Brian and Roger must be amazed at the talent you two gentlemen have. But I think they must have seen that when they picked you to join the band. They certainly have a knack for picking fabulous musicians to join them.
I don't know how many times I've come back here. Everything is just amazing. It shows their talents and deep love for Rush. PLEASE, we want more of these!!!
The quality of the playing, the video production, the concept, all top notch as most have noticed and pointed out. But the drum solo - this is so next level that I don't think most people understand how perfect a tribute to Neil this is. Saying this as a drummer and huge Rush fan, this goes beyond "a cool solo like Neil does" and digs way deeper into exhibiting seriously advanced concepts that Neil developed over decades of putting together drum solos. The free form stuff, cross-sticking, pad triggers, freaking sevens over threes - I am blown away sir.
It sounds fantastic but nothing impressed me more than hearing Tyler recreate the "Permanent Waves" album. I'd love to hear a recreation of Hemispheres or A Farewell to Kings or 2112!! Or maybe just a few choice tracks from all of them. I'm a huge early Rush fan, my favorites are anything between Fly by Night and Moving Pictures. Tyler you're voice sounded great covering Geddy on Permanent Waves but I'd love to hear some of those high early Geddy vocals.
7 months in (since I first watched this) and only 417 likes? And less than 5k views? All I can say it there must be something wrong with the RUclips Algorithm You guys deserve far more exposure than you get. Neil I've never heard anyone be as Geddy as Geddy is. Tyler, aside from PW, i've yet to be more impressed Simply superb
WHOA!!! From the top, the production is STELLAR! Neil... tone, style and your influence is SPOT ON! One thing that Ged never does is slap. And your addition is perfect! Tyler, I'm a huge fan of your Permanent Waves cover. You've definitely outdone yourself with this! Your attention to the guitar tones and your own little guitar solo phrase is delightful! Then there's the drum solo.....as a drummer, ummm.....WOW! This was a very tasteful choice to do. Bravo!! Cheers to Tyler, Neil and... The Professor Dirk And Lerxst!
Wow so good to see you behind the drums and that drum solo, while Neil is feeding his face 🤣🤣, brought back a lot of good times. fantastic job you both👏👏👏👏
Individual musicianship: A+ Stage presence: A+ Track Authenticity and Performance: A+ Improvisation and solo performance: A+ Sound recording: A+ Digital sound and sample accuracy: A+ Storyline and Plot: A+ Overall tempo and swing: A bit fast, don't ya think? LOL Post production (video and sound): A+ I can't wait to hear what else you get up to in the coming weeks, months, years. Best covers I've ever heard. (I'm talking about everything I've heard you do. Including T-30) And that's saying something. I've seen some real greats in my time. You take the trophy. Awesome! Just awesome.
THIS IS MY THING!!! HOLY JAM MOLEY! Absolutely epic all around! Now only if you had done the production on RUSH albums. The levels and separation are where they should be!
Unbelievable quality in every way! I knew Neil back in the Olden Days and I'm delighted he's up where he belongs and not lost an iota of his humour and persona. Good lad Neil! As for Tyler - Sheesh! Awesome! I'm new here and am now a firm fan of Tyler - always was Neil's biggest fan (Fairclough and Peart!)
Great to see how two incredible musicians appreciate the genius of Rush. Love how Tyler mixed a few of Neil's solo elements. Thanks for another great video! You guys are excellent!!
Rush and Queen are my two favorite bands so all I can say is "I'm not worthy"! 😂. I'm amused that you're from Camden cause one of my favorite drives is from Camden to Eva when I would take my kids to Lakeshore. After I dropped them off, I would always jack up the sound and play " Red Barchetta" as I sped along that curvy road. I say we get Queen w/Adam to play the Soybean!! Thanks for the jam guys, awesomeness!
You guys are great.. thank you for another great cover. It shows you really enjoy your love of music and are awesome musicians. I’d love to see you one day onstage with Q+AL you taking frontstage and singing/playing a song... you deserve it! Thank you for keeping us rockin’ through hard times... 🎸🥁🎹🎤
You hope I enjoy it????? I’m continually floored by your talent, Tyler and Neil. The recording and the editing are fabulous as well. I can’t wait for the next video and thanks for making us happy while we wait for more birthday tributes( please do those again this year.). Virtual hugs to both of you. 🤗 🤗
I'm crying my eyes out Tyler!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING. Thank you sooooo much for this tribute to The Professor. I have yet to recover from Neil's passing even though it's been 18 months. Such a treat to see this arrangement. I just discovered you today, and what a treat it was. THANK YOU!!
This is so cool .. brings me back to my childhood and listening to roll the bones over and over and over again .. thank you for the awesome tribute cover .. you guys are amazing !
