    A practice match is exactly like what it sounds; a practice match. To practice in a match-like setting..
    Also, fun fact, Kageyama is actually the youngest first year in the team while Hinata is the oldest..

      Oh looks like we were thinking too deep about practice matches lol we’ve never heard of schools doing practice matches with each other before
      And that’s crazy, you’d think their ages would be switched 😂

    3:41 In a tournament, if many teams are having matches in a day, usually they play up to three sets. The team to win 2 sets is the winner :)
    However, in this case, since Kageyama-Hinata-Tanaka pairing already won the first two sets, they won't be having the third set anymore since they practically already won.

      4:27 HELPPPP 😭 That's usually Kageyama's neutral face. He has this natural scowl on his face that's why most of the time, some people are intimidated by him. He also isn't good at smiling especially for pictures.

    • @SxSReacts
      @SxSReacts  Месяц назад +2

      Lol oh Kageyama.. now we wonder if we’ll get a wholesome smile out of him by the end 😅

    A practice match is also just a chance for players to learn and improve from other teams and players! Not just for exhibition but it's good to have friendly rivalry but still play as if it is a competition to see where the teams can improve or just basically observe/acknowledge how effective plays are. Practice matches are going to be a consistent thing but also hard to come by unless you have connections. Hence, what Daichi said about Takeda sensei "begging on his knees" shows that they probably don't have much connections unless they are either desperate or to an extent "beg" for it. We love and appreciate Takeda-sensei in this series. He is a REAL ONE😎😎
    Also, don't worry about side characters and stuff! ;) Let's just say this series is the best at that.

      Thanks for the insight on practice matches! We just thought the “begging on his knees” was cause it was hard to get a practice match with a top four school specifically lol
      And yes! We’ve already started noticing (being further along now) that they give a lot of love to the supporting characters 👏👏

    Haikyuu got so much people interested in volleyball, some started playing it and others became fans of the sport.
    It had a big impact in Japanese volleyball.
    PS. The mangaka was a volleyball player in high school.

    I just discovered your channel yesterday and im so glad i did! Your enthusiasm for the series is so infectious, it honestly reminds me of the classic reactions to haikyuu by the big reactors. I am particularly endeared by how you guys pause to analyze stuff cos it shows how much invested you are so i hope you guys wont ever feel self-conscious about possibly overanalyzing sometimes. it’s a relatable part of the experience.
    If you guys are already this hooked on ep5 alone, you are definitely not prepared for what this series has in store for future episodes 😎 this series is PEAK. ive watched many sports animes and haikyuu is def up there on the top

      Thank you!! 💙 We appreciate your comment so much, mainly cause we did start getting a little worried about overanalyzing lol but you’re right that it’s just part of the experience, especially when watching a show for the first time!
      Someone told us season 1 is apparently the weakest of the 4 seasons so we def have no idea what to expect 😂 but we’re super excited for it!

    The begging line is funny, but theyre specifically saying _dogeza_
    So look up some images ; knees on the ground, palms and forehead touching the ground
    (Like episode 1 of Demon Slayer/KNY, Tanjirou to Giyuu)

    "If Hinata wasn't as good as he was..." Man, sorry but no, at this point in time Hinata is absolutely terrible. He's got the physical ability and potential to be better but the only reason Hinata can do what he does is because Kageyama is incredibly good and can set the ball at the exact point in space and time for him to spike it without even looking. It's one of these rare stories where the MC isn't naturally overpowered (well, one of them at least). You gotta understand this going forward, Hinata is very bad at volleyball. Without Kageyama, I can't say I sense any potential in him.

      "Without Kageyama, I can't say I sense any potential in him", nice reference first of all.
      But you're right, Hinata is a terrible volleyball player but he's great at what he can do. Because he's the main character people will think he's naturally good at volleyball, but he only has natural athleticism which is why he can keep up with the rest. He only had himself in middle school so he never got to grow. Hinata in season 1 can't receive, he can't control where the ball goes when he hits it (on purpose anyway), he's even terrible at serving. The good thing is he can only get better and has the potential to become a monster in a professional setting. (I am a manga reader, I know where his story goes but I'm not gonna spoil anything)

      this is a very odd thing to say to people who are literally just on episode 5, like at least have this debate with someone who has finished the series already

    • @JerryO1995
      @JerryO1995 Месяц назад

      @@mauvepd it's not a debate, it's a fact, Hinata is very bad. I just wouldn't want them to go forward thinking that he's any good just because he's the MC. Maybe Haikyuu didn't do a very good job communicating this.

      @@JerryO1995let them believe whatever, this was the mindset of a lot of fans when they started reading/watching HQ, reason why certain character got a lot of hate(later season).
