I feel so blessed to own one! My dream came true :)
It's a Magical instrument !
You must be in heaven.
My soul is melting... I realize a mere machine and the intelligent human behind it. It sounds so nice when you operate it. This is what the engineers wanted to hear from their work.
Memory presets and tuning are nothing but market trinkets......
I used try and play, but 10 years ago. My own
CS80 was in a box for over 20 years.
King of all synthesizers
Amen/ Scott. You deserve more views. Your video is fine. It helps to better understand the good old tools and their capabilities. Thank you, Serge, Russia. Let there be no war.
think i just starting bleeding from the heart.....amazing sound
Beutiful piece of music.
It sounds like it's trying to communicate, personification. It spoke for a decade of music, even though , Eddie Jobson, brought it to life in the late 70's. Thank you, Scott
CS-80 and Prague. Two of my favorite things! Thanks, this was delightful!
Partially Berlin too.
Beautiful, lush, organic... the CS80 sounds incredible here, no wonder it is so revered. This is also a lovely ambient piece, it has a nostalgic, timeless quality to it... thanks for sharing your work.
synth4ever Thanks for your kind words!
Absolutely beautiful!
What a show man, what a show! A masterfully piece.
Although there are so many damn good synthesizers created, the sound of the CS 80 is made for eternity.
That synth is the best ever, those sounds come from heaven, who had the worst idea in the Yamaha company to stop making this piece of art, the should reborn this synth and make 1 million so everybody can buy it. Nice video.
The instrument is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
out of earth sounds ... jeeezz how beautiful !
I can pretend with my Mk1 Trident.
This is so inspirational.
A true talent you are my friend.
Best CS80 playing I have heard. Well other than the Big V himself. Absolutely beautiful stuff your doing with that wonderful machine. Don't ever let it go.
This sounds amazing! Great job! Thanks for playing on the CS80. I've always loved that sound since the first time I heard Vangelis play one. Please make some more videos using the CS80. Please! :)
Still just a mesmerizing song.
More, more, more! I need more! Please, please, please! This is wonderful!
film and sounds just awesome
Amazing. Came looking for a CS-80 demo, and now I've found one of my favorite videos. Great job.
Thank you for uploading this; it's beautiful. I've travelled around Europe a few times in bands, and have developed a deep appreciation for the variety of cultures and people, and the history of the different countries. I found this montage very moving.
Well, that is the first time in a long time the hairs on the back of my neck have stood up. Analogue synths have such a unique and warm sound and this sounds as if it came straight back out of a soundtrack in the late 70's early 80's. Your videos are the best analogue synth demo's on RUclips and I also like your photography.
Thanks for sharing your work.
very wonderful!!! the synth, the music and the video!!! respect
This is real art - thanks!
Your sounds were very well crafted, making your CS80 sounding so good and really different from all the classic sounds we normally hear from this synth. Well done! Keep up the good work.
Damn Count that was off the the chain, and ambient as hell.i hope sure as fuck u put more "CS80" videos up,just to remind these reason virtual weenie punks what a Real Synthesizers sounded like.
Wow I really really need to get a 2016.
Just wow...
This video made my day. Very well put together an almost nostalgic atmosphere. More of this please.
No reason to 'dislike' this.. Good job man.
Very nice! Thank you!
I love it.
7:36... stunning atmosphere
Excellent!!! 5 Stars!
Most expressive synth ever made, PERIOD. My god I want so badly to use profanity here but I'm not gonna do it because I've got ffff... frigging class and RESPECT for this god damn synth. All my best, you made an amazing video with spectacular music. F-wording fantastic!
just stumbled onto your video - I love it. You and your CS-80 make great ambient music together.
have you finished thinking yet, because it is the best synth ever created.
Very, very nice !
Brilliant!
very nice all around. the sounds, the video, all top notch
Unbelievably Well Done !
Video and Track are excellent
Thank You.
very nice indeed
Great work,great sounds.R
Incredible sounds from the CS80, this is true vintage analog. Your performance is equally as emotional as the synth is beautiful, fantastic ambient soundscapes. Thanks so much for posting this video, it is moving and inspiring. Was this all recorded live off the floor or did you layer the sounds in a DAW over time?
Powerful
Great Sounds!,thanx.
That was insanely beautiful. Some of the sounds you used reminded me of Tomita and his big Moog Modular. really good stuff. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful work!!!
I know Brian Eno used that synth a lot. Background sound in one of my favorite compositions 'Lost In The Humming Air' he create on this one. Nice video btw :)
Nice footage, very ethereal.
Man, this is major....
What a beast !!! to bad they are very problematic for repairs. techs hate them but we all love the cs80.... nice video
They are fine as long as they stay in one place.
Awesome
Lovely track, i hope someday being able to afford that synth, meanwhile enjoying the vst version.
@CountlovE thank you
Top demo ...merci...🤗

Excellent video and awesome sounds, nice dude :)
Makes me want to fly...
Amazing stuff mate *****
I wish I was alive during this golden era of analog synths...all I get to use today are samples and romplers :(
And now behringer has saved us!
cool Song and also this Clip !
Great Work
Regards
Ralf (AKA RAGE)
Holy wow
This is great :)
@CoolColJ24 The lens and aperture size is very important. I don't use zoom lenses. Everything in this video was shot on a 50mm 1.4 aperture prime lens.
Your are listening to an endangered species... it must be kept intact for future generations.
@Neuronaluniverse It's a REVOX PR99 MKII
Hey, Scott!
Tell us the story of how you acquired your Yamaha CS-80! They're tough to find, and even harder to buy! I would be very interested in this, as I love a good "how I got my _____" story.
Adam
This is amazing. Truly perfect, with the footage to match.
Whenever I think I've made my Alpha Juno sound good (which isn't often), I always find a video that blows it away, completely and utterly.
Please can I come over, just to touch the Yamaha? :)
Scott, could you do some new CS-80 videos, they're lovely. Thanks
@CountlovE thanks
Amazing instrument. Funny enough, most of the original units were sold to professional musicians in the late 70s... and now it seems that many of these are owned by nerds, Vangelis freaks and instrument collectors
Cuando. Yegara. A mexico
@intercorni A Nikon D90 with a 50mm 1.4 lens.
Uh Oh, Somebody got a CasioTone in their stocking last Christmas..... CS-80's are delivered by truck only. :D
2:16 !!

What camera was used?
Luv it. One of about the 500 club now?
Lovely, in almost every way . . . . if only the audio capture wasn't off the camera mic . . . .
It wasn't captured from a camera mic. This was recorded from a Prism Orpheus. Wasn't sure if you were trolling or being serious. Thanks!
have you CS 80 in working condition now? I beg you to take new videos
PapunaOfficial Hope to when I get some time.
At last! A synthesist who doesn't let a sequencer do most of the donkey work & simply noodle with some parameters! I'm getting very bored of music which is largely produced on 'autopilot'. This is both original AND good!
Do you do films?
@daylonfaine no.
Ist eine der besten Maschinen überhaupt, nicht? Wie bist Du überhaupt zu diesem Prachtexemplar gekommen?
