That was NOT his mum. His mother is beautiful and his dad is handsome and they both sing. Dimash is a perfect mixture of them in looks and in talent. They sung on stage with Dimash in a song called Dearest Mother.

I think this song and When I've Got You has done exactly what he intended it to do. It's expanded his fanbase to a much wider audience. Dimash has always been accused of singing old fashioned songs that only appeal to a bunch of old ladies but at the Istanbul concert on his birthday we saw a more diverse audience than ever before with many more young men vibing and singing along to these more beat driven songs.and for that I love these songs as Dimash needs an audience that are going to grow up with him.
Personally I love When I've Got You far more than Smoke but it's got that rock edge that I love and I'm seeing a lot of the younger reactors also connect with that song.

I think, people who just found Dimash would not know or perhaps never will realise how much Dimash has grown by trying to expand to a little more commercial type of music so they will never quite appreciate it. I dont think they'll ever know why Dimash's fans from years ago would appreciate Dimash doing these kind of music. I discovered Dimash 7 years ago. I think you are not a new fan as well. Your name seem familiar. When Dimash first did Screaming, I didnt like it. Although Screaming wasnt quite there yet but it slowly killed every one of those comments from haters who said he only sing boring sad songs and that he wasnt as skilled in all genres as claimed. I remember some people actualy said he would sound very bad if he tries pop. Some fans also did say, Dimash should do catchy pop songs in English if he wants to attract younger people in the west. When I think about all that, I think Dimash actually took this as a challenge. After all, even if he sings a few pop now, fans who already knows him for a long time should know, he will always stand by his root, classical and folk kazakh songs. Dont we know Dimash is not someone we can put in a box because he sing a few genre? lol

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this video grew on me, Tell u why: is an oriental comedic way of approaching the western " Mafia " Plus he just had fun. He's an " agent" with super vocal powers that can distract the gangs with the enchanted voice until police gets to them 🤣🤣🤣 it's just an invitation to relax, and not be on the always analytical side of things. I like the guest point of view in terms of when he said that it feels like a long introduction 🤣🤣🤣 which is interesting as Dimash is playing an exploring ways; that, is undeniable! He's an artist ! And a independent one! It also invites us to open up to oriental cultures and learn more about their context their way of thinking and living.

An amazing mixed genre song with gorgeous soprano and astonishingly beautiful vocal harmonies in which all the voices are his own, and a fun groovy vibe. He is obviously having lots of fun and isn't taking himself too seriously in this MV, and it's funny to see that some others do. It is exactly what Dimash has been always trying to do, I absolutely adore his last songs with all the combinations of blues, rock, pop, RNB, classical and so on. They are totally addictive.
I was introduced to both songs at his concert where he performed them first, and they were such a pleasure to watch and listen to.

Hi Y, newcomers to our prince can be so annoying since they do not get Dimash after only listening to a few songs, but pretend to know better. @DiaLinwen 3 месяца назад +11

@@WillemKok1963 I think this happens because they want to put him into a box. He is from Kazakhstan and did SOS in the contest, so they think this is what he should be about. Well, the thing is Dimash never was like that and never will be. They think he is changing direction because they are not familiar with all his past work.
Also, I am against calling an entire genre of music rubbish. In any genre you can find what you would consider good music. And moreover you can personally like or dislike a genre or a song, but calling it rubbish or crap is highly disrespectful.
Dimash has never been disrespectful to any musical genre. He always says he loves and wants to try them all. That's why he is the only artist I have been listening to on a daily basis for years - he covers any genre and style of music I can ever want to listen to and does it originally and brilliantly.
And by the way, they had better find a picture of his mom, before they claim she was in the video. No idea how they could have just decided that. Based on what?

The woman in the MV "Smoke" is not his mother. But I think American music producer Walter Afanasieff is in the video having fun. His mother can be seen in the video of his 2019 performance in Kiev. In it he sang a well-known Ukrainian folk song. The English title is "Marigolds". Dimash learned this song with his pianist the night before the concert and surprised his mother and the women in the audience for Mother's Day. Pure emotion, no vocal acrobatics, just dimash and piano. His mom was visibly touched. I think you'll like this better.

