In this episode I made a lamp out of a skateboard deck, and also painted on it! It was super easy and fun, and you should definitely try it when you're bored. Make sure when you're working on electric projects that you're following safe procedures, and never work on live wires that are plugged in.

Cool board. You cut the common wire tho. Need to connect the black and red wires together on one and just the white on the other.
Hey Thanks so much cause I was having issues with my lighting. Each bulb was woking but only diagonally. I connected the wires like you said and it totally helped out (DO NOT CUT THE WHITE WIRE YOU NEED IT) ! Thanks again man!

It's actually just a flag pole holder that I found at the hardware store hahaha

Where did you get the fixtures? And what did you use to mount it?
I found the fixtures on Amazon, they were like $9 total. Just search "double sided light bulb socket" or somethin. It's temporarily mounted right now, but I ran string through the original holes where the trucks would go, and then wrapped those strings around two nails on my wall. There's probably a better way hahaha.
I twisted my cables tight enough but the lamp won’t turn on 😢

I wired mine exactly like yours but only the opposite lights come on diagonally. 🤷🏽♂️ I even used the same light fixtures

What kind of lightbulbs do you recommend?
I used normal incandescent bulbs, but if you wanna get real aesthetic with it you could get Edison bulbs. They're those vintage looking ones, but they are more expensive.
