    It's in the trees!
    It's coming!
Strange how coincidence creeps up on us.
In returning to your tale, after a brief pause, I reverted to my RUclips history to reload Dark Water, and noticed that the last thing that I had listened to was The Hounds of Love.
"So"? What of it? Nothing unusual in that.
Then I hear, " it's coming for me through the trees." Or something very like to it.
    Strange phenomena maybe?
Keep letting the weirdness in Tony.
    Thanks.

I love this one. Excellent folk horror with all the right ingredients - new vs old, mindless horror of WW1 echoed in the ancient horror of the mindless slug that doesn't even have to devour you in order to utterly destroy you, debts of brotherhood, sacrifice and the gift of life and all that. Oh, and of course the darkness itself.

That must have been loads of fun, running about in the woods, but knowing there was someone there, on a mission. I used to go to science fiction conventions and we did "runs" (as in Logan's Run) in costume, but that was like a glorified hide and seek. Out in the woods would be much more terrifying.

As I was listening, I thought this is a Lovecraft/Machen tale set in the magical landscape of the glorious Welsh March and quite my favourite setting .... Wonderful. Early Phil Rickman, even, and awash with atmosphere? I'm a keen fan of this wild part of the country & been too long since I visited.

You are as great a writer as you are a narrator, Tony. You are full of surprises. I really enjoy your channel. I do have a question. Have you ever considered allowing the library of Congress in the United States to use any audio recordings you have of your books for the national library for the blinded disabled? Also are your books in audio version. I think I’ve mentioned to you before that I happened to be blind and so I listen to books rather than read a text. Would really love to get my hands on more of your stuff. I am a retired 72 year-old with a fixed income, so I really cannot join a channel that requires payment. OK if you can give me that information that would be great and I think would be great if you could get your stories into the library in audio form for the blind and disabled not only in the US, but I know Canada has that probably Great Britain does as well and other countries. I think your writing style is just fine, but honestly, couldn't give credence to their particular choice of worship.

These are the worst long drawn out boring so called stories that I have EVER TRIED MY BEST TO LISTEN TO. The powers of descriptive things are the best they have but other than that , they’re dead and its painful to even try to listen to. Horrible. Never again. Try BITESIZED STORIES instead. No comparison.

I'm sorry you didn't like it. It seems you tried others of my stories too and didn't like them either. Bitesized Audio is great, I agree. Glad you like them

Nonatie, if one doesn’t like what’s being served up, might I be so bold as to suggest that one should quietly, without a fuss, simply leave the table(?)
