My uncle worked as a semi driver for QT for decades. They treated him AMAZINGLY. The owner visited his child in the hospital 20 years ago. Then, he visited my uncle when he was ill in the hospital a few years ago. My sister worked there as well and loved it. Every store is so very clean and employees are actually happy. I will go out of my way for QT every single time.

QT is awesome. I unfortunately got a bad tank of gas from them once. I called and started their "Guaranteed Gasoline" process. The Ford dealer confirmed it was contaminated gas, and QT paid for my rental car, the repairs to my vehicle, and refunded the tank of gas. I only buy gas from them unless there's not a QT within a reasonable distance. Their QT kitchen is pretty good too.
the kitchen prices are just too high. they are in line with or exceed most fast food for just about everything except roller food. Though.... their donut selection is on par with Dunkin Donuts who apparently started hating selling donuts about 10 years ago.

They are by far the best gas station chain in the upper Midwest. The sheer selection of food and drink options is crazy - and they're always toying with something new. They are also family owned, vertically integrated and always rank very highly in customer/employee satisfaction. Certainly worth doing a video about.

Super busy, super stressful but the pay & benefits were well worth it! Upper management were always so encouraging & positive. One of the best jobs I ever had.
QT is awesome. All employees spend time working in a store and most corporate positions are filled from store staff. Stores are always clean and well staffed. They won't let any store run with less than 2-3 people at a time.
As a Tulsa native, love seeing stuff from my home town. Used to go there every afternoon after i got off school and get a turkey club sandwich and a fountain drink. Was excellent for a pre-packaged food product, if they were made fresh every day i wouldnt be surprised at all.
Do one on Kwik Trip! I’m a truck driver from Chicago and have had plenty of experience with both, and though QT is an awesome store, I would say the fuel prices are what draw me to QT. Their food is okay, and the staff are somewhat friendly, but whenever I go to Wisconsin, I have to stop at a Kwik Trip. Their food is amazing, and their staff act more like waiters than gas station clerks. Really, Kwik Trip is next level.
The vertical integration of Kwik Trip, while somewhat confining their territory expansion delivers a more consistent product and store experience. They do everything in house from their own dairy to ripening their own bananas. Definitely would love to get a deep dive into the company and another family owned C-Store chain.
Oh wow that's my comment in the video! Thank you so much for getting around to QuikTrip! You're the goat I worked at QT for 3 years. They pay great but they work you HARD. Which that in itself isn't too bad but the nature of gas station customers, especially working overnight is what makes the job tough. If you're willing to work your ass off, they'll pay and treat you very well, unlike most companies. Every manager I knew that worked there for 20 or more years was a millionaire and I'm not even slightly exaggerating.
My area is already over run with Kwik Trip/ Kwik Star locations which are great! Good gas, good food, large enough to get basic groceries if needed, most have car washes attached. And most importantly, they're clean and tidy all the time!
Worked at QT from age 16-20 here in Missouri and it was the best first job I could've asked for. Still to this day 20 years later, they are the ONLY company that actually had a 2 week training course. They paid very well for the area and gave stacking bonuses the more hours you work and the longer you stay with the company. My cousin has worked there since he was 16 also and is now moving to Chicago to transition to the real estate side of the company. They're great and the stores are always clean, well lit and well stocked.
I've been to KwikTrip a few times. Their truck stops are the only truck stops I know that operate on volume and not margins. In other words, their prices are fair, comparable to grocery stores.
Become an employee, they are pretty open about it. Every year we go to a year end meeting, where they talk about the growth of the company, expansions, all the usual buisness stuff, hand out our amazing year end bonuses, I personally really like these meetings, before the founder Don Zeitlow retired, he would go to every year end meeting. I met the man personally, and shook his hand and talked a little. Very nice guy!
@@lorddeez1385 I love the stores and use them all the time, and I even applied for a manager position there! I didn't get that job, but I got a better one working for the state instead 🙂
Kwik Trip / Kwik Star is fantastic. They just expanded into my area. They have fantastic customer service, food options, prices, etc. They are far busier than most other places here but are always still faster to go to.