Rocko, Dimash found his legs at the tender age of five ...
One should also avoid uttering suppositions on a global
platform. As you can gather from the comments below,
his mother is a professional lyrical soprano and he hails
from a musical family firmly rooted in Kazakhstan's
entertainment industry. He purposely refused to bootlick
his way up the ladder to the western music industry in
order to protect his artistic integrity.
You are so underestimating this 30-year old musical
legend . He is a consummate professional, highly
educated in classical, pop, jazz, crossover and traditional
music. His fan base easily covers a billion, and his
multifaceted activities cover everything from modelling to
composing, filmmaking, directing and producing with the
input of his family. He counts famous music and film
moguls like Afanasieff, Foster, Igor Krutoy, Placido
Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Aida Garifullina, Lang Lang, Zia and Jackie Chan among his ardent admirers
and collaborators. He has been bestowed with civil
distinctions and UN ambassadorial functions and is
known for his humility and charitable activities.
So his legs have long carried him beyond normal human, artistic and career achievements. His voice defies expert analysis and he doesn't just cover different genres - he amalgamates them in one single song. Since Freddie Mercury first dabbled in the combination of rock and classical, Dimash has taken it to the stratosphere.
He's only just revealed a sliver of his talents and creativity.
I agree with you on guns, and thought that the teaser hinted towards an anti-gun message. Turns out it's both anti-gun and anti-drugs😊 in a nonviolent depiction.

Dimash has found his legs, I guarantee it. This video is really just humorous, nothing serious intended. It may even be Dimash's way of indirectly responding to Dears saying he needs to be in a Bond film. He will continue to do pop, classical, blues, contemporary, etc. He has said on several occasions he doesn't want to box himself into one genre, and he won't. He has a hand in everything he produces, from start to finish. As has been said, that is not his mother.

Dimash does hire actors in his MVs. Occasionally some friends or family members may appear in the videos. The song Together was a col!abortion of his brother and sister in the MV, but then the song was written by his little brother, so family togetherness. These type of MVs show the humorous side of Dimash and the fact that he doesn't take himself that seriously. Dimash has a lot of say when it comes to his MVs these days. FYI, the performance video is not live, its a dance video. Something he released to appease the Dears. And the old lady is definitely not his mom or grandma. The only live versions are fan cams as he only started singing this song and When I've Got You in December 2023.

Excerpts from the DimashNews (DN) interview with music producer Dmytro Gordon (DG):
DN: Dmytro, for 8 years you have been working alongside Walter Afanasieff in his company WallyWorld as a lead orchestrator and arranger, and you both have also written music for films.
(Dimash's friend and world-famous American music producer Walter Afanassieff plays a small role in the video: He wears a checked blue shirt over a white shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses and is one of the gangsters who drive up in the car and bring the drugs.)
What are the similarities and differences between producing music for renowned artists in the US and working with Dimash?
DG: „I would say that Dimash is much more open to experimentation than any other artist I have had the pleasure of working with so far. When it comes to an established artist with an existing fan base, they and their label are usually very cautious about trying new styles, new vocal techniques or anything that might confuse or alienate their core audience. And that makes sense, but the catch is that after a while their repertoire stagnates.
Dimash is the bravest artist I know to date: he deeply respects and cares about his dears, but he's not afraid to try new things, which he proves time and time again, including his latest releases. On a personal level, our collaboration has also evolved into a friendship, for which I'm forever grateful. It's much more authentic and fun to make music as friends, rather than just as collaborators. Ask the Beatles.
SMOKE... is completely modern, even experimental in certain aspects. Yes, it has an operatic vocalise in the choruses, but the context in which we hear it makes it impossible to pigeonhole it into a genre. It's also minimalist and open when it comes to the vocal melodies, harmonic content and instrumental textures (though it's not easy, and Dimash's unique vocal skills still shine through). Every musical decision in Smoke is super precise: take one thing away, and the song falls apart. Add another element - and it becomes oversaturated. That's how I would describe it.
... It's such a joy and an incredible privilege to work with Dimash, who I truly consider to be one of the best musicians in human history.
And then to receive all the love and gratitude from his fan base just feels heavenly. I'm so grateful to everyone who supported these new releases and who took the risk with us to open their hearts and ears to the new, unknown sides of Dimash. As for the new works - I don't want to spoil any surprises yet. But to quote a classic: «Soon!»

I have been introducing him to every friend and acquaintance that I can convince to listen to him for years which has even resulted in one senior acquaintance making two difficult and challenging trips from my part of the world to where Dimash was entertaining in order to see him in person. That being said, I agree with Joel in that I don't care for the direction that his past two songs and music videos are taking him. Yes, I fully understand that they are parodies and that Dimash's creativity allows him to dabble in different genres and I love that about him and hope he continues to do so. I simply don't like the themes of these two videos because they give off a sense of being rather juvenile and mediocre. Nothing against Dimash personally, of course. Just a matter of poor choice material. There. I said it.

