- I wanted to go over some of the best metal labels (outside of the more obvious ones like Metal Blade, Season of Mist, Nuclear Blast, Sumerian Records, Profound Lore, etc) and put some great places for some great music on your map! Some of these you may not have known released some awesome albums in the past decades!

I wanted to go over some of my favorite metal labels that I keep up with, outside of the more obvious ones! Hopefully this can put some great hotspots on your guys' radar and I'd love to do more installments of this because there are plenty more great metal labels. What are some of your favorites?! Be sure to let me know down below!!!!!!! But for now, cheers, rock on, stay heavy and have yourselves a fantastic rest of your day or night, depending on when you see this!!!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Gotta mention gilead media because even though they're sadly coming to an end this year, they've definitely left an impact and you can really sense a strong community within the bands and the fans especially in the documentary about the label a wandering path
Thank you for this. I'm... Quite a bit older than you, and when I was coming up in the '90s, it was of course Metal Blade, Earache, Century Media, Nuclear Blast, Relapse, Peaceville. I moved away from that eventually and wound up involved in other genres; goth, industrial, noise rock. And just classical music. Wanting to rediscover and hear something that's interesting to me.
In the early 2000s, I just wasn't there for that first wave of metalcore and emo stuff-I was listening to Sisters Of Mercy and Bauhaus and the big 4 and had picked up on melodeath, but the punk thing wasn't there for me. I respected the concept, but I was a bit pretentious about how I liked Dream Theater and classical music and nu metal sounded unsophisticated to me. I was old enough to have played that stuff, but I didn't consider it serious or interesting. And there was a point where I just walked away and said it wasn't my thing anymore.
And obviously I'm not going to start writing or playing that stuff in my 40s. But there was a point at which I stopped feeling like I could connect with new bands playing heavy music, and clearly I must have missed something in the intervening years.
Close Casket Activities was one of my favorite labels when I got into HC in the mid-2010s!
It’s wild how they’re now known as the label signed that Fleshwater!
love the OC i guess you could call it
I've been really digging Season of Mist, Transcending Obacurity and I, Voidbringer or totl dissonance worship
Ooo, dunno the last two off the top of my head but adore Season obviously and Trascending's great!
@@TheMetalTempestYT You’re missing out! I, Voidhanger is a great label for weird underground stuff.
Closed Casket has almost all of my favorite bands and albums in its catalog, that's for sure.
Haven’t even watched the video. On thumbnail alone I know this is gonna be good. ULCERATE, VEIN, AND WHITE WARD?????? Goated taste.
My band is putting out a comp album with liquidized presidents records

@@Lucas-dm7xo ill happily take this distinction
@@TheMetalTempestYT but in all seriousness this is some real helpful stuff I’m working on recording a couple of songs over the summer (not trying for a label or anything) but it still helps to know as much as a can about the music industry