As someone from Tulsa, Oklahoma, it's INSANE seeing people outside of Oklahoma talking about QT. They're such a power house here yet most out-of-state people I talk to have never heard of it.
Fun fact: Even though QT is an Oklahoma based company they just opened their first store in the OKC a few months ago. The founder of QT had a gentleman's agreement with the owners of the OKC 7/11 stores that if they didn't expand into Tulsa, QT wouldn't expand into OKC. Fast forward to a couple of years ago when the family sold out to 7/11 corporate QT said "Let's go to OKC!"
I've lived in Tulsa all my life, and QuikTrip is great! The employees are friendly, they're fast to check you out when you come up to the counter, and as you pointed out in the video, the food! Breakfast in particular if you ask me. One of the best sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits you'll find anywhere. They have them hot and ready if you just want to grab one in the morning, or if you're late to breakfast you can order one from the kitchen and they'll make it fresh, letting you customize it with your choice of cheese or adding jalapenos, onion, etc....
I was so confused since I'm a Minnesotan and we have Kwik Trip instead! My uncle is obsessed with them and I quite like them too, since they're always clean and their discount bakery items are always fun to look at in the evenings.
Kwik Trip needs to be a video. They were unheard of around here a few years ago and they built 6 where I live at the same time. They are blowing up in a hurry!
One thing I have always liked about them, is how positive the experience is, any time you go there. The employees are usually always polite, more than willing to help if asked, and their stores are always clean and vibrant. I can't speak to every Quik Trip, but the ones I've gone to have all been positive experiences. And I am thinking, too, because it is a privately held company. There's none of the money-grubbing profit-gouging for shareholder gain seen at so many other places these days - this latter which always, ALWAYS puts profit before the customer experience, which nearly always leads to a unsatisfactory customer experience. So yay for privately owned companies that make money by making it PLEASANT for customers!
Yeah, I don't expect to see that in Wisconsin. We have KwikTrip. Also, a lot of KwikTripss used to be PDQs. There are so many KwikTrips in Wisconsin, sometimes there are stores across the street from each other, even next to each other or converted to one giant store. KwikTrip also bought up a bunch of independent gas stations-stores. So yes- please do KwikTrip.
Great customer service at QuikTrip. Very friendly employees. And they are FAST, which I love. One guy can run 2 registers, and get smokes and scratch-offs, and never miss a beat.
Yep, the cashier's are crazy efficient. They can handle a rush hour crowd smoothly with no mistakes or hiccups, while running lottery tickets or grabbing cigarette pack too. The grab and go foods are surprisingly decent too.
A guy I know works as a maintence man for a Cadieux family member around their personal house. He said he is paid SO WELL and treated SO RESPECTFULLY that he will work for them til the day he dies! RESPECT right there!!
I'm a clerk for QT, and I can say I love my pay and benefits. They've treated me so well in the nearly 3 years I've worked for them. I'd love to retire from QT.
My older brother and Chet are friends from high school, can confirm... he is one of the nicest people, and Chester made sure that Chet worked in the store to ensure he'd understand the experience from every level. I remember Chester telling my dad that in the mid 80s.

I work for QT, why I asked you to make a video, and thank you! I’m only part-time, but I will say Quiktrip takes care of their employees heavily! I make $14.96 an hour but with the bonuses they give I make above $20, part time! I’m currently going to college and they pay for the entirety of my tuition as long as I keep my grades above a 3.5 GPA; outstanding company!

@@dty1207 not gonna lie that Casey’s pizza and the pork tenderloin sandwich is really good. And that chicken bacon ranch wrap is on point too. Haven’t been up that way in five years or more. @@bm1588 I agree with you, Kwik Star pizza is garbage compared to Casey's pizza, but I think Quick Star is better for everything else. Mostly because Quick Star has a produce and cheese selection, which is 90% of what I buy there.
