Not only are you a creative genius, but you really know how to talk to your audience and explain everything to where ANYONE can follow and execute these diy’s. 👏
I agree!!! I just discovered your channel through this video, and I'm definitely going to do this project! SO wonderful! I also love Halloween, so I can't wait to check out your videos for the spooky season, too!
This masterpiece Santa built by the most talented man I know got me in the spirit of Christmas, deck the halls!
Thanks for this Tigri!
This was amazing!!! And gave me all the feels! It’s the best time of the year & you are just making it even more magical 🤩🖤
Thank you for this! You made my day
One other thing... show your talent for Easter DIYS... would love to see some creative energy there as well..thanks
Ive made 3 Easter tutorials in the past
This is really awesome, Isaac, and is just what I need during the gloomy days of autumn. I can hardly wait for what else is in store for this season. You really are the best.
Just trying to spread some Christmas cheer!
You are a genius! Watching you create your magic is just as good as the end result. I love in Charleston and would love to see your home decorated for Christmas. Thanks for sharing your creativeness.
If you’re in the Charlotte area in December you should drive by. I go all out
Smart work around with the snow!
Definitely! The boots weren’t working for me
Love how it turned out! Thanks for explaining how to do it in a very easy to follow way! Great idea
No problem Angel!
Thank you for sharing your creativity with all the details! We followed your tutorial and made one of our own. We used yoga mats and zip ties for the body filler as well as some pool noodles to make the shape a little more round around the edges. We also used black plungers for the toe of Santa’s boots before adding Buffalo snow.
This guy is way better than five minute craft
You never cease to amaze me!
Good job 🔥 🎅🏽 🎄
Thanks bestie! Wish you could see it!
You have so much talent! Great way to start getting ready for Christmas.
Thanks Trevor :)
What a wonderful idea!! Thanks for explaining everything
You’re very welcome
Ugh!!! Its soooo beautiful!!! Absolutely love!!!💙🌲☃️
Thank you!
Great project Alexander! I just subscribed and look forward to more Christmas props!
Thank you Clinton, I really appreciate that
Love watching what you create for holiday decorations!! 😍
You should be here helping 🤓
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY yes, sir!
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY can you please tell me what’s the measurements for the legs and arms? Thank you. I absolutely love your channel
@@frankiecarter9430 Hey Frank, I’m a little bit confused at your question when throughout the video I mentioned that all the measurements for all the pieces are located in a downloadable Google document that I attached to the description of the video. If that diagram isn’t enough, I’m not sure how else to help you.
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY thank you for your reply, my brain injury often gets in the way of my ability to fully understand things right away but After watching your video 6 times I was able to get all the information I was to slow to grasp the first time. Frankie is a she not a he. I really appreciate your work and videos.
You are so talented! Already told you this, but your DIYs make me so happy for the holidays
Thank you Rey! So happy to hear this
Your videos have inspired me to go crazy this year decorating 😂 thank you!!
Haha love it! Go crazy
I'm excited. I've always wanted to make my very own Santa. Thank you for this DYI
You’re very welcome!
Damn boy, you just keep upping your game! Thanks for another great tutorial!
Another home run idea! So glad I found this guy!
Awesome job as always! And thanks for charging the design documents!
You’re very welcome ☺️
Love it so much! Merry Christmas!! 🎄🎄🎄
Thanks Doctor!
Love this. What a talent.
Thank you! Glad you love it
your diy projects are so good!
Thanks Jayvee!
The arm turned out really good actually. Love your creativity!
Thanks Diva!
That’s amazing!
Indeed it is. Thanks for the comment 🥾
The end of this one had me cracking up😂
What happened at the end?
Another awesome diy video and idea. I do a lights to music for my Christmas display. Most of it we built ourselves. You can't go wrong with PVC's. I had to do a lot of rebuilding 4 years ago when hurricane Florence tried to take off with them. The price of living at the beach in NC. Thank you for the great idea's which I will be trying for this year's display.
Oh dang, this is so cool!
Thanks Nick 😊
This video just brought Christmas, my favorite time of the year!
