First of all the only way the Yankees are going to make it to the World Series and when they must upgrade their bullpen with a possible lefty, the man from Miami, they must make their bench stronger and the two corner infielders they must replace and then they go to the World Series and win! 💪💪
Move Poteet and/or Cortes to long relief when Cole and Schmidt get back, trade for at least 1-2 more bullpen arms, move Judge to first base and bench Rizzo when Dominguez gets back, trade for Ryan McMahon or Luis Rengifo to play third base, and replace Austin Wells with Ben Rice if he continues to struggle. That would be my strategy, at least ;o)
In this situation, here's what I'd do:
1. Call up Dominguez, give Judge the first base glove, and move Rizzo to the bench
2. Swing a trade for either Ryan McMahon or Luis Rengifo to fill in at third base
3. Replace Austin Wells with Ben Rice if he continues to struggle
That would give us a postseason lineup something like this:
1. Anthony Volpe, SS
2. Jasson Dominguez, CF
3. Juan Soto, RF
4. Aaron Judge, 1B
5. Giancarlo Stanton, DH
6. Ben Rice, C
7. Ryan McMahon/Luis Rengifo, 3B
8. Alex Verdugo, LF
9. Gleyber Torres, 2B
Bring up The Martian and Jones and Rice and see what happens.
First base YES but i have to see a little more of DJ to see if there is something still there. The weakest link is at first base. They have to do something about that and i don't think they going to do it, since Rizo is so close to Judge and he's big in the club house as well
2B- Ketel Marte
3B- Isaac Paredes
1B- Ben rice
After the all star break🙏
This team needs a true closer ...otherwise FORGRETTABOUTITTTT!!!!
or mason miller
Trade Luis Rengifo to the Yankees & have Ben Rice do some 1st base
I'd give Judgey the first base glove once Dominguez gets back and have Ben Rice replace Austin Wells if he continues to struggle. My first trade choice for third base would be Ryan McMahon, but Luis Rengifo is a solid option too ;o)
It's too bad that the Padres moved really quickly for Luis Arráez. He It would have been a perfect fit for the Yankees.
THE NEW YORK YANKEES NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT FIRST BASE
We can either move Judge to first base once Dominguez gets back, or call up Ben Rice ;o)
how about traing for nolan arenado, matt chapman, Luis Rengifo, or vladimer gurerro jr
Gleyber has picked it up? Are you friggin' kidding me? What games are you watching? DUMP TORRES FIRST!
He’s had a hit his past 5 games?
@@timothylovas1589 Oh, whoop de do! Let's induct him in the baseball Hall of Fame. Wake up man.
Gleyber had a good May. Rizzo hasn’t been good at all
@@ubereats3047 Rizzo will improve. He's had a stellar career to back it up. He's great in the clubhouse and a fine fielder. Torres has underachieved his entire career and lately he's been making costly errors. No comparison to Rizzo. Get rid of him.
@@SmokinGun55 Just because Rizzo was an MVP candidate nearly a decade ago and was good 2 years ago doesn’t mean he’ll magically be alright. The guy has been terrible since the injury with Tatis and is currently doing worse than Torres at every facet of the game. He has an OPS+ of 73 vs Gleyber’s 86 and at least Gleyber is actually improving recently. Rizzo is also 34 years old he’s getting way too up there in age
