Wait.... You brought back the intro. Hallelujah! Been a while. For an older model, it definitely is much more impressive than its HGUC counterpart which is ashame as you'd imagine they'd implement a similar transformation this guy has onto the new one. Guess Bandai don't really want to invest much in making a better HG Zeta Gundam. Also, loving the HD Video, definitely gives us a better look at the detail of the kit. Keep up the good work.
This was actually the first version of Zeta I saw. A friend of mine owned it long before I saw the Anime. Never noticed the different wing binders and for years I thought they were supposed to look that way.
For me, partsforming is not a problem as long as we don't need a zipbag for extra parts. If this model can store the head in its body after its chest is lifted up, this would have been the perfect zeta gundam kit, and I had hoped that was how the evolution one should be.
Well apparently Bandai's feeling nostalgic too! The Zeta Wave Shooter is getting released using the recently released "Advanced Evolution" HGUC Zeta Gundam! Its a P-Bandai, but I think its appropriate. I might pick one up just because I like the design!
I tend to prefer partsforming if it means the mobile suit itself or the mobile armor are better than giving up accuracy, but I do like the artistic license here, in part since i just flat out like the Zeta Plus' transformation more
Yes! I would choose this over RG and HGUC Zeta Gundam, now I think most of its parts are swap-able with the HGUC Zeta or more likely the Lightning Zeta
So, @kakarot197 in lieu of the release of the new P-Bandai HGUC version of this design, which kit would you say you prefer more? The new one seems a lot more barebones compared to the original, but does its improved articulation and tweaked proportions make up for it?
It's neither you, nor my cam, it's indeed the plastic that has a slight green tinge to it. It's not that noticeable when it's on its own, but next to a white kit, it's pretty obvious. Greenish white happened with several other kits from this time period.
I personally prefer a parts-forming Zeta. I like the design of Zeta very much and I want to have a flexible and well proportioned HG Zeta that parts-forms rather than having everything sacrificed for the transformation.
Huh. That tail fin sounds fam-- *looks at Hi-v Vrabe* . . . *HORRI SHEETT!!*. Also, the HGUC Z just got obliterated by his younger brother, the HG Accelerate Evolution
I always took the design of the Zeta series transformations as a direct challenge to all possibility of a perfect transformation... and personally find that it's ABSOLUTELY not worth it in the slightest.
its rare, this z, zz, zpluc1 etc are a very ugly and looks weird in 144 models but are a very good enginering, the anctual hgcu 144 and revive edition need to change and pop off some parts to transfomr in a base block
On one hand, I really want to kitbash this old HG Zeta with the new HGUC Zeta Revive to get the best if both worlds. But on the other hand, that endeavour is not worth the sacrifice of a really rare vintage model kit 😕🤦♂️
Wait....
You brought back the intro.
Hallelujah!

Hehe, good to see that the first comment was about the intro =D
Kakarot197
You bet, it's the iconic intro to your channel. Glad to see it's back.
Kakarot197 are you excited for the revive zeta? personally I can't wait for it.
Taylor McHone #UmActually It's the Accelerate Evolution Zeta!
I think they changed it back to HGUC.
This is the old HG that I want the most, might not be the best, but I love the Waveshooter Zeta.
My very first Gunpla, which I got way back in 1993. And even after over two decades, it's still with me. I just need time to restore it.
I had it too, the grey hip transformation joint slapped XD
I wish they do a Zeta plus (with all backpack and weapon variations) revive with this as a base for the kit.
I may buy this. I like the 90s look and it’s quite cheap for it’s age. Thank you for this review.
its great to see you review Vintage kits, bcs actually there isnt much on RUclips. just keep them coming.
This was actually the first version of Zeta I saw. A friend of mine owned it long before I saw the Anime. Never noticed the different wing binders and for years I thought they were supposed to look that way.
Whaaatttttt!!!!!!!
It actually transforms!!!!!!
From 1990!!!!!
Much better than the HG we have today!!!!!
True m8
After watching this .
Me : is bandai downgrading their model kits ??
Update : I found one in Malaysia around 10 dollars. Lucky
For me, partsforming is not a problem as long as we don't need a zipbag for extra parts. If this model can store the head in its body after its chest is lifted up, this would have been the perfect zeta gundam kit, and I had hoped that was how the evolution one should be.
I wish bandai looked back at this kits and updated them with better plastic.
I actually kinda like the Zeta Plus wing binders on this guy. If they ever made an HG Zeta Gundam Wave Shooter, I'd totally pick it up!
Well apparently Bandai's feeling nostalgic too! The Zeta Wave Shooter is getting released using the recently released "Advanced Evolution" HGUC Zeta Gundam! Its a P-Bandai, but I think its appropriate. I might pick one up just because I like the design!
If I remeber correctly I think this version of the zeta gundam appeared in the manga version of zeta gundam, where Kammile dies.
So what happened to G-unit week for February
16:41 what bothers me is the fact kakarot has still not painted either of those model kits
The looks of Zeta Gundam always reminds me of Optimus Prime.