I can’t wait for it to be outside! 😍😍
🥰🎄
love this!
Lol the struggle is real! I felt so bad when your mic wasn’t plugged in! People don’t realize how hard it is to film a diy.
I have a few on my channel! It’s hard. Plus you’re also working in a small box trying to make sure everything you do is in frame. This was an awesome video! I’m really enjoying your channel!
I’m sure you know that struggle indeed. Thankfully it’s only happened to me a few times and I was able to fix it but sometimes I can’t re-record it. Again, sorry for taking two months to reply to this, sometimes RUclips doesn’t notify me of some comments
This is so cool! I can’t believe you made this with only $200?!
Yep! Gotta save money where you can so I did the best I could for about 200
I just found your channel. I love it. Amazing tutorial
So happy to have you here!
You are fantastic. Disneyworld should recruit you. thanks for all the inspiration.
Thanks Jane, I appreciate this compliment
Love this Video. I can’t wait to make one. I started years ago to make a stationary one that is life size but never finished. My dad made a frame for me out of PVC pipe and I’m going to try and use it if it isn’t glued. If it is I’ll work around it. This would made a great base for a waving Snowman. I might even try to make it smaller and make some Elves. Thanks again for sharing
Hopefully you can make one this year!
HELLO ALEXANDER.
MERRY CHRISTMAS. SANTA IS EXCELLENT. YOUR TUTORIAL WAS EASY TO WATCH AND FASCINATING TO SEE HIM COME TO LIFE WAVING TO EVERYONE. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A PANORAMIC VIEW OF YOUR YARD ALL DECORATED WITH YOUR MAGICAL CREATIONS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AND SUPER DECORATION.
Thank you so much Judith, I’m glad you loved it. Here is the entire yard decorated completely. I’m including the link below

Awesome!🎅🏼🎄
Thanks River !
You are amazing. Your videos are amazing. You are so talented. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much, glad you like my work
Que idea tan magnifica!! Amo la Navidad, es la mejor celebración del año, junto con halloween hahaha Great job Izak, greetings from Chile 🥰
Gracias Oscar! Me encanta Navidad
Muito criativo, parabéns.
Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year and this Santa is next level can't wait to see all you have cooked up!! I also love the bloopers got me Lol'n
Haha there’s a lot of bloopers but I only left one in. Glad you like it. Wish you could see it in person 🤴🏻
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY I give anything to see it IRL
Brilliant LOVE IT ❤❤❤❤
Looking good!
Thanks man!
My 5 year old watched through the entire video... Thank you! Also, who is this dude? Raawr!
Yay!! I’m so happy that your little one was entertained enough to watch the entire video! I’m glad you found my channel. I’m Isaac Alexander and I make mostly holiday DIY 😊😊
You are just too good with these decorations.. love watching you make them.. really do like the wreath and im gonna try my hand next year of making it out of PVC.. i have a plan... thank you for your wit and your talent in showing us how to make these things happen.. Would love to meet you.. you not to far from me as im in SC.. Thanks again
I just love watching your videos. With all these decorations, especially the animated ones, how do you store them all?
Ideas for future budgets 😍
🎉💯
This came out great! Love it! You have my wheels spinning now for next Halloween. One question, is that motor ok for outdoor use?
Thank you so much! Sorry It took me so long to reply! I hadn’t seen this comment. Yes it can be used outside, though covered would be best for longevity
A little bit of a redesign, you could put in an oscillating fan so Santa swivels at the waist while he waves. Your little motor could do the same thing.
WOW!! I would love to make this no time this year.
Maybe next year :)
Great job!!!!
Thank you Carol!
Oh man. You're reading my mind again. Gotta send you vids of our haunt in the Bay Area!
Thanks man! Send me some pics on Facebook. Search “Isaac Alexander DIY”
Excellent Explanation.....LOL love the blooper hesitation. I have plenty of Bloopers when I'm recording my videos too, I think I only recorded one blooper. Does the PVC Glue have a strong odor and is it ok to use to connect mirror to wood?...you did another amazing DIY. If you noticed, I've been binge watching your videos by all the comments on your different Christmas videos I've watched. I really like your creativity skills. Thanks again for sharing. Blessings.
