That's one hell of a dark sky moving in. There's a lot of colors people associate with strong t'storms; obviously that deep slate blue color is common, sometimes turning turquoise, green, purple both indicating intense precip/hail in the cloud, black which I think is often exaggerated. But one color I never hear describing a storm like this is brown. I've noticed storms are especially intense when that hue appears like at 2:37 along the shelf. Incredible whale's mouth underneath as well! Like the ripples of underside of a crashing wave.
Man this footage is worth watching and sounds make it even more real . God Bless you .Thanks for posting this kinda weird storm love how it does the shelfs .
Man, stop being ignorant, you probably get accustomated because this storm occurs with a certain frequency. This guy is so accustomated with this storm, that he minimizes it. Yeah, i'm replying a one year ago comment, you dont need tell that to me.
Fantastic coverage!! I was in St Joseph when it hit. This shelf cloud aka wall cloud was dark and amazing to watch roll in. The only thing you can't tell from the video is the temperature change right on that line and the wind. Amazing stuff
Where I live, thunderstorms usually occur in the afternoon and evening. But sometimes, they can also occur in the morning but ONLY when there is a powerful cyclone forecasted
The main things I remember about Missouri when I was at Ft Leonard Wood was the heat, the what seemed like lightning storms every night and tornadoes and the sheer humidity.
What an angry and dark severe thunderstorm with destructive winds and heavy downpours and amazing shelf clouds for the arrival and approaching of the storm or storms. Mother Nature surely was probably upset that day. Awesome video catch on this severe thunderstorm here.
It's weird.. In Oregon, where we don't get many storm's anymore but, when we did or do, we alway's know when the storm is over because it starts raining but here, the lightning came after the rain storm.. Fun storm.. 🤗
I have new subject disaster management in my class my friend told when thunderstorm and lightning happens go outside and call your friend agal then you will get lot of energy
Looks like the camera used for recording this video has only one side of the microphone. You can only hear from the right while wearing headphones. It is better to check the video audio to make sure it records from two sides by either re-encoding the audio from mono into stereo or making sure in the future to test the audio source from the mic to enable stereo recording. Just a friendly advice.
What a frightening looking sky!😮. I would hunker down 1# feet underground seeing that scary sky. With my brave stuffed animals in hand for protection!!
I am 68 yrs. old and I have to say that I have never seen storm clouds like this before. I have lived in Ohio, Arizona and in the Philippines, in the Philippines I have been through a number of Typhoons, but never seen storm clouds like these. There has to be something going on in the atmosphere, I believe these storms are being "pulsed" to create such formations...........
Those are some menacing looking clouds at 2:30! Where is this place where you are filming? I mean the business or the building. A mean storm to say the least!
In the Pacific Northwest Where I Live, we don't get that many thunderstorms thank god, and storms like the one in this video Are Rare and are unpredecent for Much if not for the whole Pacific Northwest
Love the sound of those crickets while that storm rolls in. Sounds so peaceful

Man I thought that was gonna be a horrible severe thunderstorm but it was just a lot of rain and some lightning and thunder
AND wind

I love your channel, blessings from México ♥️🌹
It looks like night time on the inside of that shelf cloud. Yipes!
Serious looking clouds, no wall cloud, no rotation, so no funnel cloud, no tornado!
I'm not surprised if a twister comes look how dark and ominous those clouds are
Worse is if you can't see it because it's rain wrapped obscuring the funnel. This is how it was during the Joplin tornado.
:-(
Man I remember when living in Dallas meant we got to see beautiful storms like this every year. Now we never do
Where you at now?
That rain is Gods gift. It cleanses the earth and make food grow that sustains life
The crickets makes sound peaceful but then you know whats coming. Great video...🤗🤗

It's called a whales mouth after the shelf goes over you.

The first few minutes reminded me of the opening of Twister. All that's missing is the ominous cellos.
