I disagree on the death penalty for these evil pediphiles, i think they should be given life sentences and placed in general population in prisons with a special type of vindication installed by the inmates , then the pediphile can endure, and reflect on the exact suffering they inflicted on the victims, its eye for an eye.

I remember my mother called me "The child of the wild", when I came home for dinner in the afternoons, with red cheeks, after all I done in the forests with my friends. And nowadays when I see kids, they are all sitting with head bowed, staring down into phones, isolated at home in some artificial world... 😞

It's called the "bystander effect" im sure, it's horrific but there was a woman murdered and I think a total of 24 people saw this but didn't intervene or do anything coz they all thought someone else must have called the police 😬 the murderer actually left and came bloody back and finished her off, people vould have saved her but no one would! Its terrifying to know that! Her name was kitty genovese I'm sure so sad! I feel people are more aware now, esp with children, but we still just watch alot, id hope more people would intervene nowadays, but we are very selfish if we think we might be at risk. No excuse for his crimes to be honest, we may not have been through his hell but we have our own stresses of life and not all of use went along destroying the world. In sexual assault cases it always seems that the victim is guilty until proven innocent, and the proving can be next to impossible. Until the punishment fits the crime every single time, we stop letting these people out once caught, and we start paying closer attention to and believing victims by default (at least initially), this will continue as it always has. Not all, but certainly many of these monsters will think twice before destroying someone else's life if they KNOW they'll pay with their own.

especially sexual violence, should never see the light of day again. These criminals will never be rehabilitated and don't deserve an opportunity to leave prison early for "good behavior";their very crimes against children deems them a clear, present, and ongoing danger to society's most vulnerable population. To those who argue that pedos should be given parole opportunities, then open YOUR homes to these criminals and let them live with you and your kids...

My dad was from Portobelllo and used to take me and my brother to the promenade, so i remember when Caroline Hogg went missing and my parents discussing with us what happened and why her picture was in shop fronts...etc. I must have been about 5yrs old myself. Her picture was etched in my brain and i remember seeing her face on the tv screen years later and upon listening to the news report it was discussing Black finally being charged with her murder.
When i was about 8 or 9 a car stopped beside my friend and i and asked us if we knew the directions to a local country house. The country house was just a few streets away with easy directions. Yet, the man asked if we would mind jumping in the back of the car and showing him. My friend opened the door and was getting in when i told him to stop and that we won't be going with the man. The country house was an old derelict building with boarded over windows, hidden by trees, uncut grass and fields off the back. A place where all us kids would go play but no good reason for an adult to visit. I sometimes wonder what would have happened had we got in the car and if knowing about Caroline was part of the reason why i didn't trust the man.

I can't believe that forensic psychologist would claim that the majority of pedophiles are immature & unable to have adults relationships.
Like any crime the loners, or socially inept stick out & are more likely to get noticed & caught. The worst offenders are the ones who can blend in & be seen as good people, only to be monsters behind closed doors.
The majority of survivors I've talked to had a married man molest them, or a family member/friend in a relationship with the abuser, mother's boyfriend, aunts husband, grandma's boyfriend etc, mother's best friend's partner etc.
I find the claim that it's adults who aren't in relationships who are pedophiles to be inacurate & dangerous. Please don't let your guard down just because somone is in a romantic relationship, or is married.

A couple who lived next door to my grandparents (in fact, they were friends) had a damaged son who tried to kill his mother with a pair of scissors when he was 17. He was institutionalized at some point in the 50s. Eventually, he was released and he went to work as a gardener at a hotel. When a young girl was reported to be missing, he led the group that searched the hotel grounds. He became a suspect when he seemed to lead his search party directly to the girl's body. I have no idea what happened to him after this. I heard the story from my Dad. My curiosity is piqued, but....since my father has passed on, I cannot ask for details.