Awesome job. It came out amazing.
You could have run the neck pipe longer and used a slow motor in his chest to make the head move left and right.
If I ever build on I’ll give that a try.
That’s actually a great idea
Amazing!!!!😍😍😍😍
Thanks Marmie! ❤️
For the boots you could go to a tractor supply store and get plain black muck boots and attach the trim to the tops and drill a hole through the bottom of each boot to slide over pvc
Great tip ! Thank you
Bro how the heck did you know- so, the thing is, I recently was planning on making a diy santa animatronic with the same arm movement on your's, so i took notes throughout the WHOLE video. This helped a lot! Thanks! ( also I need those links!) 😊😊❤
If you make this again, maybe you can try rubber washers for the motor/moving arm portion- or maybe a silicone gasket (you can get this in a tube in the automotive section)
Side note: When working with pvc glue, always work in a well ventilated area.
Tyfs! Looking forward to more videos and making my own Christmas wonderland!
Amei
😍❤️
I'm super glad I came across your video tutorial. I always go all out on Halloween never can find anything for Christmas anything mechanical or ideal . Now seeing your video hit the spot thx..I can make a Santa now as yours but my themes are always elfs I love elfs for Christmas lol. So maybe doing the same but making an elf Instead .. see how it goes. Great job 👍keep the spirit going thx man ..
Thank you for this AMAZING comment! Always awesome to get such feedback. Several people have asked me to make an elf so who knows what I may bring ☺️
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY aww thx man. Sounds good.. n your welcome.
I just stumbled upon this video while googling life-size Santa, DIY. I love just how thorough you were throughout. To be honest, you lost me with the mechanical arm. I’m not quite that savvy. Lol Everything else, I can do. ❤
Great work Issac. They look awesome! I would have liked to see the painting of the PVC and great stuff followed up by the install over the rebar, but it's easy enough to figure out. What size rebar did you use ( length, and diameter)? Thanks man.
I’m confused as what you are referring to. I didn’t paint the PVC, and I didn’t use expanding foam. I also didn’t use any rebar so I am confused as to what you’re talking about
@@IsaacAlexanderDIY Isaac, I apologize. Not sure what happened here, but this comment should have been uploaded to your gingerbread man tutorial.
From Snapchat 💕 you are so good at building things
Thanks Blake! It’s fun making these
Mount your motor to the back side of the PVC pipe and drill a clearance hole for the part that moves and make the little pipe long enough to pass through the PVC pipe. To save a little bulk and then you can put your bump screws in the front also. Use small coffee cans cut in half for feet or plastic Halloween clown shoes.
That’s actually a great idea! Thanks for the tip
How about a Jacob Marley decoration (A Christmas Carol) for those that want a spooky Christmas display!?
From the cartoon or film?
Suggestions; use a heat gun to smash the elbow end of the upper arm.this will make that area less bulky and better mounting surface for the motor.
You can use a heat gun to connect the ends of the pool noodles instead of having the ends sticking out.
Stopping the motor with the screws will drastically decrease the life of the deer motor. You could mount the motor in the shoulder area and use the original cam on the motor and a rod mounted to the forearm with a pivot at the elbow.
It does look awesome!
This is such a brilliant idea, I wish I would’ve thought of that before. Thank you so much for this
Great build. I’m still laughing at the idea of a 7 foot elf.
Haha that’s a giant elf
Thanks for the inspiration 😈
I’m glad I can inspire
love this tutorial. I may have to try to make one of these!
One idea.....when you were trying to get the motor to stop and switch directions on the down swing, would it work to take another screw out of the motor and replace it with a longer screw or a small bolt that extends up to the arm to stop it? I just noticed that where you wanted that motion to stop, was right beside one of the screws in the motor itself. It might cut down on the bulkiness of that elbow.
Just an idea, I have no clue if it would work without having the stuff right in front of me.
Don't forget his sleigh and reindeers
An easy way is to buy some cheap black santa boots n drill large enough hole n place it over the pvc pipe but great video sir
That’s a smart tip!
