- Scrying is an ancient and powerful practice that can be used to strengthen our clairvoyant abilities and prepare us for deeper visionary magic like Enochian Evocations or Astral travel. This video is great for beginners and long time gazers as I cover both a cheap way to build a black mirror as well as some tips on deepening our scrying practice.

So.much better than buying a black obsidian mirror. Also, it is best to have no iron or steel. Adding a small piece of gold between the backing and the glass is a great attractor as well. Great video!

Cool. Thanks for this scrying tutorial. While I am not a (inner) visual person I am reminded to give this technique a try again (probably with the black mirror of my phone's screen).
That should work- you could also try the same technique sitting in a completely dark room and simply gaze into the darkness! I've gotten really interesting results that way - good luck!

Yes! You made a great video on Black Mirror Scrying. THANK YOU!! I learned quite a bit. I'm a little bummed though. I have this beautiful, large, oval, hanging (by old string on the back, so it makes the mirror lean top forward), 1920's mirror, with beveled glass, and a gorgeous wooden frame. I had been planning on converting that mirror into a Black, Scrying mirror, but I didn't realize that you can't paint a regular, reflective mirror black, it has to be glass. How stupid of me. I guess I could just use a regular piece of glass, but it wouldn't be the same. The original mirror has very beautiful flaws that I really love, and it really shows the age, and to replace that gorgeous, 1920's, beveled mirror with some cheap ass home depot crap-glass, it ruins the whole idea. What to do...
On another note, do you know much about Enochian Magick? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I just started studying it, and it goes so deep and intense.
Ah yeah that sounds like it would be great! If you can't remove the backing from the glass though you could try a DIY glass stain? It may not work but I know you can stain glass using mod podge and food coloring (easy to find instructions online) so you could try that with a black or dark blue food coloring?? I can't confirm though as I've never tried but that's my best suggestion. Truly you can do these techniques on anything- I personally recommend doing it in a completely dark room and just gazing into the darkness. As for enochian magic I am currently studying it working off Lon DuQuettes book and Crowleys writings. I will probably do a video soon on the Sigillum Dei Aemeth of John Dee but that will be more a history lesson than anything. Once I have gotten results that I feel are worth sharing I will do a video but I mostly focus on realms of magic I have more experience with for now. Have you done any enochian work yourself?

Can you blink when looking in the mirror?
Yes! You should be relaxed and gazing softly. You may notice images start to appear and then dissappear when you blink but it's ok- just keep practicing. If you try and keep your eyes open the whole time you'll just hyper focus on your eyes

wouldn't adding a black paper behind the glass have the same effect like with having it black with the spraycan? or not? nice vid Finch!
@seitanicgoat3194 yup I think that would work! I'm using a semi gloss paint tho so it will be more reflective. Try it and see if the paper looks good- you can always get some paint if it doesnt!
@@BlackFinch thanks for the answer! maybe the gloss paint would actually add an extra "mirror" effect, the more i think of it that is....I heard from someone that they painted an actuall mirror, ever heard of sth like that?
@seitanicgoat3194 yup I've heard about that. It seems to me that if you paint over the mirror aren't you just covering up the reflective part? Seems like you could get the same effect by painting a piece of wood or any flat surface. Never tried it though