I’ve never heard of quick trip until they built one near me a few months ago and it quickly became my favorite gas station. It’s always clean and their fountain drinks are well priced so I stop by somewhat often.
Every QuikTrip I've visited in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is much cleaner, vibrant, and well-stocked than 7 Elevens, which is incredible considering 7 Eleven is headquartered here. It’s awesome reading all of the positive comments from employees... speaks volumes about the leadership!
I'm in MN and actually briefly worked there, so I definitely want to see a video on Kwik Trip. I think they have a lot of interesting quirks about them. They vertically integrate a ton of things, like having their own dairy plant and donut factory and stuff. It's privately owned by one family, and their religious beliefs are why none of the stores sell condoms. They also do some nice stuff for employees like give 40% of their profits out as a bonus once a year.
As a born and raised Wisconsinite, I humbly request you do one of these videos on Kwik Trip please now that you've done Quik Trip (which I didn't know existed until now).
Wisconsin here, would love a video on Kwik Trip in the Upper Midwest, there is one 3 miles from me in a cornfield, its packed and smoked Casey's in town. Great video!
As an Iowan, QuikTrip is a gas station/continent store I’ve been familiar with my whole life. Other states like Wisconsin and Minnesota have places that are similar, but they’re spelled Kwik Trip. Keep up the great work man, take care!
Yay! Finally a QuikTrip video! ❤️ I go to college in Florida, and I'm back home in South Carolina so this was perfect timing for me! My highschool boyfriend worked at QT, and he was paid and treated very well. Never complained about the free banana freezes and flatbreads he'd always bring home too 🤗 Wawa will never be the same.
Every since I moved to Tulsa I been going to quick trip a lot but I genuinely did not know they were headquartered here lol that explains why there’s so damn many of them here
As a Wisconsin native, I will lay down my life on behalf of Kwik Trip in the upcoming Quick War. The quality varies, but a good kwik trip is like a grocery store and a decent restaurant put together. I live less than a quarter mile from one, and I'd say that's where I get maybe 1/3 of my meals.
I grew up in Iowa. Our small town had both a Kwik Trip and a QuickTrip. One thing that always stood out about QT was that they always had at least 2 employees on duty, even at 2:30 am. I think that's a corporate rule. It sure made making those lines move faster.
Oddly enough, "Kwik Trip" ranked #10 on that Forbes Customer Experience survey. Quik Trip or Kwik Trip, either way, looks like you can't lose! (I've never been to a Kwik Trip).
Indeed, the main reason I don't go to KwikTrip more often is because they're mostly in outer suburbs and rural areas, where land was available when they expanded over from Wisconsin in the past 20 years. I'm in an older inner suburb where KwikTrip just hasn't had room to build yet, so Holiday and (ugh) Speedway (formerly SuperAmerica) are my main options.
When they came to South Carolina we had a company called Spinx owned by a local who had a dominant hold on the area. The 2 agreed that QT would stay on the Interstate corridor and not invade the local communities and Spinx would not build to compete with QT. That didn’t last because Spinx decided to build a store in direct competition with QT. Well now QT has completely overwhelmed the local areas and cost Spinx so much money.
I have always loved QuikTrip. I miss it now that I moved away from Oklahoma. I really hope they come to Michigan. My step mom has worked for QuikTrip a long time and still does to this day at headquarters.
I’m from MN and recently visited Kansas City and was confused by the Quiktrips around the area and thought they were KwikTrips. If QT moves into MN they are going to have to modify its name locally.
QuikTrip is awesome. It’s probably the most popular gas station in my area. It’s been a personal favorite since childhood. The candy and snack selection is vast. When I was a kid they had a whole wall of different slushie flavors but that changed to Tea, Coffee, and other fountain beverages when slushie popularity died down. The thing about staff is true - I’ve never had a bad experience with QT employees. One big cool thing about QT in addition to their charitable donations is that it’s recognized as a safe place. So any victims of something like domestic abuse can come to a QT where they will be given a blanket, a place to hide, and a safe place to meet with local law enforcement. Not sure if they do that anymore but I remember reading about that over 10 years ago at this point but that fact never left my brain.
