    You could tell the Celtics players were more like a family than just teammates. They knew what each other would do on the court at any given time.

    Totally respect Isaih Thomas' perfect description of the LOVE that NBA players have for each other. The world needs to hear more stories of LOVE & AFFECTION just like the way Isaih Thomas tells it. Isaih wonderfully honors Dennis Johnson in the way DJ & Larry embraced for all the world to see. Well done Isaih. Brings a tear to my eye.

    There was a time I didn't appreciate Isiah, possibly due to a lack of knowledge or my disdain for the rough style of basketball the Pistons played. However, after a 360-degree shift in perspective, I now enjoy listening to Isiah more than anyone else. His talent for storytelling, especially his delivery, is as remarkable as his skills were on the basketball court.

    "We knew Larry was gonna get the ball." How many times has that been said?
    I love the fact that Isiah can tell this story without bitterness and admiration. So respectable.
    I love Walton's reaction, happy, but not really surprised... "that's Larry & DJ."

    i think one of the greatest Larry Bird moments Isaiah sould talk about is the time he "backed" up Rodams comments on Bird. Bird didn't want to be bothered with the "white" guy comments. He just wanted to play ball with no distractions.Not being mean or hateful but didn't Bird " school" Rodman on many occasions?Tit fot tat, Bird was a beast!

    Just ridiculous that Isiah was not on the Dream Team. Two rings, team leader . In the 80’s the top 4 guys in the league were Bird , Magic, MJ, and Isiah .

    • @hermixtonen
      @hermixtonen 10 месяцев назад

      @@robmckrobmck5567 I kinda recall Dr J being more of a factor in the 70’s. But yes, in the early 80’s he was still a force. Won the title in 83. But the second half of the 80’s (the part that was more important in selecting the 92 Dream Team) was all Magic, Bird, Jordan, and Isiah. Those were the BiG 4. No two ways about it . Dr J retired in 87 , or so (didn’t look it up . Might be off by a year ). So he was not a consideration for the Dream Team.

The game changed shortly after, now ya have 25 million$ a year dudes lumbering back and forth up and down the court shooting at a rim, the Arenas are 1/3 full.
