May God be with you Apostle

Happy Sunday everyone! This is Megan. I’m the person Apostle was referring to in her last video post. Like you, I’m cheering for her to find the right home per God. But yes, that is challenging. To get it right with God, He tests us. He gives and He tests - since Adam and Eve.
I wish I could say I live every day as a ‘handmaid of the Lord’ type of person, but that isn’t always the case, and is a struggle. So I thought I would share my side of Apostle’s house-hunting story, since all things work together for His good (Romans 8:28).
I wasn’t sure I was doing the right thing. With so much suffering and need in the world, I had no idea what to do with the inheritance I received from my aunt. When the first bank transfer I wired to Apostle didn’t go through, I thought, “Why isn’t God letting this happen? He told me to do this. It pleased Him. Why isn’t it working out? Am I wrong? I’m failing…” - you know, all the second-guessing, not understanding stuff you go through that the enemy then uses against us.
Thankfully, God is patient and understanding and will correct you, if you let Him… and He’s right.
The Lord reminded me that’s His desire for us - home. Home and family (John 14:2; Genesis 1:28). Our inheritance is that inheritance so what better use for my inheritance than to give someone home and be family. As I said to Apostle, it’s all ours to share.
However, what I had to give wasn’t enough. Do you ever feel that way? Like you’re not enough or don’t have enough or can’t give enough. I felt like that. What if Apostle’s new home needed repairs, yard work, furnishings, and so on and so on… The Lord stopped me in those thoughts, too. He reminded me that He’s an experienced carpenter and would take care of the rest. Trust Him.
My life also feels like a mess right now. I’m exhausted from mess. Too tired to give it all to God because of mess. More attacks of guilt and failing. Then God brought me to Noah and really made me think about building the ark. How messy that was! Think about the pitch and the lumber and the animals and the sweaty, dirty work that must have been. Noah’s calling wasn’t all Bible study and worship and miracles and choir song. It was years and years of mess to get things right with God. The Lord reminded me that there is a time for that. He allows a space for mess so that we can ultimately get it right with God - as long as we a willing to work through it with a heart turned in His direction. We keep covenant with Him the same way Noah did.
Getting home to God is a challenge. It even gets messy. My bank transfer to Apostle eventually got through. And I have faith that she will move into the right house. And I know that the Lord will help her make it a beautiful home, because that is what He does - make things good - and more good will come from that. Because even when Apostle gets attacked or tired or discouraged, she turns her heart to God.
That is what God wanted me to tell you. The reason He gave Apostle Michelle a part of His inheritance is because she passed His heart test.
    And He is right.
P.S. - It totally makes sense that the Lord would lead you to a home further away from the city. The more time I spend with God (and whenever I ask Him to help me plan a vacation) the more He takes me to gardens and farms and meadows and woods and lakes and such. He doesn’t really like the world man has built. It’s not of Him and full of noise and distraction that is not of Him. It might not be as convenient, but living away from the city will make more room for peace and quiet and His presence (He’s going to live there, too ;-)
    Showers of blessings to you!
