I think Poseidon is potentially the strongest of the gods however he is also the most burdened god as he has to deal with so many other powerful water gods who could rebel. He almost missed the battle in the last olympian because other water gods were threatening Atlantis.

I mean homer's illiad does state poseidon to be the power behind zues' thrown which would make sense since he's the oldest of the three, and when the other gods planned to overthrow zeus they went to poseidon to ask for his help, they themselves told him without him their attempt wouldn't be successful which can be interpreted in two ways, either poseidon can overpower zeus or if poseidon were to protect zeus none of the other gods combined would be able to take him down
I would have definitely put Aphrodite on the list. I mean, Piper almost lulled Gaia back to sleep and there is no way she couldn't do that too. It is stated that Aphrodite considers herself the oldest and most powerful goddess. Also in terms of feats I think Demeter should also be granted a spot in the Top 10. She literally created the seasons when Persephone was kidnapped. So I would replace Ares and Hermes with Aphrodite and Demeter.

Actually in the Percy Jackson canon it is said that none of the second generation Olympians (meaning the different children of Zeus and Aphrodite herself) exceeds in power the 6 children of Kronos and Rhea. So the first 6 positions should be occupied by them.

In Greek mythology, Ares actually is a pretty decent father. When his son died, he mourned over it. But, there are different versions of Greek mythology, so I’m not complaining about what Rick did. Expect for make Zoë, Bianca, Bob, Damasen, possibly small bob, and Jason die. Also Percabeth falling into Tartarus.

Honestly, Apollo should be first because he completed feats no other god would step up to do apart from his sister Artemis. He also came inches away from Chaos and survived and in the Trials of Apollo, it says that barely any god came into Tartarus and no god even came close to Chaos. It even says that the other gods feared chaos but Apollo knew how he must destroy Python and took the risk, knowing he most likely will be absorbed.☀

I always thought a god we needed to really see in universe was Morpheus, he's one of those gods who gets down played in terms of power and influence. All gods slept, and of his siblings he was by far the most powerful. While asleep they were at his mercy for dreams and nightmares. If Aphrodite get's feared for her power to influence the gods with love, then Morpheus' ability to manipulate and control the god's dreams and nightmares needs consideration also.

Yeah, no. Zeus is still definitely #1 in the Riordanverse. You forgot that he can just, like, revoke godhood altogether. It is probably his most defining skill. The entire trials of apollo series was based around Zeus just yoinking Apollo's godhood away, and he's done it to Poseidon too. If the big three ever fought, Zeus could probably just turn Hades and Poseidon mortal and crush them like ants. Not only that, but the master bolt is powerful enough to "Make mortal nukes look like firecrackers", which far out-feats the Trident or Helm of Darkness. I know that I'm a total Zeus apologist, and I think he's a doucher too, don't get me wrong, but he shouldn't be number 3 just because Poseidon and Hades are better characters. In Greek Mythology itself, not technically the Riordanverse but the Trojan War is still canon in the Riordanverse meaning that it is probably still true, Zeus addresses the other Olympians in the Iliad by basically saying "I am so much stronger than you, that if you wrapped a cable around my arm on one end, the entire earth on the other, and every single one of you pulled it with all of your might, you would not bring me an inch closer to the ground. Furthermore, I could lift the earth and all of you over my head and swing you around like a lasso" When this was written in the Iliad, the poet seemed to mean it literally, and the other Gods took this threat seriously, implying that Zeus could actually do this, which isn't hard to believe.

I think that Hermes is as weak as Aphrodite, never really did much in the series. Hera should be at least in the 8th place. Poseidon is definitely equal to his brothers, that's kind of the point of the Big three. If you ask me to rank the big three I would say zeus, Poseidon and Hades. Ares could have killed percy, percy got a lucky shot, percy himself said that battling Ares was too much for him and that Ares was holding back greatly and he would have killed percy but Kronos had intervened in between. Demeter is also powerful but on par with Hephasetus and he can't do anything unless he has some metalworking things with him meanwhile Demeter is all about natural forces which are available everywhere and Demeter would likely get the upper hand. As for Hermes and Aphrodite it is Aphrodite as no one can resist the allure of Aphrodite and her charmspeak will give her an advantage. Sorry for disagreeing with basically you whole video. In the series also Hephasetus has shown less power than Demeter , at least we saw her battling the Monsters in the last Olympian and Aphrodite has shown more power than hermes. They barely show the powers of big three but Hades is still first. Also you forgot that Hades has influence over magma as it's underground and that Artemis battled with a Titan directly after holding the weight of the sky for a few days.