This is awesome! Just love seeing you two doing your musical magic. Your enjoyment is so visible, it just adds to my enjoyment! Great job guys. More please. 😚
That's one of my favorite track of Roll The Bones album and you guys did it so well! You can't imagine how happy I am hearing you going to do more Rush! Good job!!
SO happy you guys are still getting together to do these - Queen birthdays or not!! (Though Brian's is coming up soon -- !!!!) This ROCKS!! Can't wait to hopefully see you two on the road soon! ✨ -- As a postscript -- can I please put in a request for you two to cover "Resurrection" you know ... to celebrate Bri re-releasing Back to the Light this year ... 👀💥
Can I say it's great you have so much free time with Flare and the Decan Traps to do thia as well for us? You should do Friends will be Friends btw. Thank you so much for this and the ones on the way. Love you two💖
I remember when this came out and i could play comfortably numb well and then i heard this funk riff and was like sht im fd. This was my into to funk. Took it to the teacher and hes like its in g major and its a piece of a c maj 7 and D dominant on the funky part. You did it well but sound like Alex is sliding into the parts. Took me years to do this riff well. Lifeson is an all around master and so underrated. He nailed that funk part proving he can don that as well as Nile Rodgers too. All respect to legend Nile Rodgers just sat Alex is amazing!!
This is great! Please do more of these. We miss you. I hope Queen + Adam will consider changing dates to star their tour in US instead of Europe and do it this Fall or Winter. I am sure there will be very few restrictions if any since the vaccination campaign is going steady.
Ridiculously good. There is talent and there are you two. Just goofing around with note perfect precision. More, damn it. More. Tyler - loved the PW video. Would love to hear you take a crack at Grace Under Pressure!!
Wow!! Super job ! Hope you can do the Moving Pictures and/or Signals album at some point. I watch your rendition of Permanent Waves frequently and I am still amazed every time. Thanks for this!
Fantastic!!! *$##autocorrect Fan TAS tic !!!! Deserves to be stated twice anyway, as my first time with Mr Fairclough, so welcome, (me)(oops). (Sorry, only one Neil in this R-fan's humble existence, aaand, I like your name without the Neil, anyway ;-). My first time seeing live Rush was for RTB tour, Fiddler's Green in Denver, if anybody cares. Buuut, more importantly, it was my first long awaited anticipated and (some other a-word, not 'and') Solo, from the master/God/masked rider/whatever himself. It did not disappoint, and, this being the first Solo I have seen from Tyler (there are, of course, solos and then there are Solos), you sir, sorry, Sir, have not disappointed! That came out wrong. You didn't suck. No, that's probably something Neil (close ears Mr C, or not) would have said, and then only about himself. Hmmmm.... How do I put this?! How 'bout this: Rethinking the comments posted by other(s) on your PW album (there are videos, and then there are Albums, and PW2 would, I dare say, be insulting, but I digress, but, HEY, THERE'S MY THING: THE other 'A' FROM ABOVE- your Album ;-). So, the comment was about how Lerxst and Dirk might want to join your band (apologies again Mr C, and, well, at least Pratt, if not directly to...😔). Note to self, stop being nice and say what you mean. TOUR WITH RUSH MAN!!! I love you, good night. Mic drop. Now go make a lot of money, including huge chunks of mine when you come to Europe, be sure to give some to Ben Mink, and mebbie even Mr C, so they can come, too, if not just to watch 😐 and be Nike. Just.Do.It.
Stunning bass and drums; get Brian and Roger to join and have proper Queen/Rush fest. What a night that would be
Brian and Roger must be amazed at the talent you two gentlemen have. But I think they must have seen that when they picked you to join the band. They certainly have a knack for picking fabulous musicians to join them.
Neither Brian nor Roger come close in terms of technique as these two…or Rush for that matter
AMAZING !!!!!
Rush is number one band in the world !!!!
This is an incredible tribute to Neil Peart! Also the video edition was very fun. Thank you guys ti keep Rush alive! ❤
Fairclough? that right hand is a masterclaw !
I don't know how many times I've come back here. Everything is just amazing. It shows their talents and deep love for Rush. PLEASE, we want more of these!!!

Nice job Tyler and Neil!! Just seeing this 👏👏👏👏
Nailed the 'waltz section' under that drum solo, and loved the bass intro - pure talent guys xD
One of my favorite rush instrumentals. Get goosebumps every time I hear it
I can not believe I've only just found these videos!!!! Absolutely bloody brilliant guy's. I know lock down is over but PLEASE keep doing them!!!!
Neil is EVERYONE during a drum solo (no matter how brilliant). 😂
