    Awesome for someone who has been riding dirt bikes and starting off on the road, fast enough for a great time but like the video explains its really forgiving

      They are super fun! Even after riding for years and everything under the sun I still have fun on them 🤗

    I don't understand why we call these beginner bikes. There's plenty of power and manageable throttle control. On City roads in traffic, why would you want to constantly be focused on babying the throttle? These bikes are fun and plenty fast. Believe it or not I've ridden everything from 1100 Ninja which I started on, to 1300 cc's but I am having the most fun right now on a 300 Kawasaki Ninja 2013 SE edition. The 300 is a l little sluggish uphill I'll admit that but still super fun and peppy with plenty of speed for around town and highway Riding. I've also been riding for over 15 years. I agree, at this point a new suspension setup would definitely make it better. Especially since I'm a taller and heavier rider. However, we can always find something wrong with whatever we are riding and can always tweak it to make it better. Great video by the way.

    Nice, detailed review on the Ninja 650. Good camera angles too. Thanks. I like the orange on that bike. I have a '21 Ninja 650, and it's a lot of fun. It can handle any freeway or road situation much easier than my prior 250R.

    "I wanted to go straight for the Hayabusa, but as a semi-new rider, I think I'll pick up a 650 and maybe move up later. There's no way I'm starting on a scooter! 😂 I'm a pretty big guy."

    40th anniversary 500 or the 650l? I'm really torn between them as I absolutely love the 40th colours but I'm stuck riding LAMS for 3years so I believe the torque from 650l would be great (own 500 already). If money wasn't a concern what would you guys buy and why. Thanks heaps in advance

      Ninja 650 for sure. Mainly because if you want to modify your bike there is already a bunch of products out there for it. It can take a long time for some models to ever get aftermarket parts to actually be readily available. Also the ninja 650 is a proven platform to be reliable. I am sure the 500 will be as well but you never know. It could end up having issues and needing recalls but you are guaranteed to have a good ownership experience with a ninja 650. However, that's if money is not takin into consideration. The ninja 500 is sooooo much cheaper. If I were a new rider and know I'm not keeping the bike long. I'd get the 500 and save the money for the next bike

      you should be fine because the footpegs are also low, and you could also get a higher seat if you really wanted too. you should go into a dealership and sit on one first thorught

      The Ninja 650 would be fine. You won't feel as cramped on it as you would a supersport. The best option though would be the Versys 650. It's the same motor in a small touring platform so taller by a few inches and higher bars. You'd be very comfortable on that 👍 I want to say the older versys models were taller than the current gens even.

    Do you think I could start on a 650 while being 5’10 155 pounds

    • @akcycles
      @akcycles  6 дней назад

      It depends on your confidence not size. If you take the class and the 250s they have you on make you feel uncomfortable (meaning uneasy or nervous) and you struggle with balance that's fine start on something small. If you were confident on it and had zero issues in the class a ninja 650 is a really fun bike you can learn on. If you are buying new though look into the new Ninja 500. So much cheaper 👌

    Are interstate speeds, okay? Not wrapped out in 6th gear?

    • @akcycles
      @akcycles  6 месяцев назад

      Highway speeds are fine for the Ninja 650. You definitely don't feel like you are ringing it's neck like on a 250 or 300.