i just think its understated that poseidon defeated typhon in less time than it took him to cross the river to manhattan, when all the other gods were struggling, poseidon came in and embarassed typhon (i knew typhon was weakened and so were the other gods but still a massive feat as he was weakened from oceanus, too)

Even if they are, theres plenty of soldiers in the underworld with years of experience and possibly monsters vs spirits who may not have the same amount of training or expertise in combat

Skilled warriors yes, but each one less powerful than the Spirits used by Zues and Posiedon. The undead demigod soldiers, would be stand a fair chance against a spirit tho

Poseidon is my favorite god but, as much as I dislike Zues, he's still stronger than Poseidon even in the Percy Jackson series. He went toe to toe with Poseidon without his mater bolt and he can strip any gods, including Poseidon and Hades, immortality away in a jiffy. That alone is proof enough that he's the strongest
He can’t take away any of his siblings immortality only his children’s or minor gods and Poseidon is more powerful in both the Percy Jackson books and real myth

After the Olympian rebellion he stripped Apollos and Poseidon's immortality and forced them to build the walls of Troy. This was mentioned by Apollo in the Trials of Apollos first book which means Zues can do this even in Percy Jackson series

This video is based on Percy Jackson and feats which were shown in the books. Non of the gods mentioned showed any remarkable feats. Dinonysos was the knocked from his chariot while fighting typhon, Hestia didn’t even participate in the fight and never showed her supposed power. Heck hestia was shown to be nervous when Hermes was unhappy. Doesn’t really paint the best picture. In her own words she is the most lesser of gods. Aphrodite merely threw petals in her fight with her giant bane and Demeter is scarcely mentioned in the pj books

That's based mainly on his position as the King of the Gods. If Zeus wasn't King, his power wouldn't match his older brothers who let him be King because they weren't as ambitious (that's implied in PJO not necessarily in the actual myths). Also, Poseidon isn't afraid of him, it's pretty obvious since he's willing to go to war instead of just trying to convince Zeus that he doesn't the bolt in TLT which is easier but hurts his pride. Also the rebellion was foiled mainly because someone helped Zeus escape, and more importantly because the gods were asking Zeus to be a better king not exactly attempting to overthrow him (again in the TLT not really in the myths).

@@shadowhunter2190 First up I'm referring to the TLT where it is said that the Poseidon and the rest were attempting to "make Zeus into a better king". That was their main goal at least in the PJO universe which is being discussed. The actual myths might differ but there's many version to them anyways. More importantly Zeus was rescued, he didn't free himself. As for the quest, Poseidon is sending Percy to prevent an unnecessary war. Like Chiron says, Poseidon's pride wouldn't allow him to convince Zeus, which he would have done if he was actually afraid (keep in mind both Poseidon and Hades have their own kingdoms with separate palaces that are grander than Zeus' kingdom on Olympus). Again the point is that Zeus has a lot of power as the King of Olympus such as sentencing people to punishments, but it's not his power, its the power of his position. If he is replaced by say, Poseidon or Hades, they would have the same authority and Zeus wouldn't be able to do anything about it. The reason Zeus was able to immediately punish four gods after being freed was because he was still king and hadn't given up any power. If anyone else replaced him he wouldn't be able to do that. On an individual basis both Poseidon and Hades are more powerful because they are older and have more diverse and dangerous domains. I mean Percy can create storms and cause devastation on land and those are not even Poseidon' main domains over the sea. That's more than any son of Zeus can do.
@@huba1378 that's because Percy is the main character, and if you're going about domain Zeus main domain is the Sky that covers the entire planet, so his domain is far greater than both Hades and Poseidon, and if age mettered why is Hestia the weakest of her sibilings, why Demeter didn't destroyed her brothers when they raped her, why Hera is not able to defeat Zeus if she is older than him, and finally why Kronos the youngest of the Titans was the most powerful of them. Plus Percy managed to “defeat” hades in his own domain. So in pjo I always found it difficult to Like hades. Dude wasn’t even physically present in giant war. And again when did the gods treat hades unfairly ? The domains were chosen by luck and in Greek myths which pjo follows hades doesn’t come to Olympus because he didn’t want to be involved in family drama and liked his own domain. I mean homer's illiad does state poseidon to be the power behind zues' thrown which would make sense since he's the oldest of the three, and when the other gods planned to overthrow zeus they went to poseidon to ask for his help, they themselves told him without him their attempt wouldn't be successful which can be interpreted in two ways, either poseidon can overpower zeus or if poseidon were to protect zeus none of the other gods combined would be able to take him down
I would have definitely put Aphrodite on the list. I mean, Piper almost lulled Gaia back to sleep and there is no way she couldn't do that too. It is stated that Aphrodite considers herself the oldest and most powerful goddess.
Also in terms of feats I think Demeter should also be granted a spot in the Top 10. She literally created the seasons when Persephone was kidnapped.
So I would replace Ares and Hermes with Aphrodite and Demeter.

