This remains peak Destiny to this day. Maybe even the best we’ve got from the game. It improved in many ways, but something present in this mission was lost.
Finding this as a d2 nub and exploring it with no idea about it was so much fun, this was 10/10 gaming and I feel sorry for anyone that used guides from the start.
Now that they’ve put raids and dungeons on rotation and regardless that you can acquire this gun at the tower I’d love to have quests like this put on rotation, still my favourite so far, from this sound to the aesthetics such a good mission, made the speed grind fun
They could just put exotic quest in rotation for people who don't have the exotics anyways. Only problem though is IO as an entire planet is missing now.
@@tylerm5862 i mean we dont even canonically go to venus in d2 or refight oryx they could put it as like a flashback thing like vog and kingsfall and theyve shown they can bring back lost sectors from vaulted planets so they could bring whisper and outbreak as a standalone mission
@@Kazuhira2249 That's because those raids aren't quest like whisper of the worm was where the the whisper of the worm quest had you doing things on the actual planet before you could hop into the mission. They could theoretically scrap the quest and just add a mission there but it seems useless/pointless since we can just buy it from the kiosk anyways
Actually kinda made me tear up. I started playing in *Deep* of all times, my buddy finally got me into it. I never got to do any of the older content, and was so hype when I saw this was coming back. This room in particular was just breathtaking for me. Absolute pinnacle of Destiny design, music, feel. . .love it.
rlly a shame that new players cant play the quest anymore, i start playing D2 near season of the dawn, i was doing bounties for killing taken on io, idk what the fck i do that time but a portal just spawn, i enter and tried to go the far as posible until the time end, i rlly dont know how to open the portal again, i was doing all kind of stuff trying to get back on the mision again, after like 3 hours i finally open the portal again, i go far to the portals, i discovered that when the public even starts if i kill a enemy on some places the portal just apear near the landing zone, finally after like 8 hours i finished the thing and get a very cool sniper, i was very happy and exited believing that i found some kind of secret so i go to talk with my veteran friends, friends tell me all about the mision and lore about the weapon and confirm that it used to be a secret mision, this music gives me a lot of nostalgia, i enjoyed and discovered whisper of the worm quest for my own even if all other players know the "secret" for a long time ago, this is one of my most special memories on destiny

i dont wish for whisper to come back, i do wish however to see this mission reborn as a fully fledged dungeon maybe in another planet, have "the whisper" be something you activate in the dungeon and a 25 min timer starts counting upon there you go in a totally different and harder route and at the end you fight another wormgod for another secret exotic kinda like black spindle in d1 instead of doing the dungeon normally have it be a secret in the dungeon
Question- there was a green room loop song that was so good and i cant find it now. Does anyone have this peice of music gold?? I think it was about 15 mins long?
