Great point at the 149 match about taking top. He did not win but it was his best chance Also they mentioned scouting. There is so much video of guys out there. Very few are a mystery.
Cornell looked tired and warn out. Lehigh really pushed the pace. Great dual.
Although he took top he did nothing with it. After laying on his back with double boots in didn't do it you would have thought maybe Griffin would hand tried something different to maybe get perpendicular and try an actual turn....

There’s really no advantage for Vito to “duck” Crookham since he is already ranked ahead of Vito. It would have benefited Crookham to duck Vito, because when the selection committee sits down in March, it is an advantage to be ranked number one. No one wants Fix before the finals. (unfortunately, Fix seems to struggle there).
Don't matter anyways, Ryan won't beat Vito, Fix or Nagaou come tourney time

So lame that Vito is not wrestling Crookham; that seems to be a pattern in the regular season. For a sport that is all about mono e mono, that's disappointing. Give the fans what they want. Instead, they put out his practice partner to scout Crookham:/

It sure doesn't help our sport grow. This is how boxing died. The best matches were avoided to protect a belt or a record
Vito needs to move up in weight for the Olympics like DT did. If it is between him and Spencer, Spencer will probably win if nothing else, just b/c of the weight being easier. Vito needs to focus on gaining 5 lbs of lean mass.

He isn't redshirted but he has only wrestled a couple matches this year. He probably ducked this one tho

I'm saying he ducked...He wrestled him at CKLV and lost. I'm thinking he doesn't want to chance 2 losses to the same guy ahead of March. He's no Otoole who never ducked Carr & used what he learned in those 2 losses to dominate Carr in March
Hey kids, two points on that heavyweight match: 1) when your opponent is as high as Cornell was with their head on the mat, HEAD HUNT as bottom man 'cause that guy on top will soon forget about his leg ride and you may pull him right over; 2) learn to use your feet like you do your hands for hand control and use them to work out of a leg ride. Most wrestlers do nothing with their lower body, (legs and feet), when they're on bottom. Think of it as feet control.