In Greek mythology, Ares actually is a pretty decent father. When his son died, he mourned over it. But, there are different versions of Greek mythology, so I’m not complaining about what Rick did. Expect for make Zoë, Bianca, Bob, Damasen, possibly small bob, and Jason die. Also Percabeth falling into Tartarus.

I always thought a god we needed to really see in universe was Morpheus, he's one of those gods who gets down played in terms of power and influence. All gods slept, and of his siblings he was by far the most powerful. While asleep they were at his mercy for dreams and nightmares. If Aphrodite get's feared for her power to influence the gods with love, then Morpheus' ability to manipulate and control the god's dreams and nightmares needs consideration also.

Yeah, no. Zeus is still definitely #1 in the Riordanverse. You forgot that he can just, like, revoke godhood altogether. It is probably his most defining skill. The entire trials of apollo series was based around Zeus just yoinking Apollo's godhood away, and he's done it to Poseidon too. If the big three ever fought, Zeus could probably just turn Hades and Poseidon mortal and crush them like ants. Not only that, but the master bolt is powerful enough to "Make mortal nukes look like firecrackers", which far out-feats the Trident or Helm of Darkness. I know that I'm a total Zeus apologist, and I think he's a doucher too, don't get me wrong, but he shouldn't be number 3 just because Poseidon and Hades are better characters.
In Greek Mythology itself, not technically the Riordanverse but the Trojan War is still canon in the Riordanverse meaning that it is probably still true, Zeus addresses the other Olympians in the Iliad by basically saying "I am so much stronger than you, that if you wrapped a cable around my arm on one end, the entire earth on the other, and every single one of you pulled it with all of your might, you would not bring me an inch closer to the ground. Furthermore, I could lift the earth and all of you over my head and swing you around like a lasso"
When this was written in the Iliad, the poet seemed to mean it literally, and the other Gods took this threat seriously, implying that Zeus could actually do this, which isn't hard to believe.

He has a basically immortal army... if you kill one of them.. well... they just come back as if nothing would've happen. And! Honestly I think Poseidon is more powerful than Zeus. He has domains in the earth as the creator of earthquake, in the sky as the bringer of seas storms an in the sea as the lord of the sea.

I think that Hermes is as weak as Aphrodite, never really did much in the series. Hera should be at least in the 8th place. Poseidon is definitely equal to his brothers, that's kind of the point of the Big three. If you ask me to rank the big three I would say zeus, Poseidon and Hades. Ares could have killed percy, percy got a lucky shot, percy himself said that battling Ares was too much for him and that Ares was holding back greatly and he would have killed percy but Kronos had intervened in between. Demeter is also powerful but on par with Hephasetus and he can't do anything unless he has some metalworking things with him meanwhile Demeter is all about natural forces which are available everywhere and Demeter would likely get the upper hand. As for Hermes and Aphrodite it is Aphrodite as no one can resist the allure of Aphrodite and her charmspeak will give her an advantage. Sorry for disagreeing with basically you whole video. In the series also Hephasetus has shown less power than Demeter , at least we saw her battling the Monsters in the last Olympian and Aphrodite has shown more power than hermes. They barely show the powers of big three but Hades is still first. Also you forgot that Hades has influence over magma as it's underground and that Artemis battled with a Titan directly after holding the weight of the sky for a few days.
Hephaestus he is more support but we cannot forget that in modern times if Hephaestus reads Japanese works he would definitely build a Gundam or Megazord, Demeter has more advantage because of Gaia's body but if it was in the desert she could be defeated easily, Aphrodite the only thing she cares about is sleeping with beautiful people because her daughters have a ritual where they cheat on their current boyfriend just like she did with Hephaestus and she approves of it

Hephaestus is physically one of the strongest gods, he´s probably in 3rd or 2nd place in PHYSICAL STRENGTH. He also controls fire which makes him very much NOT harmless
Hermes is also the god of swordsmanship, so he should be in 7th place or 8th place idk
Hera is the queen of gods and the six first olympians are canonically stronger than the other olympians so she´s 4th place

i just think its understated that poseidon defeated typhon in less time than it took him to cross the river to manhattan, when all the other gods were struggling, poseidon came in and embarassed typhon (i knew typhon was weakened and so were the other gods but still a massive feat as he was weakened from oceanus, too)

Hades is my favourite
He sent 100+ monsters(not sure of exact figure) to kill thalia, Luke, AnnaBeth. Cursed the oracle, tried to kill Percy through furies when he was 12 repeatedly, kidnapped Percy’s mom, also sent the Minotaur against him. He tried to kill Percy again when he was 16, trapped him in a jail, was ready to see Olympus be destroyed.Not really misunderstood. In Greek mythology I do agree that hades is shown to be more fair and has less if any hatred for his brothers but in PJ ? Yikes the guy tried to murder halfbloods by sending monsters which would eat them. Death by lightning is a mercy in comparison. Additionally Percy/Poseidon had done nothing to hades to earn his ire.