I freaking love the Zeta Gundam.
I've been looking forward to this review!
-glorious shooting song announces the intro- I missed it
I am VERY impressed by its Waverider mode. Even beside the fact that it can do it at all, it actually look pretty good.
Hi Kakarot. I’m a contributor to the Gundam Wiki. How do you feel about sending a pure picture as the wiki has no image for the cover.
you can see the folded arm after it transformed.
personally I'd love it if a kit can transform without partsforming like the HG ZZ unlike her updated kit the HGUC ZZ v-v
I tend to prefer partsforming if it means the mobile suit itself or the mobile armor are better than giving up accuracy, but I do like the artistic license here, in part since i just flat out like the Zeta Plus' transformation more
Arrowdodger actually the zeta gundam transformation is pretty simple this nearly perfectly replicates it except for the wing binders of course
no mention of the new HGUC Zeta Gundam?
Yes! I would choose this over RG and HGUC Zeta Gundam, now I think most of its parts are swap-able with the HGUC Zeta or more likely the Lightning Zeta
System injection molding is a masking nightmare if you want to paint, though.
I'll wait for the new HG Zeta Gundam that due to come out this year.
Oldest HGUC v Gundam review please
You mean the no grade Nu gundam? Because I already did a review of the HGUC: ruclips.net/video/8Wmi_Sy0TXA/видео.html
So, @kakarot197 in lieu of the release of the new P-Bandai HGUC version of this design, which kit would you say you prefer more? The new one seems a lot more barebones compared to the original, but does its improved articulation and tweaked proportions make up for it?
You hear they're making this using the Revive AE base?
Why did Bandai stop using system injection molding?
Well, a modeller has to practice custom painting somehow. No offense but if they still use injection molding, I wouldn't call them MODEL kits.
16:41 what bothers me is the fact kakarot has still not pianted either of those model kits
I honestly want that Guidebook for Drawing References
is it your camera or is it me and the plastic has a strange greenish tinge to it?...whats up with that?
It's neither you, nor my cam, it's indeed the plastic that has a slight green tinge to it. It's not that noticeable when it's on its own, but next to a white kit, it's pretty obvious. Greenish white happened with several other kits from this time period.
I preordered it yesterday =D
I personally prefer a parts-forming Zeta. I like the design of Zeta very much and I want to have a flexible and well proportioned HG Zeta that parts-forms rather than having everything sacrificed for the transformation.
I'm going to buy Zeta gunpla. Should I buy this or the Real Grade one?
Pretty awesome kit but why did my first comment disappear?
Because this is a different video. The lighting should be more vibrant, the edit slipup fixed and the intro is back =3
Kakarot197 ok makes sense then
Are you going to buy the new accelerated line HG of gundam zeta? I heard it's going to be released on april.
Huh. That tail fin sounds fam-- *looks at Hi-v Vrabe* . . . *HORRI SHEETT!!*. Also, the HGUC Z just got obliterated by his younger brother, the HG Accelerate Evolution
This is the Accelerate Evolution version?
D Beat No, but I was talking outside of the review.
Oh. My mistake.
Some elements of this kit have more detail than high grades that came out in the last 10 years
I guess we could call this the Zeta 1.5, since it takes some points from the Zeta Plus
Kakarot197 is Hazel madness over?
Nope, it's just on hiatus. When it returns will depend on my other projects :p
Kakarot197 well I,ll be wait for the madness to return. :D
what happened to hazel madness?
Can i have your opinion on zeta gundam.(the anime)
As if you needed another reason not to buy this kit, the Z Gundam is being released next month as the start to the HG Accelerate Evolution line.
But is it the Waveshooter Type?
ExtremeSManpig no, it's the regular Z Gundam, but it does come with the hyper mega launcher
But what if I want the waveshooter type? :)
mcfeliz200 still partsform though .... Kinda disappointing
I always took the design of the Zeta series transformations as a direct challenge to all possibility of a perfect transformation... and personally find that it's ABSOLUTELY not worth it in the slightest.
toycolorwarz1 depends in how they engineer the articulation you can make a highly possable MS even if it has a transformation
at the cost of stability to one mode or the other? not a chance, especially not at this scale.
toycolorwarz1 Again it depends on how they engineer the transformation with himges amd locks its definitely possible to make the transformable
I doubt that highly, and again at this scale I don't even want that.
its rare, this z, zz, zpluc1 etc are a very ugly and looks weird in 144 models but are a very good enginering, the anctual hgcu 144 and revive edition need to change and pop off some parts to transfomr in a base block

It now actually called Wave shooter instead of Wave rider
What the h*eck how did the ew kits suck so bad when these high grades are so good, man I am salty
AAKPROD weren't endless waltz kits better than the normal HG Gundam wing kits
Well, i think this one is better than the RG
And i'm serious
It doesn't seem to be a complete mess, so I guess it is!
The Gundam Rose breaks my heart. I like the mobile suit, but the model kit is terrible.
The Revive version is coming soon enough
어~뭔가 이상해!
What... The frick