I don’t know who the grinches are that are disliking this video but this is great. Your math starting at 1:15 is 🤯 😉
Learned my math skills from you 😃🤓
Your Santa is fantastic. If I may, I'd like to offer a small suggestion. Drill holes in the base, where the "legs" are. Then insert rebar into the ground, and sit the base on the rebar, with the rebar going up the legs and acting as both a theft deterrent and as a way to firm up the Santa to withstand the December winds.
Super smart tips! Thank you for that
A couple of suggestions: for the lower arm stop use 1/4” allthread rod and bend it to shape then drill through the arm and attach it with nuts for a stronger stop. Second, for the torso fill, use a large contractor garbage bag with 2 holes in the bottom for the PVC and put it on before assembling the torso, fill with newspaper or other materials and tie at top. Third, you can use a large pillowcase for the sack.
Great tips! Thanks
I’m wondering if a wiper motor might give you the back and forth motion without all the stops.
I think it would actually be better.
This is really cool!
Can you do a animatronic snowman next??
That’s actually a neat idea
This is awesome. Unfortunately that motor for the arm is either out of business or just not selling the extra motor anymore
This was incredible!!! Does your brain ever turn off? Lol it’s amazing to see what you can build. Love seeing all of it:) tfs stay safe and God Bless:)
Haha sometimes my brain overloads haha
Wonder if a wiper motor would of worked.
Christmas!
🎄🎄
I know it’s not Halloween anymore but could you make a video showing how you converted the Home Depot pumpkins to make them so they plug-in. They go through batteries like crazy.
If you message me on Facebook I can send you the video I made on how to convert them. Search “Isaac Alexander DIY”
A slow turning electric motor with a fex 5" wheel in the low end of the upper arm. A stick/rod fastened with a screw far out of the wheel and set with a screw 6-7 inches up on the lower arm with a hinge in the bottom (between the two arm pieces) works. Could draw it for you, but this field is for letters only i´m afraid..
Oh wow thanks for this. Could you send it to me on Facebook perhaps? You could search “Isaac Alexander DIY”
Hey great job! Can you please give me an order link for the motor? The exact name would be great. Thank you, greetings from Germany
All links are in the bio of the video
Do you can get a pair of black shoes or brown ones and spray paint them black. Then cut a 1 1/2" hole in the shoes and slide them down over the PVC pipe. Then add the boot sleeve and then Santas pants. Wouldn't that work perfect?
I have seen others use a windshield wiper motor.
That’s a great idea also
its very good - with the exception of the head - the face looks too small... im sure you can find a replacement
Yes the face is too small, but there was no alternative that wouldn’t be unreasonably priced. But if you know of a better one, drop the link below.
Would that motor make his head move back and forth too?
Cool! You're so creative. I do think his skin could use some shading. He needs some rosy cheeks. He's way too white! Ha!
You’re right and thanks for the tip !
Can you use the witch frame for this?
The witch frame that I built in my previous RUclips video is leaning forward, in a hunched way. It would not look like a regular Santa
you could also tighten two nuts on the inside of the pipe
Love love love the Santa….but I must be blind…I don’t see the link for the reindeer motor…can you show me the link for it…I would really appreciate it 👍🏻😁🎅🏻
Oh my goodness! You’re right. Let me upload it real quick! sorry about that

🇧🇷like 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
This is such a great idea! I might try to make this but swap the mannequin head out with a Grinch mask! I want to do a Whoville theme on my porch this year
That’s super smart! Love that
Should added a pillow for his belly and legs too spread out. Naughty naughty Santa lol and Santa needs his bag of right side
Thanks for the tip!
You could’ve use form for his torso
I could’ve used form? What do you mean?
Wiper motor?
Yeah, I’m sure a 7’ tall juiced out lookin Santa won’t freak the kids out.🤣🤣🤣
Judging by your picture I’m sure you know what it feels like lol
For $200…this is a STEAL! Amazing that anyone can build this. Now all you need is some snow and the magic is complete! ❤️
Thank you! Love all the feedback you sent me ❤️
