I rescued a wolf-hybrid at 3 mos. old- the "system" was going to put down. I had him for 15 years- the most intelligent, gentle "dog" I ever met. Everyone fell in love with him. He looked like a wolf, acted different than a dog, howled like a wolf- loved the show "Law & Order" cos of the wolf howl at the end. I finally had to put him down due to his severe arthritis. But if all dogs go to heaven - my Toby is leading their pack!

I watched "Living with wolves" About 3 or 4 times now over the course of the past year. I absolutely love to watch this movie with Jim and Jamie living among the wolves. And more to the point, I absolutely love and adore wolves. They are a peaceful animal and only among them selves to establish and reinforce pack hierarchy do they display aggression. I find it horrible that mean humans that take their hatred out on wolves are actually allowed to hunt them in the manner explained by Jamie, and I hope people will become more informed on wolves and vote against this type of rule management.
Wolves must be allowed to stay on the endangered species list and must be allowed to live. Furthermore all killing of wolves should be illegalized and penalized.

Missouri Conservation, please take notes. With black bear and mountain lions reintroducing themselves naturally, wolves would be a great addition to the state. If bears and cougars are signs that Missouri can support large predators then its about time to start considering reintroducing wolves.

Wolves are beautiful creatures and should not deserve to be hunted nor any other animal should be hunted. I'm glad Jim and Jamie are showing us this. would you want to be hunted? would you want to be shot? would you want to be killed and your family howling and searching for you? all hunters please answer these questions. KILLING ANIMALS IS NOT A SPORT.

Hunting any endangered species is awful. I think hunting is okay, as you wouldn't exist right now if your ancestors didn't hunt. And knowing directly where your meat source is coming from is a pro as well. As long as it does not cause extirpation of the hunted species and is well regulated hunting is completely natural. In fact, most species on this planet hunt :)

Thank you Jim and Jamie - more I watched these eye-opener documentaries, more I wonder why the human species ever came about? what was the purpose of us existing. It's almost like the human species is a result of an experiment that's gone wrong. The overall human consciousness was contaminated at some point in history, and it's only getting worse and worse. As humanity's greed and inconsideration roll over the Earth, it is becoming apparent that if we were to be removed as a species from the equation of Nature, the ecosystem would still balance itself out. Based on the current state of the overall human consciousness world-wide, I'd rather die as a wolf than live as a human.

Here in Utah our 1st legislative session of 2013 gave $300,000.00 to a lobbyist. His job was to lobby for a law banning wolves from being re-introduced to the endangered species list ever again. He had gotten the same amount of $ in 2012 for the same reason. This is $600,000.00 for 1 man to lobby to ban wolves, in the future, in a state that doesn"t even have any wolves in it. This lobbyist also had no oversite what so ever. He didn't even have to say how he intended to use the funds.

Concern for the omega expressed here and in “Living With Wolves”, but just as there’s some inner quality that makes the alpha the alpha perhaps the same is true for the omega, and maybe he’s just fine with his place in the pack. We personify his situation and feel sorry, but it’s possible he’s quite happy.

I am learning about the wolves. Wolves are beautiful creatures. Thank you for sharing us truth about Wolves. Because some people are continuously demonizing Wolves justifying killing/ trap Wolves. I will purchase your book.
