Nice, it’s similar boat and body style. I was happy to hit 64 with the stock prop, I still have yet to take it out on glass like water to see what it will do!
Off set rudder is why you have better turning on the side with the rudder more submerged during a turn. When you reverse the prop also pushed the boat sideways. But not every boat esc can de reverse.
I don’t think I changed much, I made sure the trim tabs were relatively straight back. I didn’t grease the flex shaft which I regretted because it needed it and I think the flex shaft was spinning/loose in the coupler as it made an awful noise and I was getting slow speeds. Resolved after greasing and tightening the first time.
Not sure where they are from factory, but now have the turning fins about 45 degrees angle and strut pretty straight, maybe a bit up, but keep it mostly neutral just to give yourself a baseline to start with.
Hey man just bought this boat today and took it to the water today and water wasnt choppy at all and had batteries pushed forward all the way and the boat just bounces and hops and can barley give it throttle, have you had this problem?
Try with the batteries towards the middle/back, if the water is calm you want the boat to ride on the strut/prop the most for least friction and most go. Your adjustments might be set up a bit in opposition and fighting each other. Hard to say unless I was able to look at it. Best way to start out is pretty neutral.
Super cool boat, looks and sounds great, and fast 👍👍😀😀
AWSOME TRUCK AND BOAT TAKE CARE,,,
Way faster than I thought it was gonna be
Wow great video, exactly what I needed to see, will be getting one very soon !
good battery placement. I would race that & it's pretty stable. guess the boat doesn't have self righting, that would be a big plus. thanks for video.
I have a sonic wake v2 and that thing could keep up with it

Bud the impulse is 160amp and 8s capable, the sonic wake whilst great can't quite keep up.

Thanks for the info! Can definitely tell it has more bite on that side.
