it. Nice video.

Well, that is the first time in a long time the hairs on the back of my neck have stood up. Analogue synths have such a unique and warm sound and this sounds as if it came straight back out of a soundtrack in the late 70's early 80's. Your videos are the best analogue synth demo's on RUclips and I also like your photography.
    Thanks for sharing your work.

Incredible sounds from the CS80, this is true vintage analog. Your performance is equally as emotional as the synth is beautiful, fantastic ambient soundscapes. Thanks so much for posting this video, it is moving and inspiring. Was this all recorded live off the floor or did you layer the sounds in a DAW over time?

    Hey, Scott!
Tell us the story of how you acquired your Yamaha CS-80! They're tough to find, and even harder to buy! I would be very interested in this, as I love a good "how I got my _____" story.

Whenever I think I've made my Alpha Juno sound good (which isn't often), I always find a video that blows it away, completely and utterly.
Please can I come over, just to touch the Yamaha? :)

At last! A synthesist who doesn't let a sequencer do most of the donkey work & simply noodle with some parameters! I'm getting very bored of music which is largely produced on 'autopilot'. This is both original AND good!