I knew the QuikTrip video would be filled with Kwik Star/Kwik Trip comments. It's palpable in the Upper Midwest, the days of QuikTrip are over for any state bordering Wisconsin.
One thing you forgot to mention is the bathrooms. They were one of the first gas stations I remember that always had a clean bathroom and a list on the door of when it was last cleaned. Any road trip or when you’re away from home and have to go quick trip is always the first place you look for.
I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. My dad always went there with me growing up. We moved to Columbus, OH when I was 18. A few years ago they added one in Nashville which I go to a few times a year. Was stoked about it but now there's one an hourish away in Dayton that opened a month ago. Super stoked on it. Go out of my way coming back from Cincinnati to stop there
Yeah, I fell in love with a quick trip in my city about two years ago. It looks awesome on the outside and it’s big and clean in the inside. Has a cool little restaurant. I mean everything about it is cool.
J always love QT food. Whether it’s a donut, roller grill item, pizza, you name it, I’m always very pleased with what I get, especially when you factor in the great price. QT truly is a blessing
QT was my first job. They truly treat their employees top tier. I’m in corporate America now and I was treated better as a 16 year old clerk than I am making 7x the salary 😂
Growing up in St. Louis, QuikTrip was always THE place. My mom got her gas almost exclusively from there, and being right next to my high school, it was the ideal place for an after-school snack and soda. It was just part of the experience. I live in Ohio now, but visit STL to see family every year. My last act of every visit is to fill up at QT, get a coffee, and some cans of Rooster Booster. If QT came to Dayton, Ohio, I would be their most loyal customer.
Quik note as someone in current employment for the atlanta district. They are closing the non gas store in Atlanta due to poor sales and security concerns after the... numerous local deaths and the close of the infamous racetrack not too far from there. Also, they are developing their own AI systems similar to Amazon's walk out system. But it's meant to monitor and track inventory, customers, and employees
I notice these device at some stores, never ask. I think waste of tech idea. Some scammer will try them. Many time seen person walk in, help them self and walk out like the invisible man..

You're the goat
I worked at QT for 3 years.
Yes, make a video on Kwik Trip please!
Kwik Trip is our mothership here in Wisconsin.
In college i was right in front of QT. Went their daily for coffee and cigs.
They also had fresher milk.
I've been to KwikTrip a few times. Their truck stops are the only truck stops I know that operate on volume and not margins.
In other words, their prices are fair, comparable to grocery stores.
I'm from Wisconsin and much more familiar with Kwik Trip, but have heard of Quik Trip.
And yes, do a video on Kwik Trip too.
Yes you should do a Kwik Trip video. Lived in MN my whole life and was shocked to find Kwik Trip is not more widespread in the country
Being from Minnesota, I must know the history of Kwik Trip!!
I didn't get that job, but I got a better one working for the state instead 🙂
being from Iowa it's weird not hearing it called Kwik Star.
As a fellow Tulsan, I know the feeling!
@@KirbyEatsCake123Same.
lol they’re gigantic in Kansas City.
They have an office here, I always assumed they were based here not Tulsa.
They are as far South as San Antonio... but they won't go further South than that because Stripes gas stations are king in South Texas.
Now I need a video on Kwik trip!
Finally!
Do they have some agreement that prevents them from opening stores in Houston Texas?
@@ki5aokno the next market they are expanding to is Houston
And there’s going to be a second one just close to Frontier City
Same reason why 7Eleven wasn't in any QT markets in Oklahoma
I've lived in Tulsa all my life, and QuikTrip is great! The employees are friendly, they're fast to check you out when you come up to the counter, and as you pointed out in the video, the food! Breakfast in particular if you ask me. One of the best sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits you'll find anywhere. They have them hot and ready if you just want to grab one in the morning, or if you're late to breakfast you can order one from the kitchen and they'll make it fresh, letting you customize it with your choice of cheese or adding jalapenos, onion, etc....