In the original myths, Ares was one of the weakest of the gods. He was an embarrassment to the gods and greatly overshadowed by Athene even in war. Roman Mars on the other hand...

Poseidon is my favorite god but, as much as I dislike Zues, he's still stronger than Poseidon even in the Percy Jackson series. He went toe to toe with Poseidon without his mater bolt and he can strip any gods, including Poseidon and Hades, immortality away in a jiffy. That alone is proof enough that he's the strongest
He can’t take away any of his siblings immortality only his children’s or minor gods and Poseidon is more powerful in both the Percy Jackson books and real myth

After the Olympian rebellion he stripped Apollos and Poseidon's immortality and forced them to build the walls of Troy. This was mentioned by Apollo in the Trials of Apollos first book which means Zues can do this even in Percy Jackson series

This video is based on Percy Jackson and feats which were shown in the books. Non of the gods mentioned showed any remarkable feats. Dinonysos was the knocked from his chariot while fighting typhon, Hestia didn’t even participate in the fight and never showed her supposed power. Heck hestia was shown to be nervous when Hermes was unhappy. Doesn’t really paint the best picture. In her own words she is the most lesser of gods. Aphrodite merely threw petals in her fight with her giant bane and Demeter is scarcely mentioned in the pj books

That's based mainly on his position as the King of the Gods. If Zeus wasn't King, his power wouldn't match his older brothers who let him be King because they weren't as ambitious (that's implied in PJO not necessarily in the actual myths). Also, Poseidon isn't afraid of him, it's pretty obvious since he's willing to go to war instead of just trying to convince Zeus that he doesn't the bolt in TLT which is easier but hurts his pride.
Also the rebellion was foiled mainly because someone helped Zeus escape, and more importantly because the gods were asking Zeus to be a better king not exactly attempting to overthrow him (again in the TLT not really in the myths).

@@shadowhunter2190 First up I'm referring to the TLT where it is said that the Poseidon and the rest were attempting to "make Zeus into a better king". That was their main goal at least in the PJO universe which is being discussed. The actual myths might differ but there's many version to them anyways. More importantly Zeus was rescued, he didn't free himself.
As for the quest, Poseidon is sending Percy to prevent an unnecessary war. Like Chiron says, Poseidon's pride wouldn't allow him to convince Zeus, which he would have done if he was actually afraid (keep in mind both Poseidon and Hades have their own kingdoms with separate palaces that are grander than Zeus' kingdom on Olympus).
Again the point is that Zeus has a lot of power as the King of Olympus such as sentencing people to punishments, but it's not his power, its the power of his position. If he is replaced by say, Poseidon or Hades, they would have the same authority and Zeus wouldn't be able to do anything about it. The reason Zeus was able to immediately punish four gods after being freed was because he was still king and hadn't given up any power. If anyone else replaced him he wouldn't be able to do that.
On an individual basis both Poseidon and Hades are more powerful because they are older and have more diverse and dangerous domains. I mean Percy can create storms and cause devastation on land and those are not even Poseidon' main domains over the sea. That's more than any son of Zeus can do.
@@huba1378 that's because Percy is the main character, and if you're going about domain Zeus main domain is the Sky that covers the entire planet, so his domain is far greater than both Hades and Poseidon, and if age mettered why is Hestia the weakest of her sibilings, why Demeter didn't destroyed her brothers when they raped her, why Hera is not able to defeat Zeus if she is older than him, and finally why Kronos the youngest of the Titans was the most powerful of them.
Also in Percy Jackson Greek Gods, it was stated that each child that Kronos and Rhea had was more powerful than the last, and in the same book it was stated that before Zeus punished the gods who rebelled against him he used as literally target practice, and Poseidon during that time was more arrogant and prideful than Zeus.

Well I don't consider zeus strongest.In many ways hades and Poseidon are stronger than him,but didn't Apollo say in trials of Apollo that he can't snatch the godhood of other gods.As apollo mentioned that once Zeus together with Apollo also snatched the godhood of Poseidon.