Another reactor had a lot of funny things to say about everything they did wrong with the guns! I'm not really a fan of Dimash's pop songs, but I've seen a lot of young reactors who really like this song. I think Dimash is trying out some songs that will be more "Western Pop" friendly. Even if I'm a fan of a singer, I don't always like all of their songs. I did think the video was fun though because of Angent DQ. The "Be with Me" video was funnier though- because the character Dimash played was so NOT like the Dimash I've seen in all the online videos. I really don't think that older lady is Dimash's mom! Her face isn't any thing like that! Even if they put make up on her! I enjoyed your conversation. 🇨🇦

I think it is what would be called a satire. His voice sounds like a siren. And he is in essence a "siren" like the old mermaids that would control people with their voices...... He was able to walk in and make both /groups/gangs be held captive and control them by his singing (with no violence) so that the cops could come in and scoop them up. . 😂😂😂

No es bueno llevar tan mal las críticas, ellos admiran a Dimash y yo también, muchísimo pero las prisas no son buena idea y todo no tiene que resultar perfecto. Gracias 🎻🇪🇸

You guys should react to Ikanaide if you haven't already. You didn't like that song so I wonder what Rocko's opinion of that performance would be. Could very well be differing opinions.

Party, respect your constructive criticism to Dimashs new stuff and you’re not liking it. And, you’re a reactor so that’s what we get. But you’re like the new reactor coming to hear Dimash sing sos in French.., do3s he do English? I like heavy metal, this is not my genre , I would like this or that from Dimash. That’s the problem of you coming from your industry an American industry, Dimash has no producer under contract. He has his whole life and genuis to play in the music field as an adult prodigy to do as he wants. As a reactor you present music to the RUclips music out of your comfort zone. When you first heard Dimash you went down a different rabbit hole than you had ever been down introducing your audience every country citizempns on the earth tuned not yiutybe. We dears enjoy this hip hop opera a first of its kind, Dimash giving us a taste of opera like no other opera singer can do. This was not a filmed video with the ending thrown on because they didn’t understand what the video meant. Dimash has always been thought of as a James Bond type actor and in be with me using his red belt in taekwando to fight the bad guys. He is an actor and story teller. He thought this DQ agent thing out as he does with all his stories and videos. It was a drug deal from the beginning and he was an agent throughout the video that we the audience don’t understand till the end. Don’t short change dimashs artistry because you your pself don’t understand.

Oh, Good Lord...that is NOT his mom. Please find things out before spreading misinformation. She doesn't even look anywhere NEAR that. His mom is much, much younger and quite beautiful. And this group looks Mexican. You guys are missing the whole point. You're basing your critique on this video on the whole premise that it's not that "good" because of the gangsters, but in reality is that Dimash is trying to go outside of the box to appeal to a whole other category of listeners. If anything, whatever platform or genre he delves into is better than anyone else can possibly perform and he is certainly not one to stay within one category. I'm not a fan of the video, myself, because of the gangsters theme but I've seen a bunch of reactors that love it. I much prefer the performance video and I do love the song. Good for him in expanding himself.

It seems to me Dimash is influenced by his friend Jackie Chan in one or two of his videos as well as his idol MJ. He's just having fun with them, I'm not sure they're aimed at a younger audience I just feel, there's a lot of Dimash's own humour in there and the type of films he enjoyed growing up. Creative licence. I do prefer live performances but that's just me. Either way, it's a matter of personal taste

I liked the live version better. I also found the story kind of confusing at first watch. The storyline was so much clearer in the vampire one. Also, he needs to come up with some other poses. He’ll get there. He has a lot going on-and it’s all about the voice for me anyway.

Joel, I liked your idea of introducing your friends to Dimash, but gradually your blogs turned from introduction to judgmental condescension. It's worth checking out The Punk Rock MBA's Rockism, subtitled Stop It! I know you bloggers don't look at the blogs of your colleagues, but Finn McKenty says a lot of true things, especially relevant in this case. And one more thing, Walter Afanasieff would've hardly put his name on the line and starred in this clip had his opinion even remotely matched yours. If you don't know who he is, look him up on Wikipedia. And it would be best to leave messing with Dimash, it is more worthy to look for new content.

JOEL, DIMASH HAS BEEN DOING POP SONGS EVER SINCE HE WAS A KID!! Just a tiny bit of searching is all it will take and you will see that he was doing pop songs all along. This song is nothing new. The whole thing was a parody! It was a ridiculous joke, that Dimash could entrance all the gangsters with his siren-like voice and get them to groove until the cops showed up. Congrats Joel, now you have succeeded in getting Rocko to start nitpicking on Dimash. Why don't you compare this video to all the other pop music that's out there these days? If you think it is stupid & repetitive, why don't you compare it with all the utterly stupid, repetitive and vapid pop videos out there? I'm afraid I am seeing the beginnings of turning from a shallow fan into a hater...I'm not unsubbing yet, but if this trend continues I'm outta here.

I actually really love this MV plus his last 'pop' vampire video. I love it when Dimash uses his sense of humour & enjoys himself so much. I think this was all his idea too. Also, if you notice Agent DQ doesn't carry a gun....just his voice. Justice wins in the end without violence, as he shows us. As for not 'getting it'!?!? Sorry I don't understand that.🤔🤔