Kwik Trip be like: "stay out of my territory."
Say my name.
Kwik Trip also be like: "Never heard of that guy, MY name is Kwik Star, unrelated."
Who is the imposter?!
Insert a confused K-Kwik (R-Truth)
@@bjkarana Quik Star
I lived in WI. and loved 'K'wik Trip, they have a very nice food selection, from fresh to frozen ground beef.
the fresh food was tasty.
Would definitely love to see a video about Kwik Trip! I know they are loved in WI and MN
Kiwi Star is my wife’s and my favorite convenience store. We moved to Iowa three years ago and discovered how awesome it is shortly after.
When i used to do marketing surveys for gas stations. It was always a joy to go into a QuikTrip. Its like a more welcoming 7Eleven.
I was so confused since I'm a Minnesotan and we have Kwik Trip instead! My uncle is obsessed with them and I quite like them too, since they're always clean and their discount bakery items are always fun to look at in the evenings.
Kwik trip here in Minnesota is amazing. You should definitely do a video
Kwik Trip has an interesting ownership and history. They have also been on a big expansion. They would be worth doing a Company Man episode.
Kwik Trip needs to be a video. They were unheard of around here a few years ago and they built 6 where I live at the same time. They are blowing up in a hurry!
Hey you want a Kwik trip? Boom here’s six… yeah Kwik trip across the street from Kwik Trip
KwikTrips are the best gas stations I've ever been in. I'd love a deeper dive on them
One thing I have always liked about them, is how positive the experience is, any time you go there.
Buc'ees is also privately owned.
Yes, please do a Kwik trip. I worked there for 5yrs and is sounds like there’s a lot of similarities
Yes, please cover Kwik Trip. Everyone needs to know what a bag of milk is.
They actually stopped making bagged drinks earlier this year.
Definitely do one on the other KwikTrip!
They're lovely people I used to go to church with them
greetings from san antonio texas! this is awesome. i just came from there today. i fueled up and got a personal 3 meat pizza and sprite. i’m a new yorker that moved here in 2017 because of the military. i never drove when i lived in nyc, so getting to experience qt real quick is awesome. thank you for your videos company man.
Fingers crossed that he makes a video about Kwik Trip. As a former employee (5 years) I'm excited to see him cover my favorite company on Earth. Hope he talks about the 40% profit sharing.
I live in Milwaukee; and Kwik Trip is awesome. Frankly, it’s the best convenience store I’ve ever been to.
I visited Kwik Trip located in suburbs of Minneapolis and It was probably one of the cleanest gas stations. I didnt know quiktrip is different than Kwiktrip. I just found it weird first since I am used of quiktrip in Arizona & that gas station looked next level different.
I’m from Wisconsin and Kwik Trip is Goated here.
same in Iowa for Kwik Star
@@bm1588 not really, Iowa is Casey’s territory
@@dty1207 not gonna lie that Casey’s pizza and the pork tenderloin sandwich is really good. And that chicken bacon ranch wrap is on point too. Haven’t been up that way in five years or more. I always liked kwik star better. Do you remember that cheesy “We’re making it fresh- for you” Commercial? We used to laugh every time that thing came on.
@@bm1588 I agree with you, Kwik Star pizza is garbage compared to Casey's pizza, but I think Quick Star is better for everything else. Mostly because Quick Star has a produce and cheese selection, which is 90% of what I buy there.
@@Ryan-wr8fx yeah I miss that place. I used to always get my milk, bread, eggs, chips, bananas and potatoes there.
Qt is my favorite truck stop. I appreciate them. Kwik trip in Wisconsin is my second
Please do a full history on kwik trip/kwik star
I’ve never heard of quick trip until they built one near me a few months ago and it quickly became my favorite gas station. It’s always clean and their fountain drinks are well priced so I stop by somewhat often.
