@CaptBubble - Yes there is a Lynton and Barnstaple coach at the National Railway Museum in York. Its coach number 2, which was purchased at auction shortly after the railway closed and was used as a summer house. It is on display (unrestored) along with the nameplates of the original locos.
I'd forgotten that this existed. I wonder if they are merely custodians of the coach and will relinquish it so it may return to its rightful place soon... I seem to recall the FR recovered one which was rebuilt as a buffet.

This was filmed on the last day of operations on the L&B. In fact it's the last train.
