So funny… us fickle guitar snobs. LOL This is perfect as it is. We all have to remember these are NOT custom guitars. If “WE” want custom features then just call PRS up and they will build you one, pretty simple. If you have the cash. Otherwise, they build their standard issue production guitars as a one size fits all. It’s impossible to make all of us happy. I’m just thankful they build so many guitars we can but. Someday, when my playing is worth and I truly know what I want, like most of you seem to already know I would love to have them build a custom axe use for me. Until then, thank you PRS for making the guitars that you do. Us guitarist will always want something a little different from earth other. But your guitars are a work of art. I recently purchase a PRS Achron 50 combo amp, it is amazing.
The narrowfield in the neck sounds good, but I gotta say there was some special mojo in the previous type D single coil that I personally feel is lacking here. I wish y'all would have stuck with that pickup design.
Agreed. It does sound good but I do prefer the singlecoil in my Vela over the Narrowfield. I’m also surprised they didn’t add the option to tap the Narrowfield.
What is the amp setup you are using in the audio? Is the Sonzera running into an extension cabinet and you have a mic on that? I noticed on the previous video that you were playing through the Sonzera but there was no microphone on it.
If you look closely at the bottom-right corner of the Sonzera 20 combo, then you can see what is probably a speaker cable going down to the cabinet on top of which the combo is sitting.
There are so many PRS's that I would love to buy if they had options other than 10" radius fretboards. If this had a slightly flatter fretboard and maybe a different bridge I would buy it instantly.
These pickups on the new S2 line are awesome. Unfortunately the pickups on the Custom 24 from ‘23 I bought sounds like something is on the strings. I hope they offer an upgrade kit

Completely agree. Narrow field here sounds ok but lacks personality. Much like a typical humcancelling strat pickup
This guitar just became a recycled version of a bunch of other prs guitars. The D style pick up ,was what made this guitar unique.

Nice neck humbucker sound, but it doesn't sound like a single-coil (even a beefy one) to my ears at all.
Putting in USA pickups takes away my aversion to the S2 line. Would love to demo this on my channel.
Unless PRS has started making the DS-01 humbucker themselves, that is still a G&B Pickups product.
Wooo the birds are back!
OH MY GOD THAT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
I wish you guys make a 24-fret version with a tremolo bridge in the future :')
Narrowfield sounds so goooood!! love it, great upgrade!
Mini HB in the neck makes this way more desireable
Please offer this with a Bigsby!!!

Best looking offset guitar, end of story.