I mean you have to cover Kwik trip now. That just seems like the natural continuation of this video.
Yes do a video on the far superior Kwik Trip/Star. I have been wanting one for some time!
Such creative videos you’ve on this channel. Just subscribed!
Iowan here too. Though in my part of the state, Kwik Trip/Star is the dominant force, and I am greatful for it!
Yay! Finally a QuikTrip video! ❤️ I go to college in Florida, and I'm back home in South Carolina so this was perfect timing for me!
My highschool boyfriend worked at QT, and he was paid and treated very well. Never complained about the free banana freezes and flatbreads he'd always bring home too 🤗
Wawa will never be the same.
Every since I moved to Tulsa I been going to quick trip a lot but I genuinely did not know they were headquartered here lol that explains why there’s so damn many of them here
As an Oklahoman, we LOVE Quiktrip! They’re so fast, friendly, and always staffed! My favorite gas station! And they have the best hot dog bar 😂
said " As an Oklahoman . . . . . "
Does the wind really come sweeping down the plain?
I'm currently stuck out west, and we have no QTs here. I really miss getting a giant iced tea and a parmesan pretzel there.
As a Dedicated Kwik Trip worker, I’m excited to see the competition
Kwik Trip has a cult like following in the upper midwest, love their stores. They're becoming like our version of Wawa.
I love Kwik Trip. We don't have them in Illinois but I work in Kenosha so I go there frequently
As a Minnesotan, I thought this video was about Kwiktrip. I love our version
Oddly enough, "Kwik Trip" ranked #10 on that Forbes Customer Experience survey. Quik Trip or Kwik Trip, either way, looks like you can't lose! (I've never been to a Kwik Trip).
If you are ever in the Midwest, give a kwik trip a try! Honestly some of, if not the best gas stations around.
@@lorddeez1385 thanks! I'll try to remember to check one out next time I'm on a road trip.
QT is by far my favorite gas station. Great food and great service
It’s still around lol
I have always loved QuikTrip. I miss it now that I moved away from Oklahoma. I really hope they come to Michigan. My step mom has worked for QuikTrip a long time and still does to this day at headquarters.
I’m from MN and recently visited Kansas City and was confused by the Quiktrips around the area and thought they were KwikTrips. If QT moves into MN they are going to have to modify its name locally.
I’m from Tulsa, and a huge fan of the channel; I never thought I would see a QuikTrip episode!!
Go out of my way coming back from Cincinnati to stop there
The Q Tip! 😂😂 there are a lot here!
Yeah, I fell in love with a quick trip in my city about two years ago. It looks awesome on the outside and it’s big and clean in the inside. Has a cool little restaurant. I mean everything about it is cool.
And.... They provide their employees with dedicated health clinics, doctors, and services at no cost!! Great company ❤️
J always love QT food. Whether it’s a donut, roller grill item, pizza, you name it, I’m always very pleased with what I get, especially when you factor in the great price. QT truly is a blessing
QT is all over South Carolina, the state I live in, and they are awesome. Their soft serve ice cream is super underrated.
QT covers all the bases better than the rest . Great company ,
QT was my first job. They truly treat their employees top tier. I’m in corporate America now and I was treated better as a 16 year old clerk than I am making 7x the salary 😂
Happy Birthday Company Man Mike🎉🎉🎉! Thank you for all the years of videos! How lucky and grateful are we to have had you around another year☺️.
Id thought QT was a st louis company. They are the best in stl for sure
QT just opened a store in Dayton earlier this summer!!!
You did a video on Harbor Freight expanding and one opened up near me. A QT just opened up near me and you post this video - you’re on a roll!
That was really Actual Indians not Artificcial Intelligence you know
QT has been a staple for me daily here in the Atla area. as I make it a point to stop there for coffee, food from the great QT Kitchen, and just the fast customer service. I Love QT, and I highly recommend everyone to stop by for a great deal and fast service. 😊
