Poker requires incredible skill to be successful. But it's still gambling. Luck will play a massive role. You can make the absolutely right decision and lose. You can make the absolute wrong decision and win. It's why it's such an exciting and frustrating game.
And that's why I quit online poker. The software is rigged.

Not a "sick" runout at all. If Daniel called the 300k on the flop, then shoved on the turn, then yes, sick. But the money went it when Daniel was WAY BEHIND... so not sick at all.
With all due respect. I know it's a sick run out and everything but Daniel deserved to lose this hand. He pretty knows and SHOULD know that he's beat when the guy 4 bet jams all in, especially the WAY he did it. Daniel knows all this yet he still called? Again, made the wrong decision and deserves to lose. Why is nobody focusing on that?
Obviously you don't know a thing when it comes to poker. There was a flush possibility out there and a straight possibility out there on the flop. So Barry could of easily been betting either of those hands and trying to push Daniel off of the pot after he rejammed all in. A higher pocket pair is just a small portion of things that was going on with that hand.
Because it’d be rather silly to focus on that when he’s caught what he has, especially in heads-up poker.
Barry’s range, he could have been shoving all-in with bottom or middle pair and trying to bluff Daniel out, or on a draw and going for broke.
Chances he had kings or aces isn’t that high there, and heads-up is an entirely different game.

Its heads-up tournament poker though. The announcer even mentioned that daniel knew his opponent likes to gamble when it comes to draws.
My 4090 runs fulltiltpoker at 345, 000 fps, gameplay is insane like butter at those frames.

Overrated. Shulman was a 75% favorite after Daniel called his all-in raise. This scenario is included in the 3:1 odds. Daniel was a big dog after calling and lost. YAWN.
That comment is so far off mark to be hysterical. Shulman was indeed 75% favourite after the flop but the probability of going behind on the turn before winning on the river would be minuscule. This is what makes the clip so watchable.

The fact that DNegs had the J of diamonds, kinda blocks big draws like AJ, KJ, 9J, TJd that Shulman might shove on that flop. 9Td is the only other big drawing hand, maybe AK AQ or ATd but seems too confident. I know blockers weren't really a thing back then, just not sure what Daniel was putting him on.
I’d assume he’s putting him on a draw? 6-7 suited/off, 9/10 suited/off, ace-X of diamonds, or possibly any other 2 combos with diamonds in his hand. Plus it’s heads up, the ranges of hands played especially on the button are a lot larger. Even having ace-8 in this spot heads up is huge. Playing heads up is a lot harder to put your opponent on certain cards. King-8? lol could go on all day. Hard to lay down top pair heads up especially when raising any two cards happens a lot heads-up
