Update: Apple replaced my screen shield and reinstalled it for me. This time they left the dust sticker on until it was time to put the shield on and the install came out perfect with no dust particles. Highly recommended!
I got the same screen protector when I purchased my 16PM yesterday and I think the reason you may of got dust under the shield is because the "genius" peeled the factory screen protector and then wiped it with the cloth prior to putting on the belkin screen protector. The phone is new he should of not wiped the screen prior to application.
I usually don’t spend this much on a screen protector but I did this time. The things that locked the deal for me were that they installed it and it can be replaced under belkins warranty
I had the Ultraglass installed when I got my 12pro. Its lasted 4 years with some minimal scratches. Got the ultraglass 2 for the 16pro. Hopefully lasting just as long this time aswell.
I got one for the my iPhone 14 Pro Max on launch day when I picked mine up from the Apple Store, although it’s a 1st gen Belkin UltraGlass I loved how good it looked on my phone.
I have one installed on my 16 Pro Max. I like it so far. But it has 2 big negative points. The edges are very sharp, you can feel them when you swipe from the bottom. And it gets a lot of dust on the edges. I have to clean it every day. This never happened with the ones from Spigen.
I just want something that is edge to edge. I have the ultraglass screen protector (torras twin) and it has those stupid black borders. the glass itself is nice and edge to edge but the borders kill it.
Got this installed in the store too. Have this really annoying bubble on the edge of the sides and bottom of the screen so need to get it replaced now 🙄
Nightmare installing 3rd party screen protector properly… this is worth it. Do it at Apple with their machine thingy. Just went through two Otterbox screen protectors, they do not have the proper dimensions, rainbow effect practically guarantied…
@@John.1791 none, they did it right - waited to pull off the dust sticker until the phone was in the device and then promptly applied the screen protector.
Would you say the protector is very clear? Mine seems to have a grainy effect noticeable on solid backgrounds with 16 pro max. I didn’t look at phone before they installed to know if it’s the protector or just how this model screen is. I don’t notice this effect on my 15 pro max with Belkin protector.
@@LavaChipI thought that. Unfortunately when trying to have redone at Apple Store, they weren’t able to get to adhere to edges. They said it happens on almost every one due to the curved edges. I will look for other options or try another store.
@@bcr01234I’m not sure about them quoting it happens on almost everyone. I’d expect Belkin and Apple to have collaborated on the design and how the protector should fit. Also, Apple wouldn’t be selling and applying protectors where most don’t fit well and they lift up.
Does the screen protector have sharp edges? I'm not using a case and never had and I've seen multiple threads on Reddit that mention the edges are sharp and therefore unsuitable to use without a case.

TOTALLY lame process! They just pulled a full screen sticker off from a clean room level factory. Then they start manhandling the screen. Just put the phone in the jig right from the box, pull the factory screen, and apply the protector. No wonder you have specks, LOL. I wouldn’t let those clowns touch my phone. I paid $6/3 protectors and I’ll guarantee there’s virtually zero difference to yours.
Bought the exact one, got it delivered, and totally botched it and ruined it. Had to buy Amazon one, terrible product (probably a good product, but my execution was horrible
Don't know how this one installs but I got the Spigen GlasTr Ezfit for my 16P and first try it went in perfectly. Not sure if it goes as much over the edge as this Belkin but it goes beyond the screen for sure. It's awesome, love the oleophobic coating as well, crystal clear image

Not really. I got my brand new 16P day after launch and when I peeled the factory protector there were 2 specs of dust on the screen.

How do you find the UG2 on your 16 Pro so far?

Torro case is the best. Especially the dark brown colour.
Soooo mine randomly chipped and broke at the bottom. I didn’t drop my phone. I’m now going to through warranty process.

I had mine installed in the Apple store, and it looks crystal clear and is super smooth, I can't fault the quality or installation process.
Mines super clear and no bubbles. Maybe you got a lemon or it wasn’t installed correctly

@@GrummeFar03:42 will give you a good idea of the coverage. It covers the full display screen area but stops slightly before the screen curve.

How does it look with sunglasses on? Is the screen crystal clear? No UV rainbow effect due to lamination?
