    Anything over 2 watts I wouldn’t even use indoors unless you have something to shine it on as a barrier that it can’t go through like a big rock or tile or something and of course with glasses on due to the brightness there will be and because of starting a accidentally fire. Under two watts you can be okay as long as your careful and not holding it at the wall at one spot for any given amount of time and also if you have a barrier which don’t hurt. Under 2 watts you can technically be okay without glasses if your super careful and only shine it on dark things that are mostly black that absorb most of the light but it’s very risky, light colored objects will still be super bright and could cause long term damage overtime, and if you hit something reflective it’s over for your eyes. And ofcourse don’t even shine it and anything living or aircraft’s or other peoples houses as it could hurt someone and get you a felony. Just looking out for y’all.

      I was legitimately considering a lighter version of this as a daily carry, particularly in case of an active shooter situation. Definitely look at your laws before considering this as home protection. Things like booby traps are illegal. Certain things used in defense will add a lot of headache at the very least. And also consider that this is not a great thing to have around ready to fire up at a moments notice. We get lax and people get curious. You may never have guests or may never let people into your room, but five years down the road you may. You forgot about it. Someone sees what looks like a flashlight and clicks it on unsuspectingly.

    • @MysticPSD
      @MysticPSD 2 года назад

      @@Shonade_Malik From what I've heard, the laser 303 (532nm green) emit infrared as well since they lack a proper IR filter. The IR output can be much higher than the visible one, and thus it’s much more dangerous. It might even penetrate protective goggles designed to protect from green lasers. (letting in IR light) I might recommend you to wear safety goggles as those lasers will probably cause major damage to your eyes overtime. (Even if you didn't point it straight into your eyes)

    • @Shonade_Malik
      @Shonade_Malik 2 года назад

      @@MysticPSD Any DPSS lasers have IR being emitted. Either the IR filter is not put in properly, or like you said, it's not the best quality. The best way to test this is to put a green laser in the freezer, then take it out after a while. You won't be able to see any light coming out, because there's only infrared radiation.
      Also, you're kind of right, I should wear them, but the thing is that the IR being emitted is not very powerful, and won't secretly destroy your eyesight over time.

    • @Murdic3k
      @Murdic3k  28 дней назад

      Great questions. The batteries drain fast after sporadic use/after igniting a few matches, about 5-7 minutes, the batteries weaken and the laser loses the ability to burn. At 8-10 minutes the laser fades and loses all power. I don't use the laser a lot and haven't replaced the batteries yet, but I am curious if higher quality batteries would have different results.

Came with 5 different caps to change on it for I think different design patterns for a laser light show, etc. No directions, safety manual, etc. The ad says it can be used for your animals to chase the beam, fun with friends light show, etc. Didn't know about the dangers of this laser when I bought it! Don't know what strength of protective glasses to buy if I keep it and don't send it back!? Have not used it, or turned it on yet! Am afraid to now after reading some of these comments! I do Not want to hurt anybody, myself, or animals, etc., if someone like a neighbor or someone happens to look over and sees the beam that's going up into the sky, but not actually seeing the laser light beam coming from the laser beams tip itself, or pointing it at any reflective surface that could reflect back at anyone, or animals, but pointed directly straight up in the night sky!?

    It's absolutely not purple - 405-450nm are violet. Purple is 380nm
    And as a *fun fact* - it's considered an original blue laser - that's the first blue laser wavelength made and that's exact color you have in Blu-Ray drives.
    "True" blue is around 460-473nm (very expensive and rare laser diodes)

      The original link is dead. I believe that this product actually violates some sort of trade agreement regarding the power of imported laser. As a result, sellers are shut down from selling it. They eventually pop up under a different name and continue selling until they're stopped again (and again, and again...). After reading the comments, I have learned that the quality control is horrible so buyer beware. I would recommend a company called Zeus Lasers. I have heard good things.
