- Upon returning to Santa Fe last week, I was overwhelmed with the beauty and "Spanishness" on Americas most unique, lovely town. And while it is often thought of as more "Mexico" than "Spain" there is no arguing that its spirit and energy insisted that I go home and play Spanish music. And I think I understand it better because of Santa Fe.

Ironic really, that Segovia was so pedantic with Michael, when between the two guys, Michael is the one who when he plays, makes endorphins fire through my brain. My ears aren't lying yo, his interpretation of the songs he plays are always so authentic and sincere. I don't think Ana Vidovic plays this as well as him and I'm a big fan of her skills. Hats off to the man!
That is the best version of Granada I have ever heard, flowing and toneful.
played so emotionally.this piece has never brought me to tears before until now. thank you Michael. God where have all the genius's of the past gone. are word is a much darker place now, but for those who remind us of them.

25ish years ago I had a video of Julian Bream touring Spain and playing the Albeniz pieces. This was always my favorite. I think he sat in a church.

I am a self taught fingerstyle player and enjoy listening to others play .... especially those that are classically trained like yourself that venture into the realm of non-classical songs. I have never heard anyone achieve more tonal and instrumental excellence with their acoustic guitar recordings than you ... and you make it look so easy.

I haven't listened to that many different classical guitar players, but those that I have, have rarely tickled my interest bone very well when playing the classic pieces. Mike has a beautiful, flowing, and incredibly tasteful interpretation. I never feel like Mike is "trying" to play a piece, or that he's ever going to make a mistake, he just does it - and makes it his own.

Forget Capricho Arabe or meories of Alhambra, this one is the most beautiful and the most difficult to play, especially after being in Granada. I was pleasantly surprised that this piece was also arranged by Tarrega, the true genius, and Michael did the best rendition that I have heard so far.

All I can say is....yeah man! This is definitely it but you know that. It really takes someone whom is more than just a technician on the guitar to bring any piece of music to life. This rendition was alive and well.