When he was born I changed my life, I actually started to think about my decisions and stopped being impulsive because I didn't want anything to jeopardize me raising him. My husband was the same. We went from two idiots that partied all the time, got in trouble, no focus, no purpose, no strength, associated with shitty people ect. To when finding out I was pregnant, taking parenting classes, getting therapy, cutting bad influences, staying sober...to now over a decade later we both work solid jobs and provide our son with the love and stability we never got. Ok I feel genuinely sad for the hell he suffered as a child. My younger brother & oldest sister suffered unimaginable abuse. My younger bother was miraculously healed by Jesus Christ when he was a teenager so he grew up to be a wonderful father of 1 girl and 3 boys. Unfortunately my sister was damaged from the severe abuse & never got healed. But NOBODY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO HARM CHILDREN FOR ANY REASON!!! NOBODY IS EXCUSED!!!!
He should NEVER see the light of day EVER AGAIN!!!!

It's true that Jesus Christ is a wonderful healer, He (overnight) delivered me from suicidal thoughts, depression and demonic oppression and nightmares and has also miraculously healed me from illness! (As well as giving me salvation and eternal life!) I do wish that more people would turn to Him for help, it' s free, after all (though not free for Him as it cost Him His life).

I'm sorry but no one is truly healed from abuse. They may look like they have it together but they are probably crying by their self or after having a drink. It's all you think about. It consumes you.

My mum has told me so many times about walking along the road on a main Dumfries road when she was 6 and seeing a white van driving up and down the road watching her in 1977, she’s always been convinced it was him and remembers his face but sadly unlike these girls there was always someone nearby to look out for her as she lived on a caravan park.

I'm at 15:05 and I'm about to cry and or stop. I'm speechless at the realization of the unending evil we constantly produce. It's too much sometimes when you think about it. I've got to use this to be more caring, kind, loving and empathetic and if people mistake it for weakness well that's on them. I'll know what I am. We've got to do better for the generations behind us. Sorry...I'm just wrecked. Think about how much quality of life would increase if people didn't do proactive evil and more people went out of their way to look for opportunities to help others in harms way. I've got to do this. This old woman, I'm shattered for her. She's frozen in time on that day she last saw her daughter. I've got a couple pieces frozen to. Stay strong 🤘

I grew up on a council estate in Keighley West Yorkshire we used to go shopping in Leeds, so it was familiar. I was 11 in 1986 everyone I went to school with lived in the same area. I remember us all being able to roam around our area & stay out before it got dark. We had tea at six o'clock every day so Look North/Calender was on TV. The Story about Sarah Harper was shown, she went to the corner shop to get a loaf of bread & disappeared. That's what we all did, you could buy cigarettes and alcohol for your parents back then but usually it was to buy gravy, milk or bread.. It was a safe thing to do & only 5 minutes walk but after the story aired everything changed . We couldn't go anywhere on our own so I had to walk to school with my sister & brother. When Sarah's body was found, that was it no more roaming around at all hours. We had curfews that were strictly enforced. If my curfew was 8pm and by 8.05pm if I hadn't come home, my dad came out looking for me he didn't have to go far because I was two minutes away from home trying hard to hide the fact that I smoked. That is also the first time we all found that not only did monsters who prayed on kids exist but they didn't look like monsters they looked like everybody else. It was also the first time we'd heard the word paedophile & what the word meant.
It could have been anyone of us but it wasn't. Sarah Harper didn't die in vain, her murder made all of us aware that for the first time that evil walks amongst us hunting for their prey..
I have a photograph imprinted in my memory forever, it shows Sarah Harper sitting on the wall outside the corner shop. How does a parent or loved one get over the fact their child has been horrifically murdered by a monster no one knew existed. I can usually empathise & put myself in their shoes to know how they're feeling but unless you go through it yourself you'll never know know how they feel. Tbh I don't want to because no one should have to go through that.
My heart goes out to all those parents & loved ones who've lost children in similar circumstances. We don't forget about them ever.

When Caroline Hogg went missing from Portobello, the police appealed to anyone who had been there that day (the beach & fairground) to hand in photos they'd taken so they could look for Caroline in the background. They didn't see the wee girl in any pics but there was a very high amount of known peadophiles there that day. That's only known peadophiles, there would have been many more not known by the police. That fact terrified me & has never left me all these years
